Every time I have visited MAGDONAL's lock and key, the Great Magdonal hasnt been present. Today I visited for some quick house keys copied, and again--no Magdonal. I vented my frustration to one of MAGDONAL's highly trained ninja Jedi assistant sensei locksmiths, and he explained that Magdonal trained all staff rigorously, so that in his absence all customers would be in good hands. He also clarified that Magdonal had his staff in place so that Magdonal could spread the lock and key gospel to the people of the world. What is a lock, with no key? What is a key with no lock? The lock/key yin/yang sermon. Without one, the other is useless. I realized I was being selfish and did not want to impede on Magdonal's mission. Staff was great. Quick, competent, and pleasant. Sadly this place has gone WAY down hill , I've lived in the area close to 25 years & have used there services for as far back as i can remember & was always blown away @ what i thought to be a business with integrity and could never say enough good things about this establishment !! The owner Mac seemed to be very honest and reliable , But as time went by , it just was not the same & who we he left to run the kiosk , not sure if it is all his extended family , did not have his same down to earth friendliness etc , they have no idea how to do business whit ZERO level of friendliness or work ethic & for example treated me as though i wanted a freebie !!!! NO i do t want a freebie just a certain level of respect please !!! The way they treated me @ the kiosk was ongoing & it was clear MAC was not addressing the issues since if only got worse as time went to where i did not want to use there services any longer & i had referred them to endless individuals and plugged them on next door app several times also !! The final blow came when i called Mac's the owner the other day since my key wasn't turning in my door and he said he ONLY works on CORPORATE accounts ??? Seriously ? You are doing so great in your business that you can do that ?? I did not feel like he was being honest whatsoever , But if he is then he can afford to buy a mercedes Gwagon now since he always admired mine but acted like he couldn't afford to buy one so now with his business blown up like he claims it has he can most definitely afford to purchase an expensive car !! Great helpful key shop. Came here looking to get help identifying what type of keyless remote I need as my vehicle's model year has like 4 or 5 different possible FCC ID's. The gentleman that assisted me brought a remote out to my car for free to check if it would work and even tried programming the cheap ones I brought with me that I purchased from Aliexpress. He did in fact have a compatible remote and even showed me the model number if I decide to buy it myself instead of from him. I could tell he knew what he was doing because he even remembered the vehicle's key programming sequence by heart and didn't even have to look at a reference guide on his phone or anything. I was recommended to this location from someone at Home Depot because their key making machine was broken. Thus place is less than 5 mins from Home Depot and they are more personable in service and able to make copies of mail keys that the other place cannot do. I was able to quickly make copies of the keys I needed with the accented bonus if getting my duplicates on metallic colored keys in the shade of green, blue, and fuscia. I also found out they replace car faub batteries so I replaced my Prius faub in a snap. The lady here is so sweet, kind, and helpful. read more

They deleted my working key for my Mercedes while trying to make a copy. And I saw them do the same thing to someone trying to make a copy of their car key for their Nissan Altima. I had to have a family member bring my 2nd key so I can leave, and to make things worse they ignored my calls and messages after asking what they are going to do to fix the issue. Maybe for easy jobs like copying normal keys this place is ok, but more complicated jobs like newer car keys take your business to somewhere a little more professional. read more

After a failed attempt by someone to break into my car I was left with a broken cylinder lock in my driver's side door. At the same time, unrelated to the break-in, the remote control on my key fob had a worn-out rubber keypad. The dealership wanted $582.47 plus tax to replace the door lock and $680.00-plus to order a new key fob. Magdonals fixed both problems for a total of $310.00, saving me a lot of $$.
