In 2024, Dr. Dao was conducting a routine check up on my vision when he correctly diagnosed that I was experiencing a rare inflammation condition in my temporal arteries, and sent me straight to the emergency room at UCSD Hospital in La Jolla. We then finished with reviewing my lens prescriptions, a glaucoma test without any puff of air(who knew this was possible!?), and a final up close look inside my eyes by the doctor's trained eye. Like everyone else I found the staff & facilities (office) to be great. New modern equipment and a staff that was friendly & knew what they were doing. Parking is a little tough but there are 4 dedicated spots for Mosaic so I didn't have a problem. We did one eye, waited 1.5 months & did the second eye. I'm now testing at 20:25 two weeks after the second surgery. I got the multi-focal lens in both eyes and while it was expensive there have been no other charges other than the hospital charges for the surgery. Dr Eck was never in a hurry, he answered all my questions & gave me all kinds of information that helped my peace of mind.
