I would start on my stomach, then she'd lift up the sheet entirely, stare right at me, and tell me to roll over. She did this EVERY time. I would reach up, pull down the sheet, and roll over. I did not understand that what she did was wrong until I went to a different massage therapist who would turn away and just tell me to roll over. On September 18, 2014, I was having a massage with Connie. I fell nicely deeply asleep on my stomach. I awakened to her absolutely going to town on my right breast. Totally fondling me. For quite some time and deeply - NOT some light casual passing touch. NOT inadvertent. NOT for any valid reason. I froze. Eventually she stopped. I never went back to her. I told my husband, but "did not want to get her fired" or say anything. I'm normally an assertive person, and still don't understand why I said nothing until this year. I do understand that victims of sexual assault, which I now understand this is, typically do not come forward right away. I am coming forward now because I feel that what she did to me she may have done to others, or may be doing, or will do. So I filed a Complaint with the Virginia Department of Health Professions. In doing so, I came to know that this person is not even licensed, which is a requirement in the State of Virginia. So she is advertising and practicing as a massage therapist without a license. DHP told me they would refer the matter to the Commonwealth Attorney's Office for prosecution.
