I have been a customer for 8 years, my wife for 21 years. He does not force high priced maybe medicine. He makes recommendations and then you decide. If your visit gets held up, it's because an animal needed more attention than the a " Allotted time". When it's your turn your pet will get the time needed to fix the issue. They have been spot on every time no matter what the issue. His office is busy because he is great at what he does. I would not go anywhere else. read more

Update: I had a phone call prior to posting this from the business and when I gave my description of their employee "no one matching that description works here".. So, yeah I know what i saw. As I pulled in to get my car an appointment another vehicle was parked, an older woman got out and approached the EMPLOYEE entrance upon opening the door a brown boxer/pitbull tried to escape, the woman them HIT the dog 3 times and yanked the collar dragging the dog inside by is neck. So very sad to write this review after taking animals here for more than 16 years. Dr. Figueroa is an old school vet. He's kind and compassionate and doesn't nickel and dime you to death and when pet care can be so expensive, I appreciate his approach. The staff over the years has been a mix. Some good and some not, as with any other medical staff. I was out of state when a medical emergency came up with one of our animals and the girl who answered the phone was as unfeeling and as difficult as she could be that day and wouldn't give us an emergency appointment. My 20 year old daughter was here at the time taking care of the animals. She was having a hard time figuring out what to do and they made her feel stupid and they were mean. She called me crying. That's when we changed veterinarians. When I brought my dog this time and they called ASAP for our medical records (from her whole life), the girl that we had a problem with had written her biased side of the story (saying we were verbally abusive instead of upset that they wouldn't help us) in the chart and whomever was contacted for records, relayed that note to the new vet. THAT SHOULD NEVER EVER HAPPEN! The request was for records, not for an opinion whether or not we were good enough to be seen for care. I''M LIVID! I will be finding out if this was legal defamation, how to file a complaint and I want them to provide proof instead of this girls opinion of what transpired. Disgusting practice behavior. Figaroa spayed my dog on march 14th. she is just a little dog; but she has never been in a cage, and got mean and terrified when I left. she was difficult; even though she's not a mean dog. doc and his staff managed to restrain her; and her surgery went very well. when I came back to get her, they let me take her out of her cage myself, and she quickly settled down to her normal self. his surgical work was beautiful, and I'm grateful for their excellent work. he is the best. read more

I have mixed feelings about my cats' visit. Dr. Fig clearly loves animals and knows how to care for them. The vet assistants were also kind and gentle with my 2 kitties. However, I wasn't able to get my cats the medical care that they need. I paid $197 for 3-year rabies vaccines x2 and FLV vaccines x2, but Dr. Fig didn't have any tapeworm medicine, neither the pills nor the shot. He told me to buy it online. Also, I think my beautiful boy kitty might have ear mites, but Dr. Fig didn't check his ears. Also, he did not check their microchips. To sum up, all I got for my $197 was some vaccines and my 2 cats still need to be dewormed. I can't do that myself because the boy cat will scratch me so badly that I'll need stitches. That's why I wanted the vet to deworm him. Maybe I went on a bad day because 7 people were waiting outside with their dogs, but I can't pay that kind of money and not get medical care for my sick kitties. I regret that I can't give a 5-star review because I liked Dr. Fig. read more

Reviewing simply because I didn't appreciate how I was spoken to over the phone when asking about them taking new patients and the service I needed. The receptionist (a woman) was impatient, short and didn't care to understand what my confusion was. I have a career in which "customer service" is extremely important and unfortunately this one missed the mark. We will not be using this clinic for that reason. read more

