Unfortunately, our experience with As Good As It Gets was extremely disappointing and raised serious concerns about billing accuracy, transparency, and communication. This company was hired through our property management company for a move-out cleaning at a rental home in Chico. We were charged $912, which was stated to cover 24 hours of cleaning across multiple days. This immediately raised red flags for us, as the amount felt unusually high compared to prior move-out cleanings we've had in the area. According to the invoice, cleaning took place on 11/26, 11/27, and 12/8. However, on 11/26, my partner and I were at the property all day moving with a U-Haul, and no cleaners were present at any point. On 11/27, I personally returned to the property to remove items from the garage, and again, there were no cleaners there. When we questioned this, we were later told verbally that the cleaning actually occurred on 11/28, 11/29, and 12/8, which directly contradicted the dates listed on the invoice. We were eventually provided with time cards, which showed a total of approximately 15 hours of work. After further review, and with the help of Ring camera footage from a neighbor whose camera faces the house, it appears the total time cleaners were at the property was closer to 12-14 hours, not the 24 hours we were billed for. What added to the confusion was the billing structure itself. Rather than charging a flat hourly rate for the total time worked, this company charges per employee, per their individual hours, which significantly increases the total cost and was never clearly explained upfront. Had we been made aware of this pricing method, we would have arranged for our own professional cleaning service. To better understand whether this charge was reasonable, we obtained multiple quotes from other professional cleaning companies in Chico, all of which were significantly lower for a full-house move-out cleaning. Based on our rental history, we have never been charged anywhere near this amount, even for homes that required extensive cleaning. We made multiple attempts to resolve this directly and fairly by providing documentation, requesting clarification, and asking for an adjustment to reflect the actual time worked. After we sent our supporting documentation, the owner stopped responding to emails and avoided further contact, leaving our concerns unaddressed. At the end of the day, all we wanted was honesty, transparency, and fair billing. Instead, we were left feeling taken advantage of and ignored. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to get written confirmation of pricing structure, documented hours, and clear billing terms upfront, and to double-check invoices carefully. I called Jeannie rather late because of some illnesses in our family (I don't like the cleaners being here when someone's sick, especially before the holidays). I told her I would completely understand if she could not find a time for me, as I know her crew is spread thin this close to Christmas. Luckily for me, she was able to squeeze me in! Jovanni and Cinthya came out today; a small crew, as I usually have 4 or 5 people, but they did a fantastic job. I'm not sure where Jeannie finds these great kids (20-somethings), but they are always friendly and efficient. I have tried other services, but I've never called any back a second time. I was referred to As Good as it Gets from my DIL, who also was pleased with their service. That was 2021, when they detailed a house we sold as well as the new house we bought; we have been using them monthly ever since. We have a pretty big house, and it's nice to have it all cleaned at once - smells so good when they're finished! Prices are very reasonable for what they do. We have also used them to clean out our gutters - that was a bargain, especially since my 70-year-old hubby didn't have to go up on a ladder! I was referred to Jeanne for a post-construction deep clean before moving into my newly renovated home. It was expensive (but also so dirty because of all of the construction dust). SO worth it, in my opinion. I thought Jeanne, Vance, and their crew did such a good job I hired them to do biweekly cleanings. They've been cleaning my house for 2 years now. I love them. If they ever accidentally break something (which has only happened twice - we're all human!), they immediately text me, and a replacement is at my house at the next cleaning. Jeanne came very quickly to evaluate my just vacated rental and boy, was it a mess. I have had her spruce up rentals a bit after the tenants cleaned, and she does as much or as little as I ask her, but this one she ended up cleaning in phases from top to bottom, starting with scrubbing down walls and cabinets of grease, grime and nicotine so painting could happen. Then over the course of several more weeks she coordinated with me and my painters and others as other work was done in other areas. Jeanne was responsive, flexible, and thorough, spelled out her plan of attack and sought my input on what--and what else--needed to be done. Her crew was great and worked fast and didn't cut corners. The renters here who complain about how many hours it takes and how costly it is to deep clean just haven't ever deep cleaned. I have nothing but respect for her and her crew. These people are liars. I rented a house for two years and they were the ones that the property management hired to clean the house after I moved out. I left that place in very good condition. I can see them needing a couple hours