When I found Kaylee's website, I was captivated. I kept looking around, but I knew what I wanted. I recommend booking her early (I did 10 mos in advance). For our engagement shoot, they weren't able to make it all the way out to where we lived. They wanted to meet somewhere more central. We decided on meeting in Leavenworth within a certain timeframe in which they'd be there. Although 3.5hrs away from home and kinda last-minute, the trip actually turned out to be a wonderful weekend getaway for my husband and I, so we were Happy! They looked like lovely pictures of real, happy people - not overly-processed and cinematic. This is exactly the type of style I wanted for our micro-wedding. I generally dislike having my photo taken, and I'm notorious among my friends and family for refusing to be photographed during events. In spite of that, naturally I expected to endure many pictures on my wedding day. Even with my reservations, it all passed so quickly and easily! No feelings of overwhelm, exhaustion, frustration, or impatience. To begin with, we had a Zoom call to serve as our introduction. My distaste for being seen digitally extends to video chats, but Joanna immediately helped put me at ease. She is an expert in her field and specializes in people who are less comfortable with having their photo taken. She offered logistical support in planning our day, as well as the emotional support that comes with having an ally who can understand your position and work with you. She is so kind and personable, which is perfect for those of us who are a little more on the timid side. In terms of the day of, she was already at the venue well before the rest of us arrived. In between taking some get-ready shots, she even helped my family member get into a very tight-fitting dress. I genuinely don't know if we could have wrangled that zipper up without Joanna's help! After that, she gave a brief lesson to my person-of-honor, showing how to properly fluff out my dress's long train behind me. Additionally, I noticed she was skilled with remembering the names of our close family and wedding-party members. Joanna is so organized and swift with her camera. Despite beginning our ceremony a little later than scheduled, she managed to shoot every photo we wanted within our tight timeframe of just two hours - with a few minutes to spare, too! She's also great at giving clear direction to help improve positioning and posing. And it all flew by so fast. She had our photos ready with astonishing speed (just one week later!), and they were just as wonderful as I had hoped! These are exactly what I wished our wedding pictures would look like. I'm so happy with the variety of different shots Joanna managed to capture, and I'm in disbelief of how well they turned out. I couldn't be happier with the service she provided to us on our special day. I would highly recommend her to anybody, but especially to others who might be less confident in front of the camera.

I am pleased with their high-quality work and highly recommend Lifelong! The first session was outdoors, at a Bothell area park, a venue selected/suggested by Dawn. My daughter used four outfits; Dawn & Sue were patient and inspirational toward her. I appreciate how easy it was for M. to relax in front of the camera with both Dawn and Sue guiding her poses. They are personable thus making it easier for the subject to open up and feel confident in front of the camera. Both photographers have an exceptional "eye" for scenery options, and use natural lighting options in an optimum manner. Importantly we were not rushed, and I was allowed glimpses of the portrait captures. This was reassuring and exciting to me, allowing me to preview the outcome. We were included in the session decisions at appropriate times. For the second session M. was invited to their spacious studio in Mukilteo. We agreed upon a Makeup/Hair Artist for this session. This site has a spacious dressing room area, complete with cosmetology chairs/counters. M. is an aspiring entertainment industry candidate, and a current dancer. Our vision was to obtain workable head and body shots, for industry purposes. Dawn and Sue were incredible with regard to assisting M. toward relaxing in front of the camera, and I am amazed with the wonderful shots captured! Positive comments are flooding in, including comparison of certain shots to Vogue or similar magazines. These experts quickly put sneak peek shots onto facebook, allowing patrons a nearly immediate glimpse of the session. This is followed by access to a secure site, where the customer can view massive images and make purchase decisions. I highly recommend Lifelong Photography! Our experience is reflective of a Senior shoot, or model head/body shoot. I have viewed their family and child images, which are also impressive.
