I signed my 7 year old daughter up for the Friday artSPARK Camp from 9:15-1:30pm. The camp was a life saver because I had to work and she had "another" day off school. As soon as we arrived the teacher was friendly and kind. The studio is stocked full of everything imaginable to make art, and even things I didn't think could be made into art. The studio looks well loved and gives the impression that ART happens here. There is art on the walls that students have done. Not 2 minutes in the door and my daughter was on the other side of the room starting to create with the other children. This is a very comfortable space without giving the impression that you have to advance artistic talent. When I picked my daughter up- she was begging to return the next day. She left the studio with a paper bag full of all the things she made. She created a robot out of a tin can, an art representation of a science experiment, a collage, and painted a huge picture that now is hung on her wall. She has asked every day since to return because there are so many more things she wants to do. We are adding artSPARK to her Christmas list so that she can attend more often. When I asked her what her favorite part was- "I just liked that I could make whatever I wanted." I love that she was so encouraged to use her imagination- that was her favorite part. The studio offers packages of classes which cuts down on cost, and they offer an $8 introductory class just to see if you like it. You can do everything online- a major plus! My only grip is the parking. Since the studio is in downtown Littleton you have to find parking to drop off and pick up. I would suggest leaving extra time! read more

artSPARK absolutely deserves a five star review every single time. Not only does it provide a process based learning style that allows every child to explore their own creativity, but it provides an environment in which trial and error is encouraged. As someone who has experienced artSPARK as an artist and as an employee, I truly believe this studio is a one of of kind place that fosters growth of their students as unique artists and enhances their capabilities of finding inspiration in everything. There aren't many places anymore where kids can feel comfortable doing things their own way, but this is one of the most safe environments for it (and you can tell that the kids know that!). Artspark is everything a parent dreams of for their child. From an engaging atmosphere that allows children to open up for creativity to a wonderful opportunity for children to grow their imagination. My son attended a special Halloween class which was hands on and perfect for his sensory. My daughter and wife attended a parent child intention bracelet Workshop which was memorable and special for them. Both of my children have attended the Open studio on Saturdays which allowed them to create whatever they felt in the moment. The best part is that Michelle and Andrea are so patient, understanding, and kind which is so important when working with children not to mention they are talented beyond belief. This studio is the best! My daughter can not stop praising the teachers and the way they inspire the students to learn. My child has always loved art but has also had struggles in her life with sensory processing and can need support navigating certain social situations. This studio allows her to be her best self and explore different mediums while learning and socializing with peers in a positive, open, and stimulating educational environment. Andrea and Michelle allow the students to direct their own art in a way that expresses who they are and what they are feeling. This is not a cookie cutter art studio, it's the real deal and we could not be happier to have found this gem!!! read more

As an artist and life coach, I cannot say enough about artSPARK. I rent one of the studio offices upstairs and have been impressed on the occasions that I find myself observing the kiddos that attend. These art classes go way beyond the practice of imitating art that most children are used to. They are encouraged to think on their own (with appropriate guidance when necessary) and to use critical thinking skills to make their own unique projects in order to facilitate a sense of self-reliance and individuality in their creative endeavors. I just picked my girls (8 and 6 yrs old) from their first camp at artSPARK. They loved it and were asking to go again before we were even in the car. They did several projects and learned new techniques - their favorite new thing was using the hot glue tool. The co-owner Michele, who is a former school art teacher taught the entire class (i.e. they got instruction from a very experienced and knowledgeable leader). My 8 yr old was also excited to have made a new friend with one of the other campers. We've already purchased and signed up for several future camps. read more

A breath of fresh air where kids can choose what kind of art they are most interested in. We have been to many cookie cutter places that have predefined art projects, which doesn't leave much room for creative expression or exploration. At artSPARK kids are given the freedom and support to pursue whatever kind of art they choose. The staff is amazing and support them with tips and techniques. We love artspark! I have a 3 year old boy and he tends to bounce from one activity to the next, but during open studio (which we mostly attend) he's welcome to, even encouraged to express himself however he chooses. There are always plenty of engaging activities for him to choose from and when time is up, he never wants to leave. You will not be disappointed with a class at Art Spark! My daughters have both recently taken a class. My middle schooler took a drawing and painting class and loved it! She said that everyone was so supportive or her ideas and drawings and it made her feel so good! My 10 year old took a crochet/embroidery/weaving class and now embroideries on everything! We were traveling in Denver for a few months, and I was looking for a drop in art activity for my little one. After coming once, I couldn't get her to leave and she asked over and over to come back. The teachers are amazing with the kids. It is so important for kids to have an outlet to create and artSPARK offers just that. The kids have the freedom to create without constraints. I had a great time at artSPARK last night. The environment was super relaxed. We were given ideas of what to do, but encouraged to make our own art. I had a lot of fun and really surprised myself with the way my wine glass turned out. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something different to do. So refreshing to be at a Ladies event where all the art turns out differently! This studio is warm and inviting, tons of natural light. Inspiration galore. My 7 year old twins have done a painting and drawing class and camp and also a Christmas ornament class. They LOVE coming here and creating and come home with some amazing pieces. I attended the ornament class with them and loved getting to see what a positive and fun environment it is. Highly recommend classes or camps here! read more

When I think of pure happiness, it's taking my toddlers to artSPARK for an interactive, creative, welcoming workshop. This place rocks. We, as a family, don't sign up for a ton of kid programs and such and artSPARK is our one exception. It's worth every penny. read more
