Most times I just go in to walk around and look, not to buy. (2nd Saturdays are a great time to do this) Customer service is a priority to the owner and her employees. They can help you with any custom framing job, and if not what you wanted - they will make it right. I am a reseller of vintage goods and recently acquired an amazing lot of old sheet music from the 1910s through the 1940s. The covers have incredible graphic design and art--the kind that just makes you feel good to look at. I wanted to be sure my customers could see how the sheet music covers could be turned into wonderful wall art, so I brought a few of my favorite pieces to Artistic Edge to get them matted and framed. Kathy was fantastic at helping me bring out the beauty of these already beautiful items. Wanted to get something framed and I had a coupon for this place, and I thought, 'eh, why not?' I am so glad that I did, though! They did fantastic work. They have convenient hours and they have lots of quality art for sale/on display around the store. A few weeks after I went there they mailed me a hand-written 'thanks for your business' note along with a coupon for a friend! It's in a strip mall on a busy street, but it's so much more than its surroundings suggest. This place is great! The first time I went there I needed three different items framed. I originally went to one a bigger chain store that offered framing but there was a limited selection and the price was way too high. I then stopped in at Artistic Edge and they helped me pick out frames that ended up looking amazing. I was also very impressed with the price. I went back there to have a fourth item framed and it also turned out great. They are incredibly friendly and provide great service. One of my frames was damaged when I moved and they replaced it free of charge a year after I bought it. It looks like they are expanding and I am very excited to see how everything turns out. I am so glad I had the honor of performing for a Second Saturday reception at Artistic Edge. The gallery is wonderful, plenty of room to enjoy the varied types of art to be had, but also very easy and convenient to find and to park. Which can be especially useful when you have a large piece of art, a sculpture to get to your car outside. I am partially writing this because of the people who came to the gallery, I was so happy to get to talk with people who love the art and many who have created a family-like connection to the owners and staff, it feels like being a part of a house party. I brought 3 paintings home from Uganda, on different types of canvas. Together, we picked the best frames for each painting. They used different techniques to stretch each piece and frame each one depending on the type of canvas. I am still sitting in the parking lot, just amazed at the wonderful and professional work they did. The frames are beautiful and bring out the color of the paintings. I took three pieces there to be framed. All of them came out perfect! They look awesome on my wall and better than i had expected. Family owned which i like and the lady that helped me pick everything out was super sweet. We had a blast picking out matting, framing, and the little details that made my pieces pop. I had some unexpected financial obligations i couldn't pick my stuff up when planned. The shop was understanding and held my pieces safe and sound for an extra couple weeks without any harassing calls or "reminder" emails. They were very patient with me and i appreciated that. I took in a 16x20 embroidered picture my mother completed 30 years ago to have it re-framed. I wanted to keep it similar to the original simple framing which was now falling apart. The most valued service they gave me was their ability to listen and understand what I wanted. Other frames would have probably made it more spectacular but she understood how important it was for me to keep it as my mother had created it. A spacer had to be added to keep the art away from the glass and she watched as I tried the different colors she offered. When I favored one she helped me see what it would look like and it compliments the work beautifully. They put a pocket on the back to hold the picture postcard which my mother used to create her rendition of the famous painting. The total cost was $251.81 and took about 2 weeks. The result was wonderful. It looks very similar to the original but with the museum glass (yes, it's worth it) the colors in the art just pop out at you. My daughter-in-law thought I had removed the glass when she walked by it. It is now ready to be safely passed down to future generations. Next I will take in my mother's watercolor to be re-framed. read more
