One of the reasons we chose the Somfy Zigbee platform was its flexibility. All of our shades communicate through a single TaHoma hub located in our network closet, so there are no multiple hubs scattered throughout the house. We can easily control every shade from the Somfy TaHoma app, and because the platform integrates well with other smart home systems, our third-party Control4 installer was able to seamlessly incorporate the shades into our home automation system. We can now operate them from our Control4 keypads, as well as with Alexa voice commands. The automation has been a true game changer. Every morning we can open all of the shades with a single command, close them all at night just as easily, or adjust individual shades throughout the day to reduce glare while still letting in natural light.
