absolutely not would I recommend this practice to anyone. Whenever I call there to request a refill on medication or something I need to talk to them about, they never ever call me back. One time I had to call there four times to reach somebody. I am now trying to reach her for a refill on my medication. The receptionists are nice, but that is far as it goes. They say, I will send a note back to the nurse yada yada yada. You can send all the notes back to the nurse and they still do not call me. That is a very unprofessional way to treat a patient. I know they are busy with other patients, but surely there is 10 minutes out of the nurse's schedule where she could just call me back. read more

I don't understand the previous reviews? My appointment was flawless. First, I received text/email notifications prior. The ladies at the reception desk were sweet,fun, patient, and made me feel comfortable. The caring nurse was kind, talkative, and smart. The nurse helping me w/the breathing machine/tests was excellent. Very professional & knowledgeable. So pleasant. Final, my doctor (Fertel), was wonderful!! He reviewed results, smartly & easily discussed results & listened to me with a great and open dialog. Made sure I knew he was available for me as needed. The location is easy to find. Lots of parking. Clean and open sitting area...wonderful!!! So, conclusion: highly recommend the facility & its quality staff. This was my first time visit. Don't expect to return. But was very happy with visit & results. Kudos to all! read more

I give this rating because the office is the most poorly run doctor's office I have ever dealt with. Appointments are mistakenly canceled, there is no communication between the staff. I can't get a call returned to save my life. And this is a place that is dealing with cancer patients. Cancer patients are already worried, so to have a doctor's office mistakenly cancel appointments that you must have before getting the cancer removed is just unconscionable. I would not recommend this office to anyone. It doesn't matter if the doctor is a nice guy and knows his business if you can't get anything done. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Davidson as he has great reviews. I took in disks of two CT scans of my lungs a little over two weeks prior to my appointment. I was told to be there at 1 pm to fill out paperwork and for breathing tests. I was a little early, so I went in, and they took me right back. I questioned why they were taking my weight as I thought they had stopped that, and I told him what my weight from that morning. We got into the room, and I asked about the breathing test to which he stated that it was cancelled. So, now I am wondering why I had to be there so early. We sat in the room for 40 minutes. Then the doctor stuck his head in saying they are working on the images. What? You have had the disks for over two weeks! Some lady comes in looking for the doctor and then we tell her what he said to us. I told her I am mad for being here so long. Turns out my appointment was not until 2 pm. I left as I was not about to sit there any longer to wait for them to get the images to work and for my appointment time to come around and the doctor to decide to come into the room. I gave this rating because every time I go there the receptionists and nurses are so helpful and friendly. Dr. Brown takes time to listen to me and answer any concerns or questions I have. While my doctor is great, yet overwhelmed, what makes this a 1 star rating is the staff and nurses. They are rude, act entitled, cut you off in mid sentence and generally horrible to deal with .... ALWAYS. This company, which in reality it is, would be wise to fire the existing office manager and find one that can teach these terrible people some compassion and open mindedness. They're all making good salaries, with a good benefit package as well I'm sure, yet they treat their clients, those responsible for their jobs, like second class citizens. I have no choice right now but to use them, but am really at the point where because of their negativity and rudeness, may start looking elsewhere. There is just no reason for their rudeness and negativity and if enough leave and people begin to be laid off, maybe they'll start to get it. read more

It is my feeling that Asheville Pulmonary deserves a high rating. 4 or 5 makes no difference. My doctor has been absolutely wonderful for me and with me. The staff has never been anything other than cordial and helpful. I have been going to this practice long enough to know whether they are anything less than that. I realize you cannot please everyone all the time, but for a person with serious pulmonary issues, this practice has been wonderful to and for me. read more

I had the same experience as VS trying to make an appointment, and I went in person with a printed referral since their scheduler Kim didn't return my calls. Though I've been in intense pain and had difficulty breathing for over 7 weeks, I was told that the earliest they could see me MIGHT be in June, and that my problem was not as serious as "something like a chest mass." While I understand that there are other patients with more severe conditions, they need to hire more physicians if they aren't able to see patients who need help and are willing to pay for it. I called East TN Pulmonary Associates, and they were courteous and are able to schedule an appointment in a few weeks rather than MAYBE a few months. read more

I have been extremely disappointed with the professionalism of this office. In my opinion if you are looking for an organized pulmonology practice I suggest you drive the extra miles and go elsewhere. Every time I call I am put on hold, disconnected or connected to people who can not give me answers to very simple questions such as, "What is the purpose for this extra office visit scheduled with just the nurse as a "check-in?" Or what are my test results? Getting a simple answer to very easy, simple questions has routinely taken me 3 days to a full week's time of daily phone calls to the practice. I will not be returning to Asheville Pulmonary in the future. read more

I was originally scheduled by Mission Hospital for an early Monday morning appointment, lass than 2 weeks away. This was impractical for me as I had a 90 minute commute from Franklin. I called and was given a noon appointment for the Friday of the same week. Upon arrival, I was seen in a reasonable amount of time, filled out the always required paperwork, and taken back for several breathing tests (Lung functions?). As soon as the tests were done, I met with a Dr. Campbell. He went over the results of my tests, along with providing a detailed explanation of an earlier CT scan. He was very thorough and answered all my questions and concerns. All in all, I was in the car and on my way home in just over one hour. Incidentally, a week later, I had another question, called it in to a nurse, and Dr. Campbell called me the next day with an answer. I can't speak for other people's complaints, but this patient is very satisfied with the treatment received. read more
