I went with the Latin Lunch Line and it was a hit! People were raving about the taste, and the fajita bar idea. Lunch was delivered on time, and our delivery person (I'm so sorry I don't have the name) did a wonderful job of getting everything setup, allowing me to focus on final presentation preparations. Artistic Affairs catered my recent wedding. My fiance and I wanted the food to be something fun and interactive, and we decided on build your own gourmet burgers. Artistic Affairs was wonderful at helping us create our vision. The food was fantastic and the service was seamless. In addition, they offered phenomenal appetizers -- SO good -- pressed watermelon and feta, Gus' pretzels and white cheddar dip, chicken pot stickers, a cheese/apple/honey baguette. Although we went with the burger bar, they do also offer more traditional catering as well -- they have an incredibly expansive menu. Also they had a great price point compared to competitors in the area -- about half the cost of some other quoted prices. read more

We hired Artistic Affairs to cater a memorial celebration at the Stone House of St. Charles for 100 guests and they did an amazing job from start to finish. They helped us plan the setup of the event and had everything perfect when guests started arriving. The entire team that worked the event was tremendously helpful, courteous, and professional and they all did an outstanding job. The food was absolutely amazing, desserts were delicious and we will be recommending them every chance that we get. This past Sunday Artistic Affairs catered my wedding. Leading up until the date we got along well. Todd and Lya seemed as if they were organized and were confident in making my dream wedding happen. Our tasting scheduled with them went amazing (so we thought). The food was great, actually warm, and Todd and Lya communicated to the Bride and Groom that specific changes they asked to be made to their menu were easy fixes (i.e. adding a green to the sherry vegetables, serving sauces from squeeze bottles so they would not be in open containers, serving dipping sauces for our specialty cake, and serving individually portioned appetizers-suggested by Todd). Fast forward to the wedding, none of the changes were made and Todd, Lya, and on top of that their staff did not comply with the couple's covid protocols of wearing masks and gloves when serving food or not allowing the guests to serve themselves (yes, we paid for additional staff and yes our guests still had to serve themselves). In addition, the smoked turkey with maple glaze in natural juices turned out to be sliced turkey slathered in gravy thus making it inedible for our guests with gluten intolerances. We were VERY specific about the allergies of our guests and were frustrated that they cashed our check for something we did not pay for. I spoke with Lya following the wedding and for every complaint I had about our service she met with attitude and defensiveness pointing the issue back to me. Following the pointless conversation with Lya, I sent an email to Todd asking for a refund for the turkey entree to which I have not received a response. I will never do business with this company again and have communicated such with the venue so that they are aware of this matter. read more

My employer recently chose Artistic Affairs to cater a birthday celebration hosted at her home for about 50 people. I had researched several local catering companies prior to selecting Artistic. After looking at menus, reading reviews, and initial discussion concerning the event, Artistic was the obvious choice. They created a tailored menu for us based off of their website sample menus. The choice of food served is important to the success and tone of the event and Artistic Affairs nailed it. Moreover, the delivery and set up of the food was on time and without glitch. The food was the right temperature and the presentation was beautiful (even on disposable severing dishes). Nearly all of the dishes were gone by the end of the night with the Spicy Chicken Quesadilla Rolls (with Salsa Cream) and the Herb & Lime Crusted Grilled Shrimp (with Chili Aioli) vanishing first. As a veggie lover, I was impressed with the Marinated & Grilled Garden Vegetable Display. It's easy to put less care into a dish like this - but the flavors were fantastic. Working with Cam Harshman throughout the process was an absolute pleasure. Equally accessible by phone and email correspondence, coordinating with him was an easy task. I never had to follow up on a request and he also didn't pester me as sadly, many vendors will do. Because of the success of the birthday celebration, we hired Artistic Affairs for a much smaller in-home business dinner party for 10. The menu had to accommodate a gluten free dietary restriction and cow's milk allergy. Again, they did a fantastic job creating a custom menu and the food was reported as delicious. The full service catering was just that - they unloaded, prepared the food, served the food, attended to refills, table clearing, and then cleaned everything up. The host was able to have the valuable conversations connecting with her guest and enjoying the evening as Artistic Affairs covered all the work. Because of the outstanding food, willingness to customize, Cam's friendly disposition and the attentive manner in which Artistic Affairs has taken care of our events, we wish to continue our business relationship with them and look forward to our next event. I have had multiple opportunities to utilize their services and not only are they affordable, they quality of the food, presentation and service is WONDERFUL! The first time they catered an event for us I saw there was a HUGE DIFFERENCE between a cook who caters and a chef who has a catering business. The food is beyond good, it is amazing. The presentation even better. Who remembers what they ate at an event five years later.... the folks who have attended every one of my events do... it is just that good. I love that there is still chatter about how good the brisket, hog wings, grilled veggies, signature cocktail, cobbler was from our last party!
