We waiting months for parts to repair our gate. We had a quote and had placed a downpayment for the service as well. After weeks of waiting the company called to cancel the job and refund our payment. Apparently this business is changing hands and they are cancelling existing jobs... I'm not certain as to why this is happening. 2 stars because I am glad they communicated why they are cancelling the job- but we waited months for assistance and for "parts to come in". At the end of the day we are back at square one. read more

I have been living a small hell after Asheville Fence installed fencing and an electric gate. The design of the gate was horrible and the arm broke after 6 months. Sure, they would replace the same arm for $700. It didn't matter how many times I told them that the electric arm was the problem. The gate was way too wide for the arm they installed. It's been nothing less than a nightmare dealing with a broken gate. It's so heavy that with the smallest wind, it slams into the stone driveway and breaks off the bottom part of the wood pickets. It's an eyesore and an embarrassment. They were not understanding of the situation. They simply didn't care. If I didn't want to pay $700 for the same are, that was my problem. What I have to show for a price tag of $15,000 makes me see RED. They also ruined a large part of my stone driveway with their mess. The clean up was lazy. They couldn't even manage to put a proper bolt on a small exit gate. Their only interest was finishing the job so they could move on to the next one. Do not hire this company. read more

we had someone come out to give us an estimate. we paid the deposit of half the total cost two days after the quote (9/7/23) I have called several times and emailed to find out if we will be put on the schedule anytime soon, and all I hear is "we're booked out eight weeks" or "our scheduling girl is out today" here we are 6 weeks later with no answers! if you actually want any work done, I recommend avoiding this "company". read more

Horrific customer service. We scheduled an initial visit with them to come and assess what we needed. They indicated that would be there. We called back a few days later and they said we weren't on the schedule. Then, we were told we were back on the schedule for 8/20. So, today, 8/19, they call and say no one can come. We traveled 3 hours to meet them and now they cancel. They came highly recommended. I highly un-recommend them. Very UNprofessional!!!!!!! read more

I had an excellent experience with Asheville Fence from beginning to end. I got polite and helpful information from my first phone call. The man who came to look at my old fence came when promised and then sent a clear contract and cost statement. The workers who did the repair were hardworking and competent. When I asked them to move their truck and some equipment so that I could get out of my small street, they moved everything quickly and cheerfully. I got a call soon after the work to check on my satisfaction. The finished repaired fence looks great. read more

Terrible experience. We recently worked on a project with Asheville Fence and nearly every aspect of the project got messed up: Timeline Our project was to have started the end of May and only began nearly 1.5 months later. We even paid according to their suggested timeline in order to secure the May start date and it still didn't happen. This vendor is terribly untimely. Horrible Management Greats sales...then they stop responding and are even rude. After the sales pitch-that was great and they were easy to work with in that area-they completely dropped the ball. It's was like a bait and switch. When we complained, it was escalated to management/ the owner. She brought her husband into the mix and he actually yelled at us! Orchestration of Project The fence itself is nice and their INSTALLATION teams are very nice. HOWEVER, after they installed the actual fence, the gate-part of the same original order, project, and fence-was not installed. So now months late and half a project complete, there is no gate. They tried to put up one they said was ours but when I showed them images of what we ordered and what they were installing, they saw that they were very different. Further, they said it would take 6 weeks for it to be ordered (as it wasn't ordered in the original-same contract-project), made, and installed. Overall, now that the project is complete, we are are pleased with the fence and gate. However, I would recommend NOT working with this company if you can avoided it. There are other companies it there who could do a great job and make the experience far better, adhere to the timeline, and NOT yell at you. You've been warned. read more
