Their…read moredancers frequently made demeaning comments, and their overall behavior toward dancers from other studios was disrespectful and unsportsmanlike. What was especially disappointing was seeing these attitudes reflected by some of their teachers and coaches, who play such an important role in shaping how young dancers treat others. Dance competitions should foster respect, encouragement, and camaraderie, and it was sad to witness behavior that fell so far short of those values."

This below 5 rating is based on my recent experience. I gave…read moresome points for good customer service during the registration process, but after my daughter's first and only session, it's been pressing on me to leave a review... I took my oldest daughter to this dance company to hopefully introduce her to hip hop dancing - she is 4 and says she wants to be a dancer. She has taken soccer, ballet, tap, gymnastics, music classes, so just keeping in mind that this isn't my first rodeo on toddler classes. She also goes to school. I realize that in a classroom when children outnumber the teacher it is hard for them to pay particular attention to any one child - I get it! What I saw at this studio was a total lack of acknowledgment, engagement or encouragement. I literally saw the teacher move her to the side so she could continue her routine. I guess she was in the way but she remained to the side, as pictured, through the remainder of the class like a 'bad or disruptive' child. It seemed like a punishment. As I ponder on the picture - it makes me sad. This was my aspiring dancer's experience with dance! Wow! Not to add dramatics, but since this is my eldest child, and I am experiencing everything for the first time, I could only hope it didn't totally discourage her. She doesn't want to go back there but I do plan on taking her to other studios. The classes were very large at this studio and in most cases for that age, a second teacher is necessary. There was only 1 in this class. I also found that the dance move they were taught in this class, which not a single student could imitate at that age, was complex enough that adults probably couldn't either! I suggest adding another teacher to toddler classes or reducing the size of the class AND some training on engaging with that age group. I noticed that within 45 minutes, the children seemed to be standing around most of the time - I guess they were being instructed, not sure, since I could only see on the video as there isn't a glass screen like other places I've been to. Lastly, I picked up my girl at the end who burst into tears - I asked the teacher what happened and she shrugged and said I don't know, I guess she missed you. Never check on her or attempted to care. Glad I already canceled enrollment before that interaction anyway - I hope that my child's teacher would care enough, since she was the only child crying. A simple, 'hope you feel better next time and hope you try again' would have been nice. But a shrug does not work for me.

TwirlnShape is a hidden gem--and it has completely changed how I see myself. Seriously…read more I came in with zero dance background, just curiosity and a deep need to reconnect with my body. Since starting in March, my strength and flexibility have transformed. I can do things now I never thought were possible--moves that felt impossible in class three are part of my warm-up. My posture is stronger, my core is engaged, and I walk through life a little taller. Literally and emotionally. But the magic here isn't just physical--it's in the people. Black Garnet (Tash) and Kitty are absolutely amazing. All of the teachers are real, grounded, funny, and warm. They meet you exactly where you are. There's no pressure to perform or look a certain way--just encouragement to move, to try, to reclaim something for yourself. Yes, it's sometimes hard, but that's okay! The space itself is gorgeous: mirrored walls and soft lighting that are perfect for dance but still feel intimate--not exposed. You feel seen without being put on display. And the pricing? Phenomenal. Your first five classes are just $90--that's not a huge investment, and it's only a few hours of your time to start shifting how you feel in your body. If you're even slightly curious, it's so worth it. TwirlnShape isn't just a dance studio. It's a sanctuary. It's where misfits, moms, and anyone craving movement without judgment go to remember who they are. Take the class. You don't have to be ready. Just show up. You'll leave feeling more like yourself than when you walked in.

I love it here. It started as a fun thing to do once and became my happy place. The instructors are…read moreall so welcoming and supportive. I've never enjoyed breaking into a sweat so much! There are sexy chair or floor classes, Lyra, relaxing stretch classes, yoga with silks, and beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes in pole. There's absolutely something for everyone to try or master. Explore pole fitness and surprise yourself. Some tips for first timers: - **Don't wear lotion or oils for at least 6 hours before.** (You don't want to be slipping all over the place. I honestly try not to use any all day if I can.) -**No jewelry. Rings, watches or bracelets.** (It scratches up the metal pole and damages it. Plus you don't want to be fiddling with clasps when every one is waiting on you to start OR starting without you. ) - **Skin is in!** It's a good idea to wear short shorts and tank tops under your outside clothes or LESS. (More skin exposure helps with pole contact points.) - **Arrive on time for class or at least 5 minutes early.** (You want to be able to pick your pole. It's important to warm up with your instructor. Plus, you don't want to have to play catch up.) - **Bring a friend.** (It's so much fun I just have to share it. We laugh, get sexy, look great, and learn something new together.) - **Give yourself some grace.** (Pole has so many levels. If you don't get a move the first time, try, try again. I know it sounds like BS, but it's a pole you're doing tricks on. It's not as easy as it looks, but BABY, the muscle you build afterwards is so nice. Plus, at the end of the day, it's always going to be based on what you put into it as well.) - **Bring socks, make sure your phone is charged, and bring water!** (Socks are NEEDED! Your feet will thank you. Some folks graduate or invest in pleasers after they fall in love with pole. Phone charged cause you will learn a routine and want to record it and see your growth. Hydration is obvious. IJS. ) - **Check the studio's website for promotions, especially for new folks.** (I did a holiday package back in 2022 and now I can't stop won't stop.) - **Don't worry about what someone else is doing in your class.** (Pole is about YOUR journey. Of course, you want to keep up, but you don't know someone else's journey. Some folks walk in and will do a trick on their first try that you've been trying to do for months. It is what it is, and we have different strengths in different places. Have fun and if you want to master a trick/move, keep at it.)

My experience here is limited to just the Monday night class experience. I was greeted and the front door with a warm welcome by Kevin. I was hoping to attend both the beginner Bachata and a Salsa class, however, the classes that I was interested in were offered during the same hour. I chose the Salsa class and later learned the Instructor was Sean. I was waiting for the beyond the basics class to begin when Sean asked me to join the beginner class since they could use more women. I joined the beginner class, stayed for the next and had a blast! Sean's method of teaching the class makes it easy to learn the steps. The class environment is upbeat and a partner is not required. The studio is located in a shopping center and consists of two small dance studio rooms. The adult Salsa & Bachata classes are Sunday & Monday. They have organized opportunities to practice at Nemos on Thursday and Saturday. They also offer dance classes for children. A class is $20 dropping or a month pass is $65 and there is a Yelp check-in discount of $5 off the month pass. I was visiting here long enough to reap the benefits of a monthly pass. I enjoyed the classes and hope to check out the classes/dance events whenever I'm back in the area. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're interested in learning Latin dance.

This was a birthday gift from her children and they were not greeted nor were they taught the dances as promised on your flyer for beginners. There was no refreshments as promised and both owners were extremely rude and unprofessional. When they arrived they were asked if they belonged there and my mother explained she had advanced purchased ticket which she did. They were made so unconformable that they did not stay for the entire event. the only reason they stayed for the hour thy did was due to another customer/couple who walked up to them and started a conversation to attempt to incorporate them in the festivities. They were extremely unhappy and hurt that they were treated the way they were. I am extremely pissed that I entrusted you all with my mother and father on her most iconic birthday (50th to be exact). I am requesting a full refund and I will not refer your business to anyone I know as this was the most disrespectful turn of events I have ever had the opportunity to witness. My mother and father contacted me immediately after leaving and though they were thankful I tried to get them out of the house they were sad that I chose you all as the place to give them a fun, romantic, educational date night. Never again.... Stay clear of this place I would never give them a recommendation.
