I had a really unprofessional and painful experience at this shop. I went in to get my nose stud switched to a hoop after two years of having it, and instead of the piercer, the jewelry specialist (who is not a licensed piercer) handled the entire thing. She never measured my nose, struggled to insert the hoop, and reused the same taper multiple times. It was extremely painful and clearly not done with proper technique or care. I originally asked for a plain gold hoop, and was told they didn't have any. Later, I found out they did--she just didn't bother to look. I ended up being charged $93 instead of the $45 I was quoted, without a proper explanation. When I called back, she admitted she didn't even know what size hoop she put in my nose. Because the hoop felt too tight, I had to go back to change it--and was told I'd have to pay $50 more just to switch to the gold option I had asked for originally. This all could've been avoided if they had taken the time to properly size and show me what was available in the first place. To top it off, I later spoke with a different reputable piercing shop and described what happened. They told me they couldn't speak on it legally, but based on where I went, they advised I consider changing my jewelry--hinting that Finders Keepers may allegedly use fake or low-quality jewelry at times. Between the lack of professionalism, improper handling, and suspicious pricing, I absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone serious about safe, high-quality piercings. read more

Extremely clean and sanitary! Spoken to upon entering the entrance door. Love that! Everything was self explanatory, but the worker at the front end explained the entire process thoroughly. The woman that pierced my daughter's ears marked each ear lobe(asked us to examine where the holes would go and approved it before continuing) and pierced them fast and efficiently. By the time babygirl realized what happened it was completely over! We were given aftercare instructions as well as offered to purchase their aftercare kit. We used the kit daily for 3-4 weeks and honestly it's not needed, but we wanted to be on top of everything. We got her ears pierced when she was 6 months and she currently just turned 8 months old this week. The lady that pierced my daughter engaged well with her. It was a pleasant experience. She's healing properly and we didn't have not one issue from beginning to now. I recommend this establishment for any piercing you may be seeking to get. read more

Heck yeah! This place was awesome! Our daughter approached us and said she was ready for her ears to be pierced. We were very conscientious about ensure she had a positive experience that was as painless as possible. To get here, I'd highly advise watching the informative videos on what to bring, their process, etc. It's quite a bit but I'm sure the lawyers had a lot to say about how they're doing the paperwork side of the house. Either way, I'd highly recommend checking it out b/c it can matter. Next, I can't say how incredibly friendly everyone was. From the explanation of how everything works to the actual piercing event. The gentleman was exceptionally friendly to our daughter and he made it extremely pleasant for her. Did we pay a premium? Probably... however, I'd pay that premium all day long knowing that we were in a sterile, safe, and friendly environment. Such a win. 6 MONTH UPDATE: my daughter got her belly piercing here and overall we had a positive experience, however now which is 6 months later the piercing has healed but its off center as well as very shallow. So shallow that the barbell seems to be too heavy for the piercing. Eventually the pierced skin became so thin that today the skin holding the piercing just gave way, like the piercing was ripped out but it wasn't. We are no longer living in Virginia so we visited another professional piercing place here in Las Vegas and the piercer confirmed what I suspected which was the piercing to begin with was done incorrectly and wasn't placed properly. The belly piercing was placed way to close to the surface of the skin. I have My naval pierced and have had it for years. I've also endured pregnancy with my naval piercing (16 years ago) and because my piercing was placed properly at the right depth it has maintained well to this day. The piercers here need to be retrained. My daughter now has a ruined belly piercing which was expensive, and a ugly scar which I'm afraid she will be self conscious about. read more

My 500th review goes out to my quarter of a century crisis of wanting something new and then impulsively getting it on a random day after school! Not a shop I've been to before, but my friend recommended as this is the place she gets all her piercings done + changed. Friday afternoon and there were no customers, but 2-3 did come in after us. Forgot their names, but the employees were beyond awesome! Very knowledgeable and had answers for everything. I like the front set up of the shop & the simple layout of the jewelry for all types of piercings. Our piercer was great about talking us through the process, showing us the equipment, and so much more. I definitely acted a fool getting my nose pierced...but I survived! Honestly it was a really bad experience. I felt like the piercer kept getting frustrated and just trying to make some money off of us. I took my daughter in (7) to get her ears pierced as a birthday gift and my daughter ended up getting nervous about the pain of it and instead of calming a reassuring my daughter and listening to her the piercer told me to force my daughter to do it she told me to force her hands down and then she tried scaring my daughter with a piercing gone wrong story. When my daughter said it hurt after the first piercing the lady would tell her no it doesn't and then proceeded to ask around the shop to everyone If piercing hurt or if she was just overreacting. When I told her we'd be leaving with only ear pierced she stormed away and huffed. 0/10 recommend this place the vibe was just off and as at hairstylist I understand in the commission world it sucks when things don't go the way we want it to but customer experience above all else. Whoever opened today 5/21/22 at 11am, was an old lady and RUDE AS HELL! All my sister wanted was to see if they had any gold hoop options and to see what gauge size piercing she had gotten done (she got her nose piercing here). My sister just wanted to see the options they had because they're a professional but also is open to getting gold hoops online. She only wanted to see the plain gold nose hoop but the lady kept pushing for her to get the most expensive one. Lady in the counter made rude remarks saying "we are professional but if you don't want to get it professionally done then there's the door" who tf says that to their customers??? She also kept saying side remarks about too many people came in at once at opening. Uh then you should've had employees come in to help out. Rude af, felt like we were getting rushed, not coming back here again. This is my google review. Owner replied back, instead of offering apologies, she just wanted to argue. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, but the prices were outrageous. We got piercings about 6 weeks ago at a Tattoo shop in Virginia Beach, and liked them so much we wanted more. The other store had a much larger selection of jewelry that was included with the $40 piercing and also included a cleaning kit, for about half the price of what I paid here for the same jewelry. My daughter got two piercings in her ear with the standard jewelry and it was almost $90. As nice as the people were, we won't be coming back. read more

