I made an appointment with Earleen in the summer of 2013 for eyebrow tattooing. I'm very fair complicated, with light colored, thin, eyebrows. In 2010, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After chemotherapy and multiple surgeries my eyebrows were practically nonexistent. I researched and asked around about tattooing. One name kept coming up, Earleen, at Asheville Permanent Makeup. I figured if I was going to have a permanent tattoo ON MY FACE, I wanted someone who knew what they were doing! When you meet Earleen, you feel like you've known her for a long time. 14 years ago--I went through one of the most terrifying times in my life when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After surgery I was determined to make myself look and feel whole again. That's when I met Earleen who used her skill to tattoo my areolas and nipples (yes--three-D!). They look amazing! My doctor who has seen lots of reconstruction and tattoos--and has said many times this is the best she has ever seen! Fast forward to 10 years later and little did I know that Earleen and I would cross paths again. Yes--my cancer returned and his time chemo took my eyebrows too. There was no one I trusted more than Earleen who once again used her magic and gave me a beautiful set of eyebrows and eye liner (which gave me more definition since my eye lashes were all but gone too!). What a wonderful difference a great eyebrow makes!! Not only is Earleen very competent and knowledgeable in her field she will also tell you all the pros and cons about a procedure. The surroundings of both of her offices are immaculate and inviting and she makes sure that you are comfortable before , during and after the procedure. Asheville Permanent Makeup is one of the best things that ever happened to me. My eyebrows were so sparse at the age of 58 and I was terrible at drawing them with an eyebrow pencil. To say that I should have done this years ago is an understatement. When I entered Earleens studio, it was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. I felt very welcomed and immediately at home. I first signed up for my eyebrows. Being a 60 year old female they started to thin out and no matter how often I applied makeup they never looked right. I first had my brows and eyeliner done when I lived in Raleigh. It was apparent that improvements could be achieved over time, so when I moved to Asheville years later I found Earleen and let me say that there was a world of difference in the results. My eyeliner and brows look great, even 3 years after the procedure. I've been careful to keep sunscreen on my brows. It's cool that my dental hygenist complimented me on my brows - not realizing they were "enhanced". My 'natural brows' pretty much don't exist -- there are very few bits of hair there and the shape is well - less than ideal. So, imagine how happy I am to see the new me in the mirror every day! It was perhaps five or six years ago that a friend with Parkinson's told me that she had great difficulty applying makeup because of her tremors and she had Earleen do her brows and eyeliner. I wanted to do a post tattoo follow-up. I had my eyebrows and eyeliner done in April 2018 when she still had a Dillsboro salon. I have been so pleased!
