The first experience was pretty smooth because of my mother- law's mellow personality. She had Parkinson's which was a difficult disease to deal with physically. The caregivers were kind and respectful to her. We also trusted them in our home. More recently, my mother has gone through some quick changes with her mental capabilities after a serious operation. Physically, she does well and is very independent. Caring Connection has been extremely flexible with us scheduling hours and re arranging their caregivers to my mother's pickiness. She has been very difficult in not wanting to lose her independence. These kind people have visited my mom in a Sr. Community where she is in Independent Living. They are helping to keep her there. Wella, Barb, Jonathan, and Susan (social worker) have all been wonderful with giving my family guidance as we deal with this difficult situation. We tried other services in the past and none of them were as knowledgeable, flexible and most importantly caring to each individual needing the care. I highly recommend the Caring Connection. HH

PT is a bit boring at first, but as my knee improved, I was given more difficult exercises. I'd told them that my goal was to run again. They helped me get there! SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE and expertise and PATIENCE! I won't even single any one of them out because they were ALL EXPERTS AT WHAT THEY DO. I am so pleased that I went there. So lucky to have had such a GREAT EXPERIENCE for my first exposure to Physical Therapy!

Everyone was VERY nice and really good at their jobs. My dad had a recent stay in Moravian Village after an accident. This was a pretty good way to do an apples to apples comparison. The staff at Moravian has a really high turnover, they seem understaffed, and unhappy at their jobs. Supervisory staff are very unprofessional. Cedarbrook seems to have almost all people who will spend their career at the facility, have plenty of staff, even on weekends, and everyone seems legitimately happy at their job. The rehab staff, OT and PT, at Moravian were not terrible, but they did not tailor anything to my dad's needs. They seemed to be just going through the motions. Cedarbrook was just the opposite, the staff really wanted to zero in on what would help my dad to get back home and be successful. We both came away very impressed with everything at Cedarbrook. I know this sounds like an ad, but this place really is that much better than others in the area.

After touring numerous facilities we begged for admittance at country meadows. The biggest plus there is that they are well staffed and my dad would have the proper care that was necessary, the patient to staff ratio was one of the highest I saw and this makes a big difference in the care you would receive. (previously, prior to the amputation he was at New Eastwood in Easton where he'd press a call button and over an hour and a half later would soil himself because nobody responded, so staffing number's definitely count)..... Throughout the whole stay at Country Meadows the staff all cared for my father very well, he liked some of the food and some he did not. Although he got a bed ulcer, he previously had the start of it at the hospital so CM was definitely not to blame. Their showers are clean and easy accessible and they have the staff to bathe residents twice a week. They even have a salon to get your hair washed in the interim. Everyone there was accommodating to his needs and would recommend them to anyone looking for short term rehabilitation or even long term care. I felt that my dad was safe there every time I left from a visit.

Make sure you have them explain the billing codes each visit to make sure it matches the treatment delivered.

My mother in law recently passed away at age 95. She was a resident of Country Meadows independent…read moreliving for a year and assisted living (building 2) for a few weeks. She went on Hospice and passed quickly- we all miss her very much. The staff and administrators at Country Meadows couldn't have been nicer and more compassionate. The aides and nursing management were so professional, handling my mother-in-laws personal needs with dignity. Before she became ill, she liked the CM activities and trips out in a van arranged by independent living. She enjoyed religious services and her table-mates and the food. True compassion was shown by the staff who made personal visits to our family upon her passing.
