Shocked by the way I was treated in store by a customer service assistant. I paid for my shopping…read moreat the self service and thought it was a bit expensive so on checking my receipt discovered I had been charged for a jogging suit at £16 which I did not buy. Before leaving the till area I pointed this out to the girls on duty and was told to go to customer service for a refund. Walked straight over which must have taken about 3 minutes. Customer service assistant said that's strange but left and went to speak to someone else. After waiting for about 5 minutes I went over to her and she was with security going through the cameras!! I asked why and was told she was just doing her job. If she had checked the time on my receipt she would have known I didn't have time to leave the store and come back in. Or if she spoke to the girls at the self service are she would have known I pointed out the mistake to them before leaving the area. After a while she said come over and I will refund your money, didn't say a word to me and I asked if she knew what happened and she said NO!! I said it would be nice to get an apology for being treated like a shop lifter and again I was told she was just doing her job!! On getting home a friend said check your receipt against your shopping and it turns out the roast beef slices I bought came up as a jogging suit. So if customer service assistant had checked my shopping she would have seen what happened, a mix up with bar codes. So I was treated badly due to a Tesco error. Customer service is appalling.

There's a chippie in the same row so you don't need to buy your juice etc from there, Tesco would be cheaper. It's open from 7am to 10pm 7 days. I like to collect Tesco points so it's great that I can get these here as well. The staff are friendly and helpful, parking spaces are plentiful and although it is a smaller shop, there is still a great selection of essentials to be had. Worth a visit if you are local.

First huge improvement was a mezzanine floor offering up more space for clothing Then they decided to move more things around, new cafe and other branded stirs within the main building, opticians, travel agents etc The new lay out is a little more open and inviting around the fruit and veg. I love the self scanning system, gives you exactly how much you are spending, prompting you that the item you bough has a deal, then saving time going through checkouts! No more "unexpected item in the bagging area" I only wish I lived closer to this store

It's big enough to offer a lot of variety, with a good range of toiletries and as always, good promotions. They also have a really good upstairs with clothing and electrical goods where I picked up a cheap blender that has made my kitchen look a bit more elegant. There's also a cafe upstairs which is actually quite decent, well priced, and saved my life when I went last week because I somehow forgot to eat dinner and found myself feeling faint walking around the shop for half an hour. Open 24 hours as well.

I find this to be a particularly nice branch of Morrisons. It has a petrol station which I have used several times and been impressed with. I find Morrisons petrol prices to be very competitive. The store has a large car park at the front and cash machines at the main entrance. Morrisons stores are laid out like old fashioned markets which is something I personally like and when you enter you will find fresh fruit and veg on display, some of which is on a mock barrell to give the feeling of these markets. The store has an excellent selection of groceries on offer and there are Butchers, Fishmongers and Pie departments, as well as the bakery. Morrisons has a fairly decent non-food section offering homewares, kitchenware, CDs, DVDs and games. Lastly this Morrisons has a great cafe which I have used several times and rate highly. I like the fact you order your hot food at Morrisons and they then cook it for you - there's nothing on offer here that has been sitting on a hotplate for too long drying out! This is an excellent supermarket in East Kilbride.

They stock the daily essentials from bread, milk, some fruite, cereal and biscuits etc. The store has good opening times and access into the store is by automatic doors making it both wheelchair and puschair friendly. The staff were helpful and I did not have to queue for very long. They accept the clubcard so you can get points which can be saved up and exchanged either to pay for your shopping or spent on clubcard deals.

Loads of checkouts, including self service ones with a really good meat counter and bags of choice on products that make wish I came here more often than the local ones where choice is limited. They also have good produce and loads of room to move around unlike some of your big Tescos or the wee Morrisons in Patrick if you're going for a trolleys worth. Maybe not the best idea in Sainsbury's though, as some of the stuff is pretty expensive. I do love their chicken though. I have to say.. NOT open 24 hours.

A huge space that includes a large clothes section, an excellent selection of homewares (don't even get me started on my love for their amazing bakeware section), a good range of electrical items, stationery and cards, sports equipment and seasonal ranges. There is also a cafe on site and a petrol station. All of this is great, but you might be worried this would encroach on the main business of a supermarket, selling food! Thankfully this store is big enough that there's still plenty of space for this. There is a great selection of quality fresh food, including dairy, fruit, vegetables, baked goods and meat as well as all the staples you would expect. My only criticisms of this Sainsburys are the limited choice in the red wine and beer sections and the occasional tendency to be understocked on certain items or to take a while to restock. Even with this in mind this is still my supermarket of choice.
