Terrible. My girlfriend was involved in a car accident, ambulance drove her here. Some employees are rude and unprofessional, apologies to the good staff. Blonde hair nurse in the children's emergency room ward, rude. Head Nurse Cathie, unprofessional and forgot her fiduciary responsibility. We waited 3 days for my girlfriend's prescription to be sent to CVS, they never sent it. I was on the phone with the hospital 3 straight days, nurse cathie said to contact her PCP (my girlfriend does not have one). How do you give someone discharge papers with a prescription and fail to call it in. My girlfriend was in pain, and I hope she does not catch an infection on her knee. "Just a sprain" they said.

If I could give this place a half a star I would. I dislike this location but unfortunately the ambulance had to take me here. I LOVE Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village. I arrived at 11 AM I'm currently writing this review while in the emergency room. I waited 55 minutes to get pain meds while having excruciating pain from a kidney stone. The first dose didn't work. I was still crying and moaning from the pain. Finally 30 minutes after the first dose I was able to get some type of pain relief. The paramedics were very much nicer and more concerned with me than the staff at the front desk where you check in at. Jackie is my nurse and she is wonderful. BTW- I didn't get the CT till 1:13 PM. When finding out whoever gave me my hospital gown that had something that looked like dried up feces my daughter immediately when to the nearest nurse. Her name was Jennifer. She had red hair. No apology was given. She instructed my daughter to put it in the soil linen basket and passed her a blanket. Most of the staff here should focus on the patients and their needs. Help patients feel better. The same nurse, Jennifer had to come in and give me more meds at 2:30 PM and was irritated when I asked what she was giving me and how much she was giving me. Anyway it's 3:09 PM and I'm still waiting to hear from the Dr. If this were the Elk Grove location, I would have been in and out and have been properly told my results from the CT from a Dr than have Jennifer, the nurse who isn't my nurse, tell me she's sorry for not knowing more info but this blue pill is for kidney stones.

My beautiful baby. X)

Went there recently for a day surgery procedure. All staff were really friendly (nurses, security, cafeteria stall, doctors...).

Wait times and lines are horrible. They tell you to come early but then you wait for an hour for anything you need.

The ER nurses rushed me to the Maternity & Infant ward, where nurses rushed me to a room to get hooked up by the time the on-call OB came in.

They never answer the phone and are always some how under staffed . DO NOT GIVE THIS OFFICE A CHANCE!!! They comment on reviews but can't fix mistakes . Receptionist always have attitude and the doctor is always running behind. They seem to over book appointments ALL THE TIME . Save the comment apologizing and just be a better office and hospital or simply just shut down . I am a new patient, have been for only 3 days. What this facility and Jessica the RN made me go…read morethrough was honestly horrible and unethical. I made my appointment weeks ago. I gave them my new insurance and I filled out all the paperwork given to me. They knew I was a new patient. Weeks later I am on my way to my appointment to get my birth control shot, (which they already knew about) and literally 15 mins prior to the apt, the receptionist calls and asks me, did I have my previous doctor send over my records? I explained to her no because you guys never said that you needed them. She said well we just noticed it right now and I'm sorry but if we don't have your records, we need to reschedule your appointment or we have to do blood work today and then tomorrow you can come in and we can give you your birth control shot. I said well my timeframe to get the shot will expire soon and it'll take at least a week to get my records so I can't reschedule this appointment. She said you can see if they can fax it over to us and I explained to her that they won't do that bc I have to fill out a patient release form. The receptionist works at a doctor facility. She should know how long it takes in the process to release patient records to them, which I didn't understand that she didn't know. I asked her how come you guys can't do a urine test to see if I'm pregnant or not, because that's what other doctors do, plus they only do that if you are out of your 3 month window to get the shot and you let it expire. They have to make sure I'm not pregnant so they can give me the shot, which I understand. Receptionist then spoke with Jessica, the RN and Jessica told her that if I was four weeks pregnant, they wouldn't be able to detect that on a urine test. So I said, so you're leaving me no choice let's do the blood work then bc I can't reschedule. I did explain how ridiculous this was and they should've known this weeks ago when I made my appointment and should've asked me then to get them the paperwork from my previous doctor. Then I went in and the receptionist said if I have any questions I can ask Jessica. Well, I never saw Jessica. Some other girl took me to the lab to get the blood test done after that I came in the next day to get the birth control shot. I finally saw Jessica the RN. Jessica had asked me how long I have been on this birth control for. I told her on and off for years since I was 18 years old and I am 43 now. she then asked me if I knew the risks of taking it. I said of course because I've been on it for years. She then tried to convince me to take a break from it. I told her no I did not want to take a break from it, I've tried other birth control, actually every other birth control out there, and none of them work or I have had really bad complications. I told her this was the only birth control that is successful for me. She then recommended I take a break however she gave me the shot and had me set my appointment for 3 months later to get the next one. I then asked her for refills because this was my last one from my previous doctor. She said that they cannot give me multiple refills that they will give me one refill a week before my appointment in April. I asked her why and I said other doctors don't do it that way and she said this was their policy, and I said well that's not state policy so then I asked her do I have to call you guys for the one refill or will it automatically be refilled? She said automatically. I told her so far they have made my new patient experience at that point very difficult and miserable. Then an hour later I receive a phone call from Jessica. She called me and said that they will no longer give me my next shot of birth control. I asked her why, and she said it's because of the risks because you've been on it and we recommend you taking a break. I asked her are you recommending it like you did earlier or are you telling me that you will no longer give me my shot. she said both I told her again. This is the only birth control that works for me and then I asked her are you going pay for my child if I get pregnant again I told her I cannot have any more kids. I already have two and I'm 43 years old. Her comment was oh but you can have more kids. And I said no, I cannot. she didn't tell me how long to take a break for, she didn't refer me to somebody else that I can go and get the birth control from. I told her she wasn't even a doctor to be able to tell me to stop taking birth control so I wanted a doctor to call me. She told me that Nadine would call me today and I happen to call the office because I want to see how to get my records from them now so I can go somewhere else and the office is closed today. so Jessica lied to me and the doctor won't be calling me today because they're closed. I no longer want to be a patient at this facility. I would never recommend this place!