Yesterday was spay day for these two. They are doing awesome this morning and should be back to their normal self later today. Dr. Figueroa and his team at ASAP Animal Clinic are awesome. I originally had appointments somewhere else for the spay, but I have some concerns about how animals might be treated there, since there are always terrible cries coming from the back. Claimed they informed but why would I go to Brooksville when I could of had gone to a vet closer to where I live. Vet is great and so were the vet assistants. Dr Fig and his staff are awesome. It was a super busy day, and with social distance requirements you could either sit in your car or outside. I hung out in my car with my little dog and took a nap while I waited and they came and got me when it was my turn. Dr. Fig checked my little dog over and gave me his advice on what shots to get and what he didn't really need (he is an 8 year old indoor dog), so I really appreciated that he didn't just try and give me every shot available to make a buck. The other gentleman who was helping Dr. Fig was extremely nice and gentle with my dog. He even let him pick him up and cut his nails, and sometimes he can be a little...fussy. The cost was very reasonable (I have paid DOUBLE at other clinics in the past!!!) and I was extremely pleased with their professionalism and honesty. After waiting an hour and 20 minutes we moved into a room after having an appointment at 1 PM... I would've been moved to a room where we waited another 15 minutes...The front desk lady is never nice. The place is dirty and smells dirty soon as you open the door. Seating is terrible for the 1hr and 15 minute wait before the scheduled appointment i had. Apparently they take walk in services the day i was in. 1. Clean your establishment. 2. It's 2022 if you are running that far behind get a text service to let your clients know how overbooked you are. 3. Tell the front desk lady to smile and be friendly. You are in the customer service industry. This is the 2nd time I've been here and both times she's unfriendly. 4. I was charged for an exam appointment... No exam was done. Her heart wasn't listened to. Her ears were not check (when you can clearly see she has ear issues. 5. on 9/1/2021 my girlfriend and I took our 11 yr old Rat Terrier in for a visit . First impression the exam room was not very clean. We met with Dr. Figarola who immediately called our dog '' a pain in the ass'' needless to say we did not appreciate his sense of humor, which only got worse. he denied Buddy was overweight at 28 lbs. , 30 lbs. overweight. when we asked the price of blood work he replied with a series of witty quips and analogies about '' how long does it take to eat an elephant'' followed by the fable of the frog and the scorpion. when my girlfriend explained she was out of work due to two recent heart attacks he answered with '' how the fuck are you still here'' despite our financial situation we had the blood work done, the Fig said everything looked fine, he never asked for a fecal sample or urinalysis. today we consulted another vet who explained in detail the blood work Fig did and found his platelets were high 623 way above the normal high of 500, which is a sign of cancer, leukemia as well as other disorders which fig did not bother to discuss with us. none of our questions and concerns were addressed ie. Buddys injured paw, lethargy, loss of bladder control and cluster of lumps on his stomach. he tried selling us an $80.00 bottle of cbd oil which I got elsewhere for $20.00, he sold us three asprins and charged us $34.00. we ended up paying $265.00 for foul language, inappropriate sense of humor. silly and belittling analogies a few asprin and absolutely no results. read more

My dog had been up all early morning Monday vomiting. My regular vet couldn't see him til fri. Dr fig told me to bring him right over. I had never even been to his ofc before. I had to bring my other dog with me and he even looked at her even tho she didn't have an appt. He did not rush us through at all. Was very conscientious about our budget. He doesn't just put a bandaid on the issue and send you on your way. He wants to get to the bottom of the issue and fix it. A wonderful and caring man. This will always be my back up vet from now on and the only reason he's not my first choice is we are holistic. I will say he loves holistic, he just didn't go to school for it. He's willing to work my holistic vet if need be which most have ego's way too large to work with anyone else. read more

Make sure you count your pets meds if it's pills before you leave the office. I was short 5 and kept saying well you were given 20. No I must not have gotten 20 because I only have 4 1/2 left. Well you were given 20 like I said. No evidently not, I'm not lying I had to only received 15 because I'm short 5. She says I'm not calling you a liar. Then why do you keep saying I was given 20 ? When I'm telling you I don't have enough and there is such a thing as human error. That I couldn't have been given enough. They didn't just disappear, no one else is here but me. My cats didn't eat them. So what now ? She said hold on and never came back to the phone. I hung up and they still haven't called back. So Shameful !! Now after spending money on my cats well being and they won't do right by it. I now have to spend even more money to take her to another vet to finish out her care. I have been going to DR. F. for 6 years. He is a very good vet. The problem is that they have no respect for your time. We brought our collie there several months ago on a Monday and waited in the parking lot for over an hour after our appt time to be seen. It was adoption day I guess. OK,np. It happens. I missed a bit of work. Friday we had made an appointment for 12:00. I left work and met my wife there. After sitting an hour in the hot parking lot we both left. My wife told one of the girls there she will not be coming back. The girls replied they only have 1 vet. Dr. F. followed here out to the parking lot and reprimanded her for not showing the staff respect. I will come back to respect in a bit. A guy I work with had called that morning and gotten his dog in at 11:30. An emergency of sorts. It happens. What they did is push us back and put him in front of us. NP. Here is the problem. The staff knew damn well that we would be waiting a substantial amount of time. They knew it when he made that appointment several hours ahead of time. They should have called all appointments and explained they would be waiting well past their appointment times or to re schedule. Too much to ask? It is common courtesy in a business where emergency's happen. Instead you feel it is ok to waste everyone's time, which is complete disrespect and let them wander around in their cars or a hot parking lot for hours. unacceptable.
