I am beyond disappointed with Ashley Amanda Photography. We had a photoshoot scheduled with Ashley Amanda for 7/21/16 at 6:40 in Frankfurt (more than an hour drive from our home). My family and I arrived a few minutes early and waited at the corner of White and Kansas per her instructions. My 2 toddlers sat on a park bench for over 35 minutes in 90+ degree weather but she did not arrive. I messaged her 3 times that evening, 2 emails and one Facebook message (unfortunately I hadn't thought to get her phone number since prior to then email correspondence worked great) thinking maybe she was just running late. I didn't hear back from her. Two days later I sent her another follow up message (assuming there was a mix up) never heard back. Now it's been nearly 1 week since our scheduled appointment with no response. This session was won through a Facebook New Year's contest that she ran where she gave away one free mini session for each of the 12 months, we won a July session which was scheduled in February. It was initially scheduled for the week earlier but she rescheduled due to rain. All of the previous correspondence were quick responses and friendly. If she doesn't plan on honoring her commitments, she shouldn't have giveaway contests and she certainly shouldn't schedule appointments that she doesn't plan on attending. We have used Ashley Amanda photography twice. Both sessions turned out great. Her turn around time is probably one of the best I've seen. She's patient and listens to what you ask. My youngest was difficult at our last session but Ashley took her time and understood that not all kids are easy to photograph. I have 2 more sessions set up with her. One session I have had to cancel numerous times because of my health. She had such kind words and never once made me feel guilty for canceling. She did my maternity pictures when I was pregnant with my first daughter. It was right around Christmas and she made sure to not let them look Christmas-y since I asked for them not to be. She gave very clear instructions for posing and also what attire we should wear. She's very professional and the pictures are gorgeous!!! read more

I received an email from Ashley Amanda Photography stating the photographer was looking to take pictures of 100 woman in 2018 and the session would be free. The photographer told me she was using these pictures to make a portfolio. I signed up and the pictures turned out well. The photographer was asking at the cheapest $300 for any (even 1) digital image. I didn't expect free pictures, but wasn't even allowed to buy just 1 or 2 digital pictures, but needed purchase the complete album. This was very bad advertising and a way for her to scam people into a session. Beware! read more

I was not happy with her skills as a photographer at all. The pics were amateur at best. She needs a new personality as well. Very rude person! I could have just had my mom take them. She had no creative ideas for the pics. If you're a photographer, you need to have some type of creativity, which she lacked. I don't she's really experienced as a photographer. I think she needs more practice before charging people money for pics. I would choose a different person to take your pics. read more

I won a $50 print credit in one of Ashley Amanda's Facebook contests. This led me to book a mini session with her and putting down a $50 deposit to hold my session. A few weeks out, she contacted me to see if I could move my session to another day as she had a family conflict. No problem at all - family comes first! But when I then had a conflict arise on her re-scheduled day, she would not allow me to use my $50 non-refundable deposit to re-book the mini session, stating that her cancellation policy only allows for it to be used for a Lifestyle Session and the sitting fee goes from $150 to $250. Ok, fine...I try to schedule that with my immediate family (Mom, Stepdad, Brother, Sister {sister is married with 2 small children}) and she informs me the fee is now $375 because it is "multiple" families. She had absolutely NO flexibility with me and did not offer the mutual respect that I afforded her. In the end, I lost my $50 deposit and any hope of a civil photography session. I would NOT recommend her...unless you want to be disrespected and nickle and dimed. read more