I've had two visits at Women's HealthFirst with Dr. Papa Win DeLaCruz, and while the clinical care…read moreitself appears competent, the bedside manner has been consistently disappointing and concerning. I want to start by recognizing that the ultrasound technician and nurse practitioner were excellent--kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable and cared for. The front desk staff was also helpful and respectful. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. DeLaCruz was the complete opposite--and it was consistent across both visits. During both appointments, she came across as rushed, dismissive, and lacking empathy. She frequently spoke very quickly, interrupted questions before they were finished, and gave the impression that she did not have the time or patience to engage in a thoughtful conversation. Asking questions--especially about my own care--felt discouraged rather than welcomed. I honestly felt like she was annoyed by my questions and that I was being made to feel stupid for asking them. There were multiple moments that felt condescending. For example, when I asked about ultrasound options for future visits, her response and tone felt dismissive, as if I shouldn't be asking. When I asked for clarification about my condition, she made comments implying I didn't understand or hadn't studied it enough, rather than taking the opportunity to explain in a supportive way. At one point, she said she would "show me again" because I "still didn't have a grasp." When she showed me a visual and handed me a printout of the condition, she essentially said, "read it so you're educated," and the tone felt belittling. When my husband asked reasonable questions--such as whether this condition is "normal" (meaning common) and whether anything could have been done earlier--she corrected his wording on a technicality, saying, "Of course it's not normal, but I see a lot of it." Her responses felt curt and dismissive. She also said, "I've only been her doctor for three months; she didn't tell me she had it," which made me feel like I had done something wrong. I genuinely wasn't aware of this condition because I didn't have any symptoms--so I wouldn't have known to bring it up. While I'm grateful that she identified it now, her bedside manner and choice of words lacked empathy and care. As a patient, I was made to feel small and uncomfortable--more like an appointment she was trying to quickly finish than a person. This was not just my perception; my husband independently expressed concern afterward and strongly encouraged me to switch doctors based on how I was treated. When our session ended, I'm not sure if it was intentional or an issue with the door, but it slammed loudly on her way out. The same thing happened when she came back in and out to give me a printout. I fully understand that physicians are busy and deal with complex cases, but bedside manner matters. Patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and supported--especially when discussing their own bodies and medical decisions. The tone, facial expressions, and overall demeanor during both visits made me feel uncomfortable, rushed, and at times talked down to. It wasn't a good experience overall, and in a sensitive medical setting, comfort and trust matter. Additionally, there was confusion regarding follow-up scheduling. While I was told one timeline during the visit, the front desk later confirmed a different one after checking with the doctor. There was also an assumption made about which provider I should see next, rather than involving me in that decision and getting my input. I gave this provider two opportunities, hoping the first experience was just an off day--but the second visit confirmed a pattern. I still value the clinic overall and appreciate the care from other staff members, but I will need to consider whether I return. If I do, I will request a different provider moving forward. I believe every patient deserves not only competent medical care, but also empathy, patience, and respectful communication.

At the time I didn't know this was inappropriate behavior for a doctor, now I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

