Everybody was super nice, and my budtender, Brian, was so very helpful - Very knowledgeable, and very interested in getting me what I was looking for. Knows the terpene profiles to get you the kind of experience you want. Knows the products they have on hand. Great energy too. I laughed when we left and said he was like the Guy Fieri of weed, and if you have anything against Guy Fieri, there's something wrong with you. Go watch Shane Torres' hilarious defense of him on YouTube. Anyway, where I'm from, prices are outrageous. I was very pleased with what I got - on sale too! Idk why this place doesn't have more stars. I've been to dispensaries in CO, LA, CA, IL, AZ, and other ones here in MD, and this seriously might be the best experience I've had. Blew my high! My experience with Ascend was less than stellar. I placed an online order and drove to the dispensary just to be denied service. Upon entering the lobby area, the associate at the front desk was rude and dismissive to the fact that the store should not have been closed at the time. He stated that the shop could not sell after a certain time and the time he stated was inaccurate (Maryland Law states 11:00pm). Moreover, he would not provide his name as to avoid exposure by this review. I am extremely disappointed with his conduct and the inability of the dispensary to effective manage the expectations of it customers. I've personally witnessed the shop close before their posted hours multiple times. Speak to your associates about proper communication and post something on your website regarding correct hours of operation and "cut-off times." read more

I went into ascend tonight, to get my high on. ordered online drove 30 minutes there. I walk inside ready to get my marijuana. when the front desk person asked if i was recreation or medical. I say recreational, assuming he was about to give me the fellow stoner look. but instead tells me we are at capacity and you cant place anymore orders. Now how does that work so i state i already ordered online and paid. but the man said it doesn't matter we are at capacity and cant place anymore orders. He must have been stoned, I tried to argue but he put his foot down. and wouldn't give me the refund on the item i just bought. so yea i understand why this place is at 2.6 stars because this place is like the roach of a blunt, but only 10% thc. read more

In Illinois one dispensary is pretty much like the next all serving the same slop. Bud tenders are merely order takers they confirm my order take my money and bag the merchandise and expect a tip which is hilarious. May as well use vending machines with AI automation ...they'll probably have more personality as well. Go to Michigan folks you can see jars of buds talk to someone about those buds prior to purchasing and enjoy the experience as it was intended. read more

Just read some very negative reviews but I have to say that I've never had a bad experience at Ascend. They are all very friendly and helpful - I've never walked into the dispensary without at least a couple employees saying Hi and offering help. They are efficient - I've never been in the place for more than 15 minutes! I've always gotten exactly what I ordered too. I've been to the dispensary on weekdays, weeknights, weekend days, and weekend nights, and the service has always been great even when they're crowded. I have no complaints. read more

acsend is one of the worse dispensaries in harford county. items that are sold here for $40 I have found at other locations for $25. The selection here is horrible and the customer service is mediocre. It was such a better experience when it was True Wellness. read more

Got great service. King took me through the various options of vape pens and the cartridges. Then he walked me through the options and the ingredients, so I could make an informed choice. i've been coming to this place for a very long time now, and I've always came later on never during the day, but I will not be returning during the day ever again. It was me and three other customers I walk up to the counter and I try to place an order and she tells me that I need to go to the kiosk even though they aren't busy at all. so I go to the kiosk this security guard was very nice and helped me through the whole entire situation. called up to the counter immediately and start my order she's waiting for the items from the back and I get a phone call. She tells me that I need to step out to answer it even though there's only three costumers my two second phone call was not good enough for her. I would recommend shopping with another dispensary over Ascend . The customer service is terrible and you cant make a report to the manager because they have an unprofessional attitude as well and dont want to give you they name to report . They also advertise flower with pictures representing some of the strains but once you actually purchase the strain it looks nothing like the picture . Exchanges and returns are to they discretion when they are actually suppose to do whats rightfully in they power to make the customer happy and that just doesnt seem like theyre goal . read more

Very disappointed that Rise no longer offers Topicals for Recreational. I have RA and also broke a hip. Synergy (cool) Topical was the only thing that relieved my pain. I'll be spending my money elsewhere. read more

I went in last week, for the first time after True Wellness sold to Ascend, what a mistake! Customer service was terrible, as a "first" time customer I was not explained how their store worked. The person at one of the terminals only reached her hand so I could give her my ID and Medical Lic. The inside of their store is not inviting at all, it was super hot in there, and no one asked if I need it help, I had a customer explain how things worked. I did ask one of the workers if they still had their veteran/military discount, but they don't. Keep in mind this is a military town. Their excuse is lower prices, however, other dispensaries offer specials and discounts that are compatible with their "lower" prices. Overall super disappointing experience, selection is limited, no more friendly service. Sad to see that once a great dispensary is no longer great. Find another dispensary, Ascend is riding on True Wellness's success once had, don't be fooled. read more

I would reccomend taking your business elsewhere. True Wellness was an amazing dispensary, and Ascend bought it and turned it to an uncaring, money hungry, big business. That's what happens when the small companies are bought out by large corps. They only care about preparing for recreational sales and have forgotten that this all started out medicinal. If all they care about is recreational I will be taking my business somewhere still small and local. Don't be fooled by the prices, they aren't worth it. read more

i ordered a rythm vape online and they had a picture of the rythm vape and the name and when I get there they gave me a shine vape and told me it's the same thing and I can't get a refund. there are definitely the same thing one is a rythm and one is a shine. then they told me basically there's nothing they can do and i couldn't even see what I was paying for it was in a bag. worse dispensary I've been too I only went there spec for the rythm vape I will never go back there ever again. if anyone reads this be careful what you buy there and look at what you get before you pay. read more
