I am so happy to give a review of As You Like It Gallery and Frame Studio. In 2002 my son was married. According to the Holy One of Israel all marriage is a covenant ratified before the LORD in the presence of all the witnesses at the ceremony. I was able to find a beautiful picture with scriptural wording for a covenant wedding, similar to a Ketubah. I had a unique idea on how I wanted to frame it. I went to several framing shops in the area and they wanted nothing to do with me or it. Needless to say I was very disappointed! A few days later I happened to drive down Limekiln Pike where it meets County Line Rd and saw "As You Like It". I went in, talked to Amy, and she could "see" what I could "see". Amy said she had never done it but was willing to try. That was all I asked! Just try. My idea was to make a double frame, one on top of the other. The top held the Ketubah and when you lift that up there was a picture underneath, with hand painted flowers, calligraphy, and lines where all the guests signed their name. To make a long story short, the finished product was absolutely beautiful. They say "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Several friends and people who were at the wedding have done the same thing for their family. It really is a conversation piece. I had the idea but it could not have been realized without Amy's artistic eye and skills and her willingness to work with me. From our first meeting I felt confident that we would succeed. A few years later she moved from that location and I did as well. 09/18 Recently I was very frustrated because 2 pictures I had framed at a local framer would not hang right. I went back to them and they told me that I had to use 2 hangers on each picture which sounded strange to me. Then I remembered Amy and As You Like It. Thank heaven's for our GPS. I made a trip to see Amy and in literally 2 minutes she adjusted something and the problem was fixed. I rue the time I wasted just because I didn't want to drive that far from my home. I recently googled framing galleries and "As You Like It" came up in Lahaska PA 18931 which is right next to Peddlers Village. I was very impressed with the write up of this gallery and called and spoke with Amy Rieser, who also is the owner . I made an appointment with her to frame a beveled mirror. I could see from the moment I met her that she had a true passion for what she does. I had taken pictures of the room that the mirror was going in which was extremely helpful in giving her a vision as to what would work best in this room. We spent quite a bit of time trying different ideas in various lighting before deciding on the final frame. We asked Amy to recommend frame designs for three oil-on-canvas paintings of our great granddaughter, Hannah, painted from a stunning photograph of Hannah with her ducks on her Kansas farm. The paintings had been done by three different artists, each of whom emphasized different colors and details. Amy created combinations of materials, frame colors and frame designs, different ones for each painting, that were just perfect. The results were excellent. The paintings now hang in Great Bend, KS, Tonganoxie, KS, and Lambertville, NJ. Amy is both talented frame artist and skilled craftsperson. As you like it is a charming shop in Peddlers village. I have been looking at places to frame some artwork that I had done years ago. I had checked out Ac Moore but they quoted a large amount even with the coupons. Wasn't planning to shop around looking for a framing shop but I am glad I did. Amy took a look at it and knew exactly what will go with it. She framed it in such a way that the artwork is displayed beautifully. The price is very reasonable too. So glad I found this place.
