Never had to pay for a contact/glasses fitting that can be 35 bucks if you know your RX but 125.00 if you don't. RX isn't released until they "fit" you which is ridiculous. Fairly friendly staff but doubtful I will go back. read more

I like them. I ordered nice glasses and they cost about $600 during a special sale. They have lasted me several years. They have adjusted them when I asked. I also order my contacts here - I wear dailies and their prices are better than Walmart. I know because I compared the exact same thing. I think their customer service is just fine. read more

I bought two pair of glasses here, totaling $1,100. Went back to get mine adjusted and possibly buy a new pair for my wife since she lost hers. Sign on the door said no admittance without a mask. I didn't have one with me so I asked could they give me one. They said they didn't have any. Liar liar pants on fire! They all had one on just alike that probably came out of the same box. As much as glasses cost, it sure seems to be bad business to lose a good customer over a 50 cent mask! I won't be back. read more

I was hesitant to purchase eyewear here because one does pay premium prices. However, I decided to try their Zeiss progressive lenses because, In the 20 years that I have worn progressives, I have never had a pair that satisfied. Last year, I purchased progressive sunglasses at Target & they had to remake the lens (ended up using the original left lens & the remade right lens) and bend the frames to get them close to what I needed. Based on my experience, I must admit that I was really surprised at the last (and only) comment re: "awful customer service". My experience was wonderful! Since college (1968), I have worn one contact lens for distance and no contact in my other eye for reading. This has worked for me, and I have resisted moving to glasses with bi-focals for probably 20 years. Since my drivers license is up for renewal, I thought this might be the year I should consider getting a pair of glasses! I went to Dr. Geoffrey Garrett (who is amazing) for a new prescription. I decided to use Ashley Ridge Optical as it was so convenient. "Naomi" was the person who helped me select my frames, the type of lens that would most fit my needs, etc. She was a total angel! She made a process that I had dreaded for years into a happy, even fun, occasion. There were two other ladies there, and both seemed very competent and easy to communicate with as well. I just picked up my glasses and a new contact for my one eye -- and everything is absolutely perfect. I will never use another Optical company again as long as I am in the Shreveport area. Failing to get what I wanted for my peculiar needs, I went to Duncan Optical. There, an experienced and very well trained professional knew exactly what I was talking about and, having run into a number of my requests before, arranged to have a special lens ground for me.
