It was during this time we interviewed his PA (gosh we miss her so much) and his office manager, Brandon. The minute the nursing home doc came in and basically refused to give the correct medicine for his MRSA infection, Dr J's PA jumped up and corrected the nursing home doc. When the nursing home doc asked who she was; I said, our doctor! So that's how Dr J and his staff was hired. Dr J has answered my calls in the middle of the night when my hubby has been sick. He makes same day appointments. The appointments are an hour long. When caregiving for a spouse it can be difficult to care for yourself. I was so impressed with the care my husband received that I hired Dr J and his staff to help facilitate my health care. I suspect they want to prevent their patience from getting second opinions. Perhaps they have some shady business practices. I called the office and left a message asking to be seen. I received a call back shortly after the office opened and I was told to come in at 11:30. I was SO relieved that I was able to be seen so quickly. I saw Dr. Knox and she answered all my questions plus I talked to her about a few pre-existing things that I have going on. I got a note for work and was told to go home and rest. In the past I have communicated with Dr. Knox through NextMD and her response time is FAST. She truly cares about her patients plus she's SMART! I hope she is my doc for a long, long time. The only negative is that since they have moved their office I now have to pay to park but it's worth it to see her.
