Now for some details: We bought an apartment in Portland but we were still living in NYC, so the entire renovation was done remotely. Anton was very easy to communicate with. He handled receiving all the materials and fixtures, and even let me send some items to his home (like a bathtub!) so it doesn't disturb my new neighbors. He also brought in my regular mail. I actually got compliments from my neighbors for how Anton's workers helped them with some random stuff. Anton promised and delivered on finishing the renovation before we moved in. While it was a pretty tight schedule, I kept making it harder on Anton by increasing the scope as the renovation progressed (because I was so happy with the work). Even though I kept adding more work, Anton was still able to finish everything by the time we moved in. He and his team are very dedicated hard workers. There are no surprises when you get the bill either, prices are given upfront and that's what you see at the end. As for the work itself - very high quality throughout the vast range of different tasks (flooring, replacing exterior windows, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, replacing kitchen counter etc.). Anton was able to squeeze every inch of space, upgrading our kitchen substantially - shifting some existing cabinets to make more room for a bigger fridge, increasing the size of the sink to the absolute maximum given the existing cabinets (which we didn't want to replace) and even installing an imported faucet that doesn't match the US voltage (for boiling water) or plumbing fittings. I'm so happy with the work he did for us and I hope you hire him too.

The project was huge, had a few unknowns, and FED went out of their way to ease my my mind as well as inform. Our project was large, including new LVP in the entire house except for one bedroom. It entailed removing existing laminate, carpet, and sheet vinyl (which means particle board base). Sam and his crew also removed all baseboard in the entire house and replaced with new. From the very beginning Sam was very helpful in offering suggestions and providing resources to select the flooring and base board that was perfect for our home. Throughout the process he was responsive and prompt and could always be counted on to follow through with his commitments. When it came time to demo and install, we had some special circumstances as my husband is disabled, and as the work progressed - we had to make sure that there was always a clear path for him to maneuver and a comfortable and undisturbed space him to be. Sam made it a priority to create a plan that served our needs - at times at the cost of what was most timely or easiest for him. He did this with a kind heart and a very respectful attitude. This is in my parents home and apparently carpeting bathrooms was a thing in the 70's. Sam came by to have a look a day or two after we first connected thru Yelp and scheduled the job a few days after that. Sam is very knowledgeable about all types of flooring and shares his experiences and recommendations in a positive and easy-to-understand manner. He does not sell flooring but he knows how and where to get the right stuff. He was sending me links for baseboard at 9:30pm! Sam showed up ON TIME even after stopping by Lowes to pick up some materials I purchased online. Once he got here, he immediately started working and when finished he thoroughly cleaned up. He takes pride in his workmanship and it shows. His work and work ethic are first rate. He is now our go-to guy for future jobs.
