The invoice didn't say what they cleaned, only that they had been cleaning the apt for 4 hours. I already had the apt professionally cleaned and checked it myself (I also work for a professional cleaner). I know what to expect and what is required of a cleaning company. When I contacted the owner last week she said she would get back to me when she was in front of her computer so she could tell me exactly what her company did. I have yet to hear back from her. When I asked the apt owners what they cleaned they weren't sure, but said they think the ceiling fans and blinds (which were perfect when I turned over my keys to the apt). Here's some advice from someone who has cleaned and supervised many apt apartment move outs; it doesn't not take 4 hours to clean 3 small ceiling fans and three regular sized blinds in 4 hours, max it should take 2 hours in the condition we left them in. 4 hours if the blinds and fans were caked with dust, animal fur, smoke, etc... but this was not the case for our apt. When I spoke with the owner on the phone she stated that she was pretty sure she knew what apt I was calling about. Another tip; I only remember the apts where I questioned how anyone could live in filth or the ones where I question why a cleaning crew was even needed. Overall poor communication, poor use of time, and padding hours.

I personally spent at least 17 hours over 2 days cleaning my son and his roomates' apartment the end of June, 2025. I even took the covers off of the wall heaters and vacuumed all the dust out, vacuumed the water heater closet and cleaned the water heater off, on my hands and knees cleaning the floors, cleaned every baseboard, behind the fridge, etc. and so on, did everything I could possibly think of because I know what property managers expect and will possibly try to claim wasn't cleaned. My son received the breakdown of deductions from the deposit.......C&A charged for 15 hours of cleaning, over $500, and almost every possible box on the cleaning list was either D for dirty, or VD for very dirty. Excuse me????!! Thankfully we took pictures of everything, and you better believe we will do whatever is necessary so that C&A does NOT get paid for the cleaning that I did. There is absolutely no way that a small apartment would require 32 hours of cleaning, so that's proof that the workers are lazy and fraudulent. I used to be a huge fan of this company but perhaps the integrity of it's staff might be slipping…read more normally, i hang out and chat with the cleaner, offer them water, and generally hang around. they are a stranger in my house after all. they've always done a great job. however, this last time, i wasn't able to be there when they came and i had someone else be there in my stead. they didn't hang out with the cleaner though, they hung out in a different part of the house and waited for them to finish. when i got home i noticed that none of the places where furniture stood were cleaned. i had actually cleared the room and put all of the large furniture on sliders myself. it was 100% clear that the furniture should be moved and the carpet should be cleaned in the entire room. when i called for them to return to finish i was told that i'd have to wait 5 days!!! with my house taken apart. finally, i drove personally to the office to speak with Esther (who is awesome) and she was able to track the same employee down to return to finish the job. however, the entire time he was there, he was making excuses about how sometimes clients wants their furniture never to be touched, while others change their instructions depending on the job or their desires. i told him that if there was any confusion he should have asked and he would have been told the furniture needed to be moved and the carpet cleaned. i'm skeptical now that i'm beginning to think i have to be there to supervise because i can't count on them to do the job well the first time if no one's looking. to top it off, i think his 2nd job was ceremonial at best since it didn't seem to do any good where 'cleaned.' also, i caught him trying to dump his cleaning solution on my driveway but he stopped when he saw me. :-/ definitely disappointed after having been a huge fan and sending them so many referrals.
