I reached out to 502 Construction via Yelp, and Ted, the owner, responded directly to me and came out to look at our issue firsthand before giving us a quote. It meant so much to be able to talk to him about this from the start. The stone facade on a back wall in our garden had fallen off, due to water getting behind the stone and freezing. We also wanted to add a brick topper to that wall, to match the wall on the other side of our back yard, and we wanted a metal railing added to the length to prevent anyone from falling off the side of the wall, which abuts our parking pad. Ted's bid was fair, and when he started the work, he was at our house everyday (excluding a couple of days due to bad weather) until it was complete. He was communicative and receptive throughout. And his work more than met our expectations. He had to individually measure and cut maybe 100 bricks so that the topper would work with the incline of the wall. He went a couple of places to find brick that would match brick we already had at our house, and he cut and welded the railing on site. We still need to paint the railing, but it is night and day better compared to what it was. (I will be sure to add before-and-after photos once it is 100% complete.) Ted is going on our list of contractors to have handy and to recommend to all who will listen.

I purchased a fixer upper first home and after a while i noticed quite a few cracks developing in…read moremy basement floor from around the support polls. this was quite alarming as this is my first house and it seemed as if it was falling into the earth. I knew of cardinal foundation through my automotive work, Steve(owner) is a fantastic customer of ours and i had been told he does fantastic work and decided to ask him to come and take a look at my cracking foundation. Steve quickly set up an appointment with me for the following Saturday, he took a thorough look around my basement and reassured me that all of the damage would be repairable and was honest to the point of letting me know that I probably would not have to address any of it right away as it was a slow sinking issue. However I expressed the extent of my concern to him and he set up a plan to repair and support my home. we set a date for a around 45 days later to begin, and as promised Steve and his team showed up and got to work, I left a key for him and by the time I was able to stop by on my lunch, less than three hours, they had already installed temporary supports and had removed five large sections of concrete for the repair. I was highly impressed as they did all of this not only in a extremely quick period of time, but also in my basement that has a staircase maybe three feet wide and with ceilings that max out at six feet at most! Steve gave me a call a few hours later to update me that they had poured all the new concrete fillers, cleaned and locked up for me. I of course had to take a curious peak at the work when I got home that night, everything was very clean and perfectly poured/ leveled. after letting the concrete set they returned about a week later and installed the new supports, after I stopped in that day on my lunch, Steve and his team were able to address a separate concern of mine and shim/ raise one corner of my home at the foundation. when I returned home that evening, walking around it felt like a brand new house! no more squeaks and rattles from the floor and I could jump up and down without a single noise from any of the surrounding rooms! I was very impressed! after looking everything over once complete i was blown away! I never thought a repair could be done both quickly and cleanly, it was amazing! throughout the whole process I felt informed and allowed to be involved as much as I wanted, I was allowed to touch most everything, I was also relieved to have someone I could trust in my home while I wasn't there. to top it all off the price was extremely reasonable and Steve informed me that he would stand behind the work and address any issues that could arise in the future, though I doubt ill have any issues based on the appearance of the work! I cannot say enough good things about Steve and his team! I highly recommend them to anyone that is experiencing foundational concerns of any severity. honest, reliable and fast!