for some touch ups, but they ended up billing for 22 hours, nearly 3 full work days. This is costing me over 1000 Dollars on my security deposit, and there is simply no way they spent that much time cleaning a place that was already very clean. I have video proof that the house was left in good condition. So I tell the property management all this. They reach out to As Good As It Gets. They spin a story with no proof that I left the house with garbage everywhere, dog hair (never had a dog there once) and a condition that indicated I hadn't cleaned at all. So they doubled down on a lie and then tried to make me look bad. These are not good people, and I hope for the property managers reputation that they no longer hire a company as dishonest and malicious as this. They are effectively stealing from me with out a hint of shame. Then smearing me as a tenant. I plan on pursuing legal retribution; they cannot get away with this and deserve to go out of business. read more

I have used this cleaning service on a regular basis and hired them to clean when we sold a home. They are thorough, reliable, trustworthy, and do a fantastic job. I feel their fees are reasonable and worth it. I do not have to do deep cleaning because they cover everything from baseboards to ceiling fans as part of their regular service. Recently moved out of my rental to buy a home and the owners used this company to clean it after I moved out and long story short they completely took advantage. I had no control of the situation. We're not dirty people in any sense of the word we keep a clean apt but we figured why do a deep clean if the owners are going to pay to have it cleaned anyways upon move out. Waste of time right.. nope! This shady company billed the owner for 46 hours of labor!!!! Thats right folks! It took this company over 15 hours with 3 people on the job to deep clean a less than 1000 square foot 2 bedroom apartment. This is the most suspicious shit ever. Either you're slow as hell, someones not doing their job right/unexperienced, or you're completely taking advantage of the clock and milking it. The owner told me it took half a day to clean a bathroom... BULL SHIT!! I know for a fact everything didn't need a "heavy" clean yet absolutely everything in the apt was marked as needing a heavy clean. Really sad when small businesses take advantage like this. I can't believe the owners would let this happen to us after we took such good care of the place overall. BEWARE if you are a renter and this company is hired by your rental company to do move out cleaning. Guaranteed fraudulent time will be billed. I recently moved out of a 2 bedroom apartment, this company claimed to work 24 HOURS cleaning ultimately billing $633.00. The memo said heavy cleaning to stove, windows, and bathtub. I am very confused how 2 windows , 1 stove, and a bathtub somehow called for 24 HOURS of cleaning. Not to mention after speaking with multiple former renters, the trend became very apparent. Let me start by saying that the crew that came to clean my house was awesome. Extremely helpful and did a great job. BUT, while trying to remove something from a wall there was some paint stripped off with it. Not a huge deal if I had been made aware of it! Then when I call to ask about it, I get this response, "my crew doesn't make mistakes so I don't know why you are saying this". We were also quoted for about 250 dollars less than what I was charged. Mistakes happen I definately get that. But essentially calling me a liar rather than admitting possible faullt? That's wrong. I would have been happy to refer then to anyone and everyone until that point. 375 was my total charge FOR A 2 BEDROOM 1 BATH TINY APARTMENT. The lady running the show is also unwilling to talk to me at all about why she is charging me so much. BOTTOM LINE: GOOD CREW, GOOD WORK, ZERO CREDIBILITY IF ANYTHING HAPPENS ON THEIR END. They cleaned my mom's house to get it ready to be sold. When they were done, they left two grocery bags full of bottles, food containers, drink bottles, etc in the trast can and left it overflowing. They also put a bunch of other stuff like empty smoothie cups, other food and drink trash in with other bags and boxes of things outside that I still needed to sort through, my mom passed away and I was cleaning out her things. I forgot and left the vacuum and large trash can inside, and instead of leaving them for me they took them. I had to call to get the vacuum back. I had to take the bags of their trash to my house because the house was going for sale the next day and I didn't want the trash can to be overflowing. It looked like the workers cleaned out all of their own personal trash and left it there. Unless they had a part there when they were cleaning. There were other bags of trash that did not look like what I left inside. Granted i forgot a few things but I know what was left and what kinds of trash my mom made. Was not from her. When I told the owner about it, she said that her workers said most of the trash was from inside. Not true. She didn't even offer any kind of discount or say much about the trash issue. I was going to hire this service to clean my apartment before my lease ended, I had called and nothing was set in stone because I still needed to confirm with my roommates. My roommates and I ultimately decided to have the cleaning service be deducted from the deposit. We spent all day moving out of the apartment therefore I was not able to call and to give notice of the change. I then received a call