All I can say is it was a complete waste of my time. I found Ashley on Facebook, we met and took…read morephotos for my first pregnancy. A month and a half later, nothing. Granted we paid her $125 and she cashed it the next day. I tried reaching out to Ashley only to get excuses on how she was on vacation, sick, and her e-mail didn't go through. It was one excuse after the next. Finally, I was able to see some of the images as I was waiting to print them for our nursery. They of course have her name plastered all over them, even though we paid for copyright. I had to photoshop her name out of all the images. Then, after going out of town and returning hoping for our CD of ALL our pictures...nothing! I e-mail her expressing how disappointed I am and we will take legal action because this is just ridiculous. She responds back telling me she had no idea and then she accidentally sent our most personal photos to another client (a complete stranger to us). I was so upset , I didn't even want the pictures anymore. She then addresses how she does not appreciate the "harshness" and she thought I was a much nicer person than I seemed in my e-mail. I'm sorry but I am not paying you for your thoughts or opinion of me, I paid for something that I had to constantly stay on top of her for...much like I do my own clients. She is anything but professional. Today, I received our CD's, we were supposed to get a free print for booking before the holidays...of course if was not there. No surprise there. Hiring Ashley was one of the biggest mistakes I made - not to mention that I like maybe 3 our of the 15 photo's we got back. There are a few that are blurry and for using "natural light" she sure puts a lot of them in B&W, and my head is is cut off in at least 4 of them. Awesome - I have no intention on even showing these to my child when he grows up because they were so horribly done. Put the money to someone that can back up their work! Also, the photos were on my facebook because they were a sneak peak and she tagged me in them. UPDATE - her response to my initial review reflects how she treats her clients as well as how professional she is.. Hi Colby, I am sorry you are that dissatisfied with your product. This is the first I have heard that you only liked 3 photos. As documented in our emails I can only protest that you knew full well that you would get your CD in four weeks as two of those weeks you were told we would be gone for christmas, I also would like to post that your cd contained images that didn't include copyright on them. However, your immediate sneak peek downloadable file I sent you the day after our shoot had copyright on the photos as do all my sneak peeks. I won't continue to argue my point with this. Sometimes you just can't win over every client. However, Natural light has nothing to do with making a photo BW in photoshop. So I just wanted to clear up that misconception for you. I am happy that you have used your photos on your facebook profile as seen here: **I HAVE REMOVED THIS FOR PRIVACY REASONS**... advertising your love of them. I am also glad that you got two free CD's with your shoot as a 1500th fan gift. As for the free print I never received an email as to which of the 17 photos you got back that you wanted a print of. So feel free when you get the chance to let me know what photo you wanted. I will assume you have at least 3 as you say that you can choose from. When I found Kaylee's website, I was captivated. I kept looking around, but I knew what I wanted. I recommend booking her early (I did 10 mos in advance). For our engagement shoot, they weren't able to make it all the way out to where we lived. They wanted to meet somewhere more central. We decided on meeting in Leavenworth within a certain timeframe in which they'd be there. Although 3.5hrs away from home and kinda last-minute, the trip actually turned out to be a wonderful weekend getaway for my husband and I, so we were Happy! Not to mention the pictures = fantastic (Everyone loved them!) The wedding - Kaylee and Drew were ON IT. I mean, they did their thing, knew how to direct us when needed, yet were out of the way. They looked like lovely pictures of real, happy people - not overly-processed and cinematic. This is exactly the type of style I wanted for our micro-wedding. I generally dislike having my photo taken, and I'm notorious among my friends and family for refusing to be photographed during events. In spite of that, naturally I expected to endure many pictures on my wedding day. Even with my reservations, it all passed so quickly and easily! No feelings of overwhelm, exhaustion, frustration, or impatience. To begin with, we had a Zoom call to serve as our introduction. My distaste for being seen digitally extends to video chats, but Joanna immediately helped put me at ease. She is an expert in her field and specializes in people who are less comfortable with having their photo taken. She offered logistical support in planning our day, as well as the emotional support that comes with having an ally who can understand your position and work with you. She is so kind and personable, which is perfect for those of us who are a little more on the timid side. In terms of the day of, she was already at the venue well before the rest of us arrived. In between taking some get-ready shots, she even helped my family member get into a very tight-fitting dress. I genuinely don't know if we could have wrangled that zipper up without Joanna's help! After that, she gave a brief lesson to my person-of-honor, showing how to properly fluff out my dress's long train behind me. Additionally, I noticed she was skilled with remembering the names of our close family and wedding-party members. Joanna is so organized and swift with her camera. Despite beginning our ceremony a little later than scheduled, she managed to shoot every photo we wanted within our tight timeframe of just two hours - with a few minutes to spare, too! She's also great at giving clear direction to help improve positioning and posing. And it all flew by so fast. She had our photos ready with astonishing speed (just one week later!), and they were just as wonderful as I had hoped! These are exactly what I wished our wedding pictures would look like. I'm so happy with the variety of different shots Joanna managed to capture, and I'm in disbelief of how well they turned out. I am pleased with their high-quality work and highly recommend Lifelong! The first session was outdoors, at a Bothell area park, a venue selected/suggested by Dawn. My daughter used four outfits; Dawn & Sue were patient and inspirational toward her. I appreciate how easy it was for M. to relax in front of the camera with both Dawn and Sue guiding her poses. They are personable thus making it easier for the subject to open up and feel confident in front of the camera. Both photographers have an exceptional "eye" for scenery options, and use natural lighting options in an optimum manner. Importantly we were not rushed, and I was allowed glimpses of the portrait captures. This was reassuring and exciting to me, allowing me to preview the outcome. We were included in the session decisions at appropriate times. For the second session M. was invited to their spacious studio in Mukilteo. We agreed upon a Makeup/Hair Artist for this session. This site has a spacious dressing room area, complete with cosmetology chairs/counters. M. is an aspiring entertainment industry candidate, and a current dancer. Our vision was to obtain workable head and body shots, for industry purposes. Dawn and Sue were incredible with regard to assisting M. toward relaxing in front of the camera, and I am amazed with the wonderful shots captured! Positive comments are flooding in, including comparison of certain shots to Vogue or similar magazines. These experts quickly put sneak peek shots onto facebook, allowing patrons a nearly immediate glimpse of the session. This is followed by access to a secure site, where the customer can view massive images and make purchase decisions. I highly recommend Lifelong Photography!
