I had eyelid surgery with Dr Morton He made my right eye smaller than the left. After surgery I had a reaction to the suture he used and he was gone so it took almost 2 months to get them out. Do no use this surgeon! I just had another surgery to correct the problems from his blepheraplasty. I was unable to connect with him because of the office staff member who diagnosed my post operative complaint over the phone and told me to go to the emergency room if it's was an emergency. This review of Dr. Asa Morton is long overdue. I did not receive any treatment form Dr. Morton, although a young child from Ethiopia that I had guardianship of was treated by him from 2010 through 2019. She had lost her left eye due to cancer. She had her eye removed in Ethiopia but did not have the medical accessibility to obtain a prosthetic eye while living there. We met Dr. Morton through a non-profit organization, Fresh Start Surgical Gifts, that provides needed surgery to disadvantaged children throughout the world. Dr. Morton provides his services to this amazing group free of charge. Adele began seeing Dr. Morton in 2010. She needed reconstruction surgery to her eye socket from years of atrophy and scar tissue. She also required additional surgery in 2014. Dr. Morton is nothing short of a living miracle in my book! He showed extreme compassion and expertise when treating Adele. Words cannot truly express how grateful we are to him for offering his time and helping Adele and other kids like her! My fiancé went to Dr. Morton for eyelids surgery. he was highly recommended. We planned the surgery 8 weeks before our wedding. Dr. Morton did the surgery the day before he went on an extended vacation. he assured us if there were post op problems another Dr. would be available. One of his eyes has not healed properly. 5 weeks after surgery it does not look right. he called several times to see the Dr who as covering. He was told the Dr. covering was out of the office and no one could see him. We leave today for our vacation and wedding. We are so disappointed and dissatisfied. read more

Do NOT go to this doctor!!! My mom was referred to Dr. Morton for droopy upper eyelids. Starting by office, everyone there is VERY rude and they have no patience just trying to rush you out of the door and they seem to get frustrated when you try to ask them questions. Well, on surgery day, we checked in at 10:30am for a scheduled 12:30pm. They staff had my mom ready by 11ish and we had to wait for the doctor who was running behind on schedule. My mom ended up taken back by 2:30pm... 2 hours late after her scheduled time which was extremely inconvenient for my schedule having to drive back and forth 3 times before she was done. I was extremely disappointed and unhappy with the way we were handled and my mom didn't leave till after 3:30pm! I personally think that doctor Morton's office are so greedy putting too many patients on the schedule for surgery. I am writing this review after we saw Dr. Morton for post op today. My mom's eyes are still swollen but her eyelids don't seem to look any better after the surgery. One of the doctor's assistants came to remove the stitches of the incision but she was also so rude and inconsiderate when pulling them off. When we saw the doctor and tried to express our concerns about not seeing much of a difference with results and how frustrated we feel about that... he started to get rude and said you are lucky that Medicare is paying for this and he sounded that he was doing us a favor as if he wasn't paid for it! Dr. Morton did eye surgery for me, to correct excessive watering. I had been to a few other specialists before meeting Dr. Morton and the conclusion was that this surgery was my best option. I initially had no issues with either the clinic staff nor Dr. Morton. My surgery was done in the midst of the pandemic and I think we were all a little nervous about Covid. Surgery was fine, though the recuperation was long and painful. I was scheduled for a post-op follow-up but that did not occur, due to restrictions imposed by the pandemic. I got no follow up call or an offer to re-schedule. After initial healing, I ended up with fluid under my eye-creating a noticeable puffiness. That was 2 years ago and it is just now starting to clear up. I am giving 3 stars, as I think some of my issues are related to the pandemic, but I still think a call to check on me after surgery would have been appropriate. read more

As a patient who had to sign up for Medi-Cal due to choroidal melanoma, being unable to choose your own healthcare provider during such difficult times is very unsettling. When it came to having enucleation surgery, Medi-Cal placed me in the care of Dr. Morton and his staff. I didn't know what to expect, as I've had terrible experiences through Medi-Cal. I couldn't have done enough research to know just how remarkable everyone at the office would be. They are kind, very caring, and treat you like a person and not just another file on their shelf. I recently had a successful surgery, but recovery did not go so well. The speed and efficiency of everyone at Dr. Morton's Office to get me the proper care I needed and feeling better is beyond measure.
