From her first email detailing tips on a successful session, it was obvious from the start that we had made a great decision in choosing her. Francine was really helpful and responsive before we even booked her. She answered all of my questions, and once booked, she sent over really helpful instructions (e.g., have the baby fed, give him a bath, etc., before coming to the studio). Once we arrived, we found our baby's name on a cute lil' letter board (this was such a nice touch since we were still not used to seeing his name written out in the real world). Francine told us we were welcome to watch or take a nap, and we decided to do a little bit of both. She truly is a master of her craft and wrapped up in no time (pun intended). We actually got our photos the same day!! (Please keep in mind that she does have deadlines; I like to think we got lucky, which was a VERY nice treat and greatly appreciated!). We've had three sessions with Francine (Lillybelle Rose) over the past 9 months or so, and each has exceeded my expectations. Her newborn photos are just amazing and really speak for themselves. Oh, the cuteness of naked, squishy babies. She has obviously worked with so many tiny ones and knows exactly what goes into a successful newborn session. We used her for maternity photos as well, and my husband and I were so, so pleased with the images she captured for us. My 3 year old can be rather stubborn about posing for pics, and she charmed him expertly. Expertly, I mean it! She seemed to know a lot about lighting and skin tone as well (it was winter, so we were in her studio), and knew exactly how and where she wanted us positioned. Oh, and she was particular about little things like how the ribbon on my dress laid and whether my fingers were apart or together on my husband's arm. It seemed funny at the time and she kind of laughed about her obsessions, but I could see that these little things really made a difference in the end result. I could go on and on about Francine's talent and the beautiful images we've gotten from her, but I will stop gushing and just recommend you take a look at her photos. Administratively, she was very responsive via email to all the questions I had, and also very prompt in getting our images to us after each shoot. The only critique I have is that, when I first tried to book our maternity and newborn sessions, I had a tough time understanding the appointment booking feature of her website. But I persevered, and I'm glad I did, since I know I'll be marching my little ones to Francine for more pictures every chance I get. read more

I am so glad I went with Francine!! It is clear from the beginning that she loves what she does. Her studio is absolutely gorgeous. I originally wanted a newborn session at my home since those first few days w baby were insane but Francine makes it so easy and worth the drive. We took full advantage of the parents lounge and slept while she and the baby did their thing. Now for the important stuff: the pictures are adorable and absolutely stunning. We first used her based on the recommendation and gorgeous photos of a friend with newborn twins. She captured both of them (and parents) in so many beautiful photos that I knew we would have some luck. She completely exceeded our expectations. The photos that she took of my family, especially the ones of our 3 yr old daughter were incredible, and a few of them that are displayed on my dad's desk at work have been mistaken for 'ad' photos! We recently spent an eary afternoon with Francine, as she shot a newborn session for our week-old daughter, Emma. We could not be more pleased with the experience from the booking process through the arrival of our photos. Being our first child, and photo shoot, we had no idea what to expect, but Francine was so well prepared, inviting, and also captured the best photos! She really does care about the photos she captures as she worked with Emma in various stages of alertness, hunger, and general fussiness, giving us as much time as we needed and letting us know exactly what her plans were, and what photos she planned to try and capture, while also involving us and allowing us to recommend what we wanted to see. Francine is amazing. First off, she answers all of her emails within 24 hours. Her communication prior to your photo shoot is excellent. She sends you a link to view all possible locations for your photo shoot. She also sends you a quick form to fill out with child's names, ages, helpful tips and what type of photos you are looking for....I thought this was so thoughtful...other photographers that I have worked with never asked for so much of my input. We took our photos in Downtown Naperville. She spent a little over an hour taking photos of my 3 children early one morning. She pulled out a puppet, was laying on the ground, helping me change them, and overall happy and joyful to be doing her job. She has an amazing eye and truly captured all three personalities of my kids. She had all 3 posed together and separately. I have a 1 year old, 5 year old and 8 year old. She took action shots...them jumping, twirling, rolling down the hill. She took candids and posed shots.
