They gave us all the info we needed on what earrings to get, cleaning instructions, etc. I appreciated the thoroughness of the paperwork and the requirement for both her government-issued ID and my driver's license. Clinton, our piercing specialist, was exceptional. He took the time to ask my daughter if she had any questions and answered them with confidence and clarity, immediately putting her at ease. His professionalism and gentle approach were exactly what we needed. He carefully marked her ears and proceeded with the needling. My daughter felt a little lightheaded afterward, and Clinton was incredibly patient and supportive in helping her manage that. Beyond the excellent service, the studio's cleanliness and attention to sterilization were truly impressive. It's clear they take hygiene very seriously, which was very reassuring. I cannot recommend The Body Bar highly enough. They provided a wonderful, safe, and positive piercing experience for my daughter. Funky chic furniture, copious amounts of samples and other art work on the walls...and the requisite ATM, that somehow blended gracefully into the environment in a way I hadn't ever experienced in a tattoo shop before. Seth was finishing up with his previous clients, a group that were very vocal about their admiration of the work he had done. He welcomed me warmly and patiently answered my questions with the deft touch of a true professional. He reinforced what I had read about with some of the problems of finger tattoos without hyperbole or sounding like he was rehearsing a sales pitch. It was exactly the type of advice I needed in that moment. We settled on the design... something that most assuredly wouldn't challenge his obvious artistic skills, but yet his execution was the work of a skilled craftsman. His steady hand and deft touch made for light work. We had an enjoyable discussion while he worked but my conversation never distract him from the task at hand. Pardon the pun! I waited about 20min due to 3ppl ahead of me. The gentleman at the front desk got me situated with paperwork so that I would be ready once it was my turn. The shop was extremely clean and spacious with a comfortable waiting area. Mak the piercer, called me up and educated me on the plethora of jewelry options for nose piercings. I settled on a small stud and was ready to roll. Mak was so accommodating, welcoming, and calming to me during this process. She mentioned being an apprentice of Brandy and gave her all the accolades on her craft. Mak thoroughly explained everything I would experience during the piercing process before actually sticking me. This was unlike any other piercing experience I've ever had. Mak was quick too, but not like she was rushing me out. She ensured I was ok the entire time, and made suggestions on placement from her experience and WHY! She also suggested that I close my eyes. This was extremely helpful as well as properly breathing through the process. After I got done the quick and nearly pain free process, I had a small tear from my right eye as she stated I would. The worker asked what service we were looking to get and I tell her my teenager wanted to get a nose piercing. She tells me the piercer is not in. I let her know I received a text saying we could walk in between 1-9. They insist the piercer is not there and the neighborhood guy says he's on vacation. However the text conversation that I had after leaving and taking my business elsewhere told a different story.

I took this as a sign that they do good work. I was not disappointed. Not saying shops that have walk-ins available are not good but this is a small shop and they stay busy. I set an appointment with Yvet (@inkedbyvet IG) and am very very impressed! First off we did most Everything prior to showing up at the shop through chatting on IG DMs. This was different for me but I'm always happy to try new ways to conduct business. By the time I showed up for my appointment we had agreed on a design and most details and she had everything set up and ready to go! That was different than going in and working up a design, I liked it! Really saved time! The shop is very nicely set up. Clean and comfortable! There's a big TV to watch NETFLIX if you want to watch a movie. I am extremely excited with my new piece!
