The community is open-hearted and the education and social setting has allowed our daughter to transform her anxiety into confidence and joy. Simply put, she LOVES school and begs me to let her stay as long as possible in aftercare. The way the administration has reinvented in-person learning during the pandemic is nothing short of inspirational. The outdoor classrooms are located on 6-acre, wooded campus that is buzzing with excitement, music and laughter. As an adult what I've discovered in my career (and life) is that I'm happiest during moments of being creative. This being said, the most significant thing I've witnessed in our daughter's journey at Waldorf is a blossoming of her inherent creativity which translates into more moments of happiness. As a mother I couldn't want anything more for my child. If you're looking for a heart-centered school that will nurture child's hunger to learn, grow and be be happy, I strongly encourage you to schedule a tour and whiteness the beauty of this education and school!

I can't say enough great things about the experience my son had at A Unique Learning Academy. He began at age three and continued through first grade. The foundation he received has prepared him well! The administrative staff (Mr. & Mrs. Hunt) have been nothing short of amazing! They ensure that the children are loved, respected, fed well and provided the best opportunities to succeed. The teachers are also amazing and provide the structure, rigor and reinforcement critical to student success. A Unique Learning Academy has provided a foundation for my son that will last a lifetime! The owners Mr. and Mrs. Hunt love what they do. Mr. Hunt is the cook ( good hot meals at breakfast and lunch with extra incentives for academic excellence.) Mrs. Hunt is the Director, business driven, a teacher, mother and a friend. The school only goes to 1st grade and when your child graduates they are very well prepared for 2nd grade. My son is in the 99th percentile 3rd grade 6 month level in Reading, Language Arts and Math according to the ITBS test results, My daughter was 3rd/4th grade when she graduated from AULA as well. This truly is an unique place, phonics, counting, reading comprehension, computer, karate, weekly spelling test ( not the baby words either). Learning begins at 1 years old. The children enunciate their words and are challenged to be critical thinkers. The teachers care, know the children and parents by name, The rates are reasonable in relation to the results you will see in your babies. I definitely recommend this school to all parents with babies, toddlers and young ones. This is the right path to achieve the strong foundation for your children.

My 3 years here were the best years of my entire educational career - including college and grad school! This place really is the most amazing school ever. I remember my first day just like it was yesterday. I was accompanied by one of my best friends, who was also making the big switch to a more civilized school. We sat in front of the bathrooms for like 10 minutes trying to figure out which one was for boys and which was for girls. Turned out you just use whichever one is open! In addition to just being an awesome environment, where you are accepted for being whoever you are, Paideia has a great curriculum. The year is divided into short and long terms. In the long terms, you take the standard stuff - physics, math, languages, etc. The short term is for classes that are a little more outside the box - Sociology of American Rock & Roll anyone? The teachers here are absolutely outstanding! You can totally tell that they love the school and truly believe in it's mission. And Paul, the headmaster, is just an all around great guy. Graduation was awesome. My graduating class was 57 people and Paul made a short speech about every single one of us! I am so thankful that I was able to go to Paideia on a scholarship. I regularly give them money so that others can do so as well. I am also backing them in their efforts to take over the whole block! Go Paideia!

Further more they don't invest any money back into the facility to make it better. For example the toddlers are watching TV on a tablet instead of an actual TV. And expectations for every child to be on the same level. Ms. Hall allowed my child to starve for 8 hours because she's a picky eater and made the comment for warming up her food that was provided with a drs note "oh I'm not doing all of that.".Ms. Nelson who's the owner don't care about the kids, hire anybody literally to take care of them off the streets without certification. Some of the teachers do wreak of weed or cigarettes. My child gained nothing being there. We removed her asap. Don't do it! No form of stimulation for the kids. The daycare staff don't care about them. I've passed by the school plenty of times and seen the teacher at food depot grocery shopping. It's a nightmare. My child would come home with rashes on her bottom. I've taken her home multiple times with the poop stuck on her. Find somewhere else. The facility looks good on the outside but offers no results according to expectations.
