Being a first-time owner, I naturally freaked out beyond belief but the extremely calm and professional staff put me at ease. Their level of care is superb - they really look after the pets AND the owners, which is very important. We are pedigree kitten and puppy breeders and have been using this particular vet for many years and have always found that Paul explains what is wrong with your animal in a down to earth way and offers several options for care. He doesn't believe in expensive unnecessary tests but of course will offer them if he believes they're needed. His vet nurse Monica is always helpful on the phone or in person. Initially Paul can seem a bit eccentric, but after getting to know him and visa versa he a warm and generous person. Being a breeder of pedigree kittens and puppies we need to have a great vet and Paul definitely fits the bill. THE BELOW IS NOT SO MUCH REVIEW BUT SOME INFO ON HIS CARING NATURE. We had used Paul for a few years but lost track of him when he closed and moved his practice from a nearby suburb. Luckily we came across him again a couple of years later when frantically trying to find a vet open on a Sunday, we had an extremely sickly 2 week old puppy. Even though he wasn't actually open he was there checking on the animals and amazingly answered the phone. Paul got us to come to the surgery straight away so he could attend to the sick puppy and he literally saved the puppies life, and he wasn't even supposed to be working.

Here, however, I felt that the vet in charge, a nice man named Paul, really does care for each animal. He didn't try to get us to buy anything expensive but rather told us what was available and the cheaper brands he thought worked well. My cousin who also has a dog lives in Indooroopilly has made this her go to vet because she loves the attention. The office is not at all flashy and the consultation room is simplistic so you might not think much of it but the service is impeccable. When compared to other vets out there this one is quite affordable. The flea shot for our dog cost around $30 less than another vet we had originally gone to. What's also great about this place is that you can call Paul and he'll answer your questions (with patience) and give advice. He also follows up to make sure everything is fine, which is great for any doubts or uncertainties you may have. I think this is a great place that really looks out for your pets.

I couldn't afford to take my pregnant dog to the vet for delivery of thr pups, nor did I want to, but the vet I saw at the check-up was excellent and gave me reams of printed material about what to expect and how it all should go. It all went really well, thankfully, but it was comforting to know that the WMVH was only a call away.

This morning's appointment for their annual injections cost us $392.60. I understand the vaccinations are expensive but they charged us $144.00 for the 15min consultation - $72.00 per dog. The staff are nice - even though I have never seen the same staff member twice, but their prices are a rip off. We will take our business elsewhere.

All the staff at Clayfield Vet are friendly, helpful and explain things in a clear manner. They all have a wonderful bedside manner and can even manage to control my 'big boy' who does not liked being held or patted. They give you options based on a case by case basis. They will often consult each other and/or other medical professionals on cases which I think is wonderful because you can get more information and better service this way. This is a family run business and they treat every one of their patients and their humans with dignity and respect. They will often do follow up calls in a few days to see how your pet is progressing after they leave the surgery. Boss, the resident cat is really cute (and cheeky) too and loves to be petted and have a game with you. If you do not want Boss near you or your pet, you just have to let the nurses know and they will move him to another room instantly. I cannot praise Clayfield Vet highly enough.

The vets will intervene if he ruffles anyone's feathers. There are four vets there who you can see, all of them have at least 10 years experience. You're onto the goods with these guys. I've only ever had an appointment with Dr Gray, and I'm happy to report that she gives down to earth, common sense advice. She's not going to suggest you spend more money than you have to on superfluous items for your pet if you don't need them. Her bed side manner with pets is second to none. She's relaxed, and she knows how to get things done. She won't waste your time. Also, she explains things in a way that makes everything seem as easy as A B C. For any international travellers, Clayfield Vet Clinic can help you out with all the checks you need to go through before your pet can be exported to another land. That's a service not provided by the majority of vet clinics as it requires special accreditation. Bonus! Clayfield Vet Clinic is quite popular, and so I'd advise making an appointment. You can usually get in the same day or the next day. Another good thing- it's an independent family owned practice- now if that doesn't get your vote, what does? Most importantly, It's obvious that all of the vets there are doing what they love. It's not the daily grind for these folk, that's fo' sho'.

Dreadful experience that almost cost my dog his life and if the emergency animal ambulance personal had not of intervened that's exactly how it would have ended! I returned with my dog every day for 3 days post surgery and my concerns were completely ignored by this clinic! On day 3 I learned that they had overbooked surgeries with one of their staff on a day off. Because I had been so very concerned about his recovery and he wasn't going well I left him in their hands believing they specialised in his breed. Well, he had an emergency and had to be intubated. Then at our direction was to be transferred to the specialist vets but the vet hadn't even sedated the dog suitably for the trip. The ambulance staff had to argue with her on our dogs behalf! I've heard horror story after horror story since sharing our experience and even been bullied online by the clinic staff! Pretending not to be clinic staff but sharing my personal details with others !!!! Oh and they will say they don't have a record of me as a client well I'm happy to share the bills that say otherwise!!!! Never ever would I recommend this place.

On one occasion he got into a dust-up with a feline foe and after a couple of days of limping around tragically we bit the (financial) bullet and took him into Grange Vet Surgery for a look- over. The girl on reception was great to deal with when booking and on arrival, and the vet we saw is brilliant- my Max fell in love with her. I wish I could remember her name to recommend her. Thankfully his injuries were nothing to be concerned about and after a quick antibiotic injection and a (very reasonably priced, thankfully) payment we were on our way. I'll definitely bring him back next time he decides to have a biff, but I hope it's not for a while.

Friendly service but a little pricey…read more My silly bird (that I'd only had for a few weeks) broke a feather and started bleeding all over the place. He was still chirping but I was freaking out! I hurriedly booked in after checking that they look after birds (via their website). When I arrived I was informed they rarely see birds, but recommended a great vet practice that did (The Bird Vet, Chermside) - but they also did a quick 5 minute check on my squealing cockatiel and assured me he'll live after finding he just split a blood feather. I was reassured and happy, and a little surpised that a simple quick consult was $40 worth. Would certainly take a dog or cat there if I had them. (I can't, the cat would eat the bird and the dog would eat the cat!)

I've had many vets over the years, and I can vouch for the fact that some vets view pets as products while some vets view pets as important parts of peoples lives. No big surprises what camp the Alderley Enoggera Veterinary Practice falls into. From the moment I walked in there I felt at home, the clean and cheerful surgery is housed in the front of a renovated Queenslander with a pet access ramp at the front. My dog had put her back out chasing a ball (I didn't even know it was possible) and due to the potential dangers of paralysis ticks the vet gave her a thorough going over. The whole examination took almost an hour, and I must admit I was mentally calculating the bill at astronomical. Imagine my surprise when they only charged me $60 for the vet's time! The pain medication was also reasonably priced, and the vet also took care of a little cyst my dog had for free. The vet nurse then spent time with me talking about flea medication and she recommended one she uses for her 6 dogs which has been a great solution for us. I've since found out that other people I know have routinely driven their dogs across the city to this vet due to their level of care. I was lucky enough to move into the area which is how I found them, but now they're mine I'm never letting them go. If you love your animals then this is not only the vet for you but, more importantly, it's the vet for them.
