I have an old floor safe, valuables inside, and I can't open it because something is wrong with the combination dial. I called ASAP, they had me text them a picture of my safe, and in about 90 minutes Charlie showed up with his safe cracking tools. He opened my safe (yay!) and I took out my stuff, and then he fixed the dial and he didn't leave until I had successfully opened it several times. He even wrote down the instructions for me. I am upset because when I called to see what it would cost to get into my apartment, I wasn't given up front accurate information. I was clear about it being a doorknob (I was locked out of my apartment) and was told when I asked how much it would be, "$20 service charge + $25 and up depending on the difficulty of the job". Let's just say that it was 3pm on a Sunday and it took him less than 2 minutes to get into my apartment. Maybe even a minute and a half. The cost was a FLAT RATE of $130 for the doorknob, $20 + $25. That is $175 I paid. I just think it was wrong of them to not be honest and to mislead me into thinking it was going to be around $50 (maybe $75) if the door was difficult. Will never go to them again for that fact alone. read more

They quoted us $60 when I told them all my info about what car I was locked out of and all that. And then after 30 min, they came and said it comes out to $115. The service was quick but I guess scams are quick. If you're desperate. This is the place to call, just expect to pay double what they quote you. When I called them back asking why the quote was so different, they all of a sudden said that was just the "starting price" and didn't even let me finish asking my question. The rep told me they'd have someone at the home in 20-25 minutes and they delivered on that promise. Lucas the locksmith called me to verify my location, pulled up with lightning speed, jumped out immediately with his tools and introduced himself as the locksmith. He was very friendly and FAST. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE EXTREMELY SHADY. They state that they are based in Los Feliz when they are actually just a call center that subcontracts out to various poorly-trained locksmiths around LA (the address they give on their Yelp! page is a random house). I called this company based on their good Yelp reviews when I was locked out of my house. The guy who came out was about an hour late ("traffic" he said) and very unfriendly. He told me he would have to drill my lock in order to get in and then install a new lock, which I agreed to because my dog was locked inside the house and I needed to get in. He proceeded to drill my lock AND THEN let me know that he didn't have the equipment to install a new lock and he would need to come back, which is something you'd think he would let me know before drilling my door open. He stated he would be back by 7. The dude didn't show up until 9:30 (again, "traffic" he said), by which time we'd already called a new locksmith who was able to actually do his job and sent the original guy away. After the fact I learned that this is actually an extremely common scam that happens across the country wherein locksmiths game Yelp, Google, and other sites to make it seem like they're in your neighborhood when they are actually shady shell businesses using unqualified and/or unlicensed subcontractors. Seriously, Google "locksmith scam" and you'll find a ton of articles. read more

We just had a visit from the BEST locksmith we have ever used in 20 years! The call representative at ASAP was super nice, and sent Nate to our home on a Sat within 15 minutes, on the day before Easter. We have an old 1920's Spanish home. He fixed a jammed basement door lock and bolt, an old front door lock that kept getting stuck, a bedroom door with a lock that didn't latch, and a closet lock which had knobs that kept falling off. He was super efficient, knowledgeable, nice, timely (all work took about 30-40 min) and had all necessary tools and parts. AMAZING service and a true professional!! read more

These folks quoted one price over the phone to open a locked home office door. Once here, they quoted a price triple the quoted amount. Then, after negotiating a lower price, they charged me more claiming I agreed to one price to unlock the door and another price for the service call. Total misrepresentation.