the next day confirming the appointment, I kindly let her know of our decision and apologized for not getting back to her. She then retorted "Sorry doesn't count" ! I have a lot to clean with stainless steel appliances that show streaks if not cleaned correctly, wood floors that require special care, lots of nooks and places for dirt to hide and it is all perfect every time. Great attention to detail, flexible on what needs to be done, very easy to schedule and excellent communication. We recently used Jeanne and her crew to clean a small rental cottage consisting of a living room, small kitchen, bathroom and loft. Before they came the unit was painted and all of the floors were replaced. She charged us $500 and claimed it took 4 people a total of 20 hours to perform the work! You can't even get 4 people into the cottage. When we complained about being overcharged, she argued with us. We have used her in the past and have been pleased. Let me preface this by stating this is my first unsatisfactory review, but I feel the need to share. I recently purchased a home and moved out of my rental apartment. My complex used this company to clean my unit once I moved out. I cleaned the entire unit once it was emptied and always kept the unit clean. Our maintenance guy commented on more than one occasion about how I had one of the cleanest units in the complex! This company billed 16 hours of cleaning for my two bedroom apartment! I found it suspicious that their spreadsheet also indicated every single item they cleaned as needing "medium" cleaning. Nothing was marked as "light" or "heavy" (except carpets marked as light which had to be professionally cleaned by another company anyway). The invoice was also very contradictory as there was a note that read, "The bathroom showers labor intensive cleaning." If the showers were labor intensive, why were they marked as requiring "medium" cleaning instead of "heavy" on the invoice? Additionally, I find it outrageous that the notes indicated showers (plural) as labor intensive, when one shower was never even used! I had an invoice for cleaning on a previous and similar unit and the hours needed to clean that unit by another company were less than half of what this company claimed. This company totally scammed my rental company and ultimately me. I will be contacting the rental agency after the weekend and will potentially head to small claims court. I am more upset about the completely false invoice than I am about the amount charged. If you rent, I advise you to speak to your rental agency about hiring your own cleaning service and avoid this one. read more

I had some questions about specifically what they would be doing and when I called the owner she was immediately diffuclt to talk to and defensive at my asking questions. She realized she needed to "be a better businesswoman" and we started over the next day. Again the rest of the crew was great, hardworking and very sweet. Unfortunately, newly painted cabinets were damaged by abraisive cleaning, and wipe marks are seen everywhere, only fix is to have them repainted. Even though they are the only ones to have done any cleaning of this remodel, the owner will not consider any fault and goes from zero to defensive in about 8 seconds. I have never met someone who gets mad at you just for asking what services are included, that's just strange. I can see why She only has 2 and a half stars(as of this comment) like others i have had problems with her cleaning services. She was hired to do a deep clean on our house she she stated that she would send 3 people out to our house and it would take 3 to 5 hours to clean. She also told us that the people who work for her have been cleaning houses for a long time. Well on the date of the cleaning only 2 cleaners showed up and after talking with them I found out that one had been their a week and the other was his first working as a house cleaner. Because they were striping the floors, they asked if we could leave. After getting back we found several problems, Their was standing puddles left from them cleaning the floor(which can ruin laminate floors and she assured us would not happen), Small end tables had not been moved and still had viable dust underneath them, They had taken apart the mechanism in my oven that pulls the racks out when you open the door and left them in a dozen pieces, and had left the sliding glass door still dirty which was something we had specifically talked about. After calling her she sent some out to take care of the door and oven.( I cleaned up the standing water as soon as saw it) The person she sent out was nice and cleaned the door but did not know how to resemble the oven. After this I thought the price was very high for what had been done but at least we were done with it. Well the next day after seeing invoice of services I could under stand the higher price but the problem was that a lot of the items listed hadn't been done. It claimed the couches had been moved, all the baseboards and light fixtures had been cleaned, and a couple other things which had not been done. After calling her she tried to argue with us and tell us that it had all been done, but after showing her pictures of the dust lines and stuff she had to admit that it hadn't been done and agreed to come out and correct it. After showing up she was very rude, several times she we tried to ask her a question and she either ignored us or walked away. In the end she left after fixing about half the issues on her summery of services.