First of all- they have write a review blocked on Google. I cannot figure out how to write a review…read morebut I want to warn people because I was impressed by the high google reviews which is why I went there and had a terrible experience. 1. Dr Griggs makes "jokes" at inappropriate times. She also will NOT let you have an elective C-Section. She also encourages you to try natural even if the baby is measuring too big to fit. Then after all of the stress, hours upon hours of labor, and hours of pushing-you end up in an emergency C-section anyway. She would barely talk about a birth plan prior to this either. When asking about pain management she said that's not up to her. She is over loaded with patients causing her not to care about you. I also want to mention she DOES not care about your anxiety or depression, she has a "deal with it" attitude. I also had a severe iron deficiency and after being told to take supplements and still had it was told to "double up" which i did and still was anemic, but made me tough it out. I found out later from my primary doctor I could have done an iron infusion and been saved from some misery. She also acted clueless about my post partum questions. I asked about tingling in my feet post C section and she said no one has every asked her that. I asked my primary and he said it is somewhat common after a c section or epidural and will usually subside. She isnt going to take the time to research on your behalf - just deal with it and hope it goes away. Also told her for 12 weeks post partum I had discharge, she said it wasn't dangerous. I came back a couple months later same issue and the nurse practitioner tested me and I had BV. Dr. Griggs did not even bother to check for infection. 2. Dr. Das was just bad in general. She has the least amount of appointments because people dread seeing her. She dismisses your issues and says "it's a short time in your life." I beg to differ, it is almost a year, that is not short and I deserved options. And just a warning- she will prescribe ONLY ibuprofen for a C-section which is a major abdominal surgery. I can buy that at Walgreens. I had better pain management from a doctor for a tooth pulled. She also did not acknowledge my extreme swelling in the hospital, cleared me to to home WITHOUT AN EXAM OF ANY SORT and I ended up with congestion heart failure. She in fact argued the swelling was normal when it was not, without even looking at my swelling. 3. This practice is on a rotation so it's very impersonal for something so personal and delicate like pregnancy. It's stressful not knowing who will be with you during child birth and if you are going to get one of the "bad ones" or not. My example of Dr. Das is just that. I had the one I dreaded seeing the most for my follow up care. I already knew she didn't care about my pain and went on to give ibuprofen proving it. If you try to complain they shut you down. Terrible experience all around and I have tried numerous times to leave a google review but it is blocked. There is more to the experience but I feel I have explained enough to give a proper warning.

I went in to the hospital almost a week overdue. My doctor was unreachable (whole other bogus story) I went in to see if they could break my water or something to get me going I was only 2 cm dialated. The nurse came back and said the doctor said I needed to go to my own OB. I told her I had been trying to chase mine down for 3 days.. needless to say I went home with no help. I walked back in almost a week later still nothing except Braxton hicks but they don't mean anything really. This time I was admitted right away. Dr. Gladdin was the OB on call that day when I walked in around 2. Right off the bat he was awful. I told him I wanted them to do something to get my labor going but I wanted to be as natural as I could just like with my first. He straight up said c section. I said no. My daughter was still perfect no complications other than her timeliness issue.... We went back and fourth debating each time he got more and more bully like. He said if I had come in a few days earlier he could have helped me more. Turns out he's the doctor who let me go home when I initially asked for help!! I signed paperwork to leave and go to a different hospital that was only a couple minutes from where I was. A nurse talked me into staying and said she got off at 7 and would make sure I didn't have a c section unless it was an emergency until she got off. I stayed. Everything was going well I mostly stood because it helped my back labor. I had pitocin and occasionally you could tell the baby was affected by it so I would change positions or walk and baby would be fine. I got to a little more than 8cm at 7pm. The nurse who had been with me was getting ready to leave. She got the squat bar out so I could stay off my back and move around I was almost to the finish line. As soon as she left I was ordered to get into bed. It made my back feel like it was going through a garbage compactor and my baby didn't do well with me on my back. So I stayed in bed but got off my back and squatted in the bed. Well little did I know that when I got put on my back and it affected baby Dr. Stephen Gladdin shut off my pitocin immediately. A little while later he came in and told me that I had to have a c section. I said no that I was almost there and baby was fine now that I was off my back. And he says well it's too late I shut off your pitocin 20 mins ago and so there was nothing else to do now. I told him I wanted to try anything. Then I was told that I wasn't really 8cm I was only barely 6cm. I told him I didn't want a c section and that I knew I was close because I could feel the contractions almost in my thighs now and the nurse before she left could press on my belly and feel baby's head when she did a check He started literally screaming, yes screamibg, at me inches from my face with a room full of nurses and my mom and my sister in the room too, screaming that I'm a baby killer!!! He's doing this while I'm having a contraction!! My sister asks him to please step out surprisingly very politely and he got mad at her for "ordering him" and she asked again and said just 2 minutes. Well he didn't leave he called security on her..... security came and left. Did nothing with my sister. Everyone could hear him screaming at me even the nurses at the desk. Needless to say I ended up with a c section. I strongly believe it was because it's what he wanted because he wanted to do what was best for him and not for me. I was forced into it. In the end he was banned from my room for my entire hospital stay. I had high up staff coming into my room asking me for statements and giving me business cards. They had to call an OB who was very nice from a different floor to oversee the rest of my care. Dr. Gladdin also used staples instead of stitches and glue. I'm around 110 pounds and 5'6 so it's not like I'm a big girl. The doctor who overtook my care even told me that it was very odd he used staples. I asked my new doctor on discharge day if he could take them out before I left. He said he would be happy to but he had to get an okay by Dr. Gladdin since he put them in. I said okay. The doctor came came back and said Dr. Gladdin said no that I had to wait 2 weeks! This doctor I had now told me he couldn't do it but I also shouldn't wait 2 weeks if it were him because I could end up with track mark scarring. He apologized and said he wish he could. I didn't wait the 2 weeks but I have a much thicker scar than other girls about my size who had c sections a couple days and weeks after me. I would share more terrible things and details but this is a lot!
