Now I had to wear a retainer, which was provided to me. In November 2022 I retired and moved down to Florida. Prior to leaving Dr. Olson and his staff fared me well and gave me molds of my teeth in case I needed to make more retainers or for anything else. With all of the hassles of moving and settling down, I lost my retainers. I looked around at many dental facilities and no one would use the molds and I was quoted $500 to $900 for new plastic retainers. My expenses had been stretched and I found it to expensive. A week went by and I could feel my teeth moving out of place. So I reached out to Dr. Olson and his staff for help. They stated that they still had me on file and could have a new set shipped overnight. And for a very reasonable price. Wouldn't you know that literally a day and a half later I had new retainers. I kid you not, if I was a millionaire I would offer to move Dr. Olson's entire practice and house all his great staff to wherever I end up. It's this type of compassionate service to their customers at Olson Orthodontics that makes me wish I had more services like them around me. Worst dental experience and never got a procedure done! SO néeded a tooth extracted and primary…read moredentist said it needed to be surgically extracted. Referred to Artisan Smiles and set up consultation and ultimately appointment for extraction. Got a call 1 week prior to appt that sedation and "required" CT scan not covered and services would cost over $1000 out of pocket. Called insurance to review and was told that sedation was approved for 1st 15 min and would need post review findings to cover additional time if needed. CT would be covered if they submitted through medical coverage and not dental with proper paperwork. Office personnel insisted that it would not be covered due to their prior experience with their contract with insurance company--- even after 2 separate phone conversations with 2 separate insurance reps that told her it WAS approved. Office personnel would not listen to rep (on a 3 way call and heard entire conversation) and kept talking over the insurance rep to tell why she was right. Ended up at different dentist same day procedure was scheduled and had tooth extracted with just novicaine and $0 out of pocket. This office is just a money grab and not interested in advocating for patients or even getting assistance with filing proper insurance claims.