We took our 1 year old in to have her ears pierced and she didn't not flinch. There were no tears no discomfort... nothing. I was beyond shocked at the overall experience. Making an appointment is seamless and necessary for baby/ children's piercings. Be sure to have all the necessary documents with you upon arrival or you will have to reschedule. The sterile wash they sell for piercings is an absolute must for little ones. The fine mist is both gentle and southing. We've had absolutely no issues with our piercing and I am writing this review after a few months and after revisiting the shop for replacement jewelry. Their counter person is also absolutely amazing. So kind and caring. There is ample parking and appointments are strongly encouraged for same day services. I came into today to get my nose re-pierced after having my nose ring out for 2 days due to surgery (it was a new piercing). Shannon checked my previous piercing and told me it hadn't closed fully so she was able to put my jewelry back in. She was very informative of the process and put my mind at ease. Ladies were super helpful when walking in for 3 piercings. She was able to do us all really quickly, and all the piercings came out perfect! Loved their communication during the process and about aftercare. It is a little pricey but the titanium jewelry is worth it, and I'll always be happy to pay a couple extra bucks to have a good clean experience when someone is shoving a needle through my skin. Really fast service for a walk-in piercing and lovely staff. The cheaper section for jewelry is still really expensive though, which was really my only complaint. I paid $120 for a cartilage piercing....the most I've ever spent on a piercing. But everything was done super quick and clean and the piercing is healing really well. read more

WHAT AMAZING PEOPLE!!! I have been here twice and have had the pleasure of being helped by Chantel each time. Her personality is amazing and makes you feel so calm and not bug out about the work you are about to have done. It was honestly a breath of fresh air with all the crap going on in the world. Something that was a big plus for me was that she made herself available via social media if I had any questions or was freaking about anything during the healing process. My first visit was closer to the beginning of COVID and when VA started to reopen- to downsize my forward helix as well as get help with a year old industrial that seriously HATED me (if it's even possible for piercings to do that). If anyone is worried during the COVID pandemic don't be- this place was spotless...cleaning in between customers, hand sanitizer, gloves, masks I felt like the proper precautions were taken. My second visit was her and Dak... this visit was just as friendly and was such a breeze for a follow up of the below and the start of my earlobe gauging process. Thanks again guys. Got my navel pierced here a few months ago by Kimberly. Let me start saying I love Finders Keepers, the prices are high but has always been a great environment, quality jewelry quality piercers. So, I picked out jewelry, went back to get marked for my piercing. She placed it higher than expected. I realized *on my own* after seeing i must not have the right anatomy but wish that was explained other than me simply asking and receiving endless amounts of "i know what i'm doing i've been piercing for years people come specifically for me" throughout the rest of my experience. She said it would sit properly and I replied saying I trust her and let's do it (the "i've been doing this for years" etc never stopped after that even though I.... literally said I trust her and I shut up lol.) SO painless piercing, she put in the jewelry and it wasn't following through, she grabbed all of my stomach she could to force it it was truly traumatic. THEN the jewelry was too short, upgraded my jewelry for free to a nicer and bigger piece and it was still obviously ill-fitting, still tight no room for swelling, still can't wear it to this day. I left, didn't feel like still getting badgered if i questioned her by saying i might need longer jewelry. --- she never mentioned that since i didn't have the ideal anatomy that i was receiving a surface piercing, never explained possibilities of rejecting, never explained aftercare. 4 days later I went to the norfolk location (they were absolutely great) to get longer jewelry and had to get the longest size they had, it was a tight fit but worked for healing! Now, I have a navel piercing that will not fit any standard jewelry unless I want the obnoxiously long ones for pregnant people Finders Keepers will keep me as a customer hands down but I'll be sure to call first to see what piercers are in! *EDIT- forgot to mention prior to being pierced I was told it would be $70. After being pierced it was $100. The replies from the owner under google reviews are gross and off putting. Lastly went on their instagram and saw comments of it being a toxic work environment for employees! Rethinking if I'd like to visit again. read more

Walked in 5/22 with my boyfriend around 4:30 and there was one older woman with brunette hair working & assisting another customer. While cashing out the young lady, the woman comes over to my boyfriend and I and asks what we came in for. He told her he was not getting a piercing and I stated that I just wanted my septum done. She follows up by asking for my ID and immediately asking "You guys are wearing a mask, why is that" we state that it is a 'preference' followed by "we are not sick".... Her response was "oh no that's not why I'm asking" if not for business purposes, I don't see why wearing a mask would be a cause for questioning. 100% certain we're not the first to walk in with masks, why we were singled out, I don't even know. No clue how this place has high ratings. Either way . I don't feel comfortable with someone being that close to my nose with no mask. There was absolutely no enthusiasm behind her presence which made it that much more uncomfortable. Always go with your gut and mine told me to take my ID back from her and leave. The lady in front of me spun and got a free necklace, but since they were out of necklaces the cashier just gave her $5 off her piercing (which was another one of the prize options on the wheel). When I was rung up for my jewelry I also spun a free necklace. I figured since they were out I would also get $5 off, but instead the cashier just went "Sorry, we're all out of necklaces, that will be (insert regular price here)."
