My mom had great experience in this office. They did good job. Very professional. Definitely suggest their service to family and friends.

Worst dental experience and never got a procedure done! SO néeded a tooth extracted and primary dentist said it needed to be surgically extracted. Referred to Artisan Smiles and set up consultation and ultimately appointment for extraction. Got a call 1 week prior to appt that sedation and "required" CT scan not covered and services would cost over $1000 out of pocket. Called insurance to review and was told that sedation was approved for 1st 15 min and would need post review findings to cover additional time if needed. CT would be covered if they submitted through medical coverage and not dental with proper paperwork. Office personnel insisted that it would not be covered due to their prior experience with their contract with insurance company--- even after 2 separate phone conversations with 2 separate insurance reps that told her it WAS approved. Office personnel would not listen to rep (on a 3 way call and heard entire conversation) and kept talking over the insurance rep to tell why she was right. Ended up at different dentist same day procedure was scheduled and had tooth extracted with just novicaine and $0 out of pocket. This office is just a money grab and not interested in advocating for patients or even getting assistance with filing proper insurance claims. read more

The Reading, PA office told me I needed to be sedated to remove 2 teeth, because all they do is sedation dentistry. Insurance company denied coverage, saying those 2 teeth can be extracted with only novocaine, no sedation. They told me my out-of-pocket cost for the sedation would be $2100! I went to a different dental office. This dental office said I can have those 2 teeth extracted with just novocaine, and my insurance would cover the procedure. My out-of-pocket was $0! Needless to say, I had the extractions done at the other dental office. Artisan Smiles almost ripped me off for $2100, and I'm on Medicaid. DO NOT GO TO ANY OF THEIR OFFICES! THEY ARE A RIP-OFF! Always is something at this place, they always charging me for X-rays or whatever they call the 3 d X-rays, when I called the insurance they said I don't need that X-rays 3D for extraction , and I paid 90 dollars for the X-rays 2 weeks ago , the insurance do not approve because I don't need it, is extra but they charge me now 280 now for something that I don't need read more

Called my insurance before I got anything scheduled. Came in for what I thought was going to be an extraction but was only the consultation. Fine, whatever. But the day BEFORE my actual appointment to get my tooth extracted I was told it would be $950 out of pocket for something I already KNEW my insurance covered. Called my insurance back and they told me that Artisan Smiles did not fill out the form correctly and that is why the insurance was denied. Called artisan smiles and they sent me to their billing department whom I have yet to hear back from. Numerous similar stories like this on here. Literally get out while you can, they try to scam you and get you to pay for what is covered by insurance. They're trying to prey on poor people. This is borderline insurance fraud. read more

I can honestly say I had a great experience with this office. They were super friendly and professional. They also took my matter very seriously and took special care to help and keep me comfortable. From the time I made my appointment to the time I had my surgery was literally 9 days. They were sure to inform me of everything that was taking place. The staff and doctors made me feel very welcome. They also made sure to take extreme precautionary measures to avoid infection and to make sure I knew exactly what the purpose of everything I was prescribed was. I am currently three days post op and about 60% healed and when I called with a question not only did they call back expeditiously and we're very reassuring that I had nothing to worry about. read more

RUN!!!!! Don't think twice just run If I could give them 0 stars I would. Worst experience I've ever had. They pulled the wrong teeth on my father, this is after the submitted the wrong teeth to his insurance company. My father has memory issues due to brain surgery a few years ago. When he went for the consultation nobody was allowed back with him we have all been thinking for a month he was getting his bottom teeth pulled (which all of are infected) instead they are pulling the top. When I went in and told them no they said he's already signed the papers and then called the cops on me. So not only did they charge my dad $235 out of pocket now he will have to spend it somewhere else to have him bottom teeth done since they will still be having problems. They also signed him up for their denture program which again his family was not aware of. read more

this place is not professional. the moment i walked in this office there was an overwhelming amount of people waiting, and they had a little girl helping around the office desk. this place tried to say i need to pay almost 200$ for a "special scan" aka a CAT scan. when i know that my insurance covers any dental work. i had an appointment last week and they took a regular X Ray of my mouth they said "i need to come back next week for a CAT scan because they couldn't see exactly what was going on before surgery and they said come back next week (today) so we can get approval from the insurance company to run this scan and it will get it paid for". to sum this place up, i wouldn't do it and i wouldn't go. read more

Run while you can! Not only did the oral surgeon and dentist argue over what was going on in my mouth while i was in the room....i had to have several surgeries and then after the oral surgeon said he may have gotten bacteria in my mouth and that is why i may be having problems, he referred me to my family physician! now i get a rash in my mouth that i never had before along with burning! Maybe its not from what they did but i find it awfully suspicious! Lets not forget how the side of my face was PURPLE after oral surgery or how they wanted me to make decision while under sedation. would not recommend them at all! read more
