This is where her and her friends usually get their formal type wear for sweet 16s, Christmas parties, etc. However, I never go to the one in Quakerbridge because, tbh the staff isn't as attentive and definitely brushes us off. We just happened to be there and against my better judgment, we went inside because my daughter needs a new NYE outfit. I have to say, it really has changed from The summer when I was last there. The new manager, Sabrina or Sarena (I'm not good with names) was extremely attentive, funny and helped her find the perfect dress. Even said she would get it from another store if need be (for no extra cost). This location will prob be our new go to.

It was roomy enough to not bump into other shoppers while I was shopping so that was nice. They had a sizeable accessory section with a good variety. The staff didn't greet me upon entering. But what I didn't like was that the clothes were more worn than most other Plato's Closets. They seemed more dated and more worn. The shoes were not really in good condition and that's mostly what I came for.

They have no bag limit, but other locations will limit you to 2 bags per customer. The staff is well trained in knowing what is in style and how to properly examine the pieces to come in. I've been to other Plato's (I am also a former employee - back from college) and I think Michelle, the owner, gives the fairest rates so I prefer coming to this location although the Fairfield and Edison locations are closer to me. They have an extensive women's selection, a smaller men's section and even buy shoes and accessories. Sometimes items are not in season for the store to buy or they are overstocked in that category, but I would not let it deter you from trying to sell because you can always try again at a later time. They often have deal days like where the clearance is $1 per item. The only down side - and this is the case in thrifting, in general, is that sometimes I find the cutest item but it isn't in my size! But that's the nature of the game! If you are looking to get rid of clothes or do some shopping to add to your closet, Plato's closet is a great choice! Really quality items for great prices!

I saw so many cool items and any time I would ask Jessica (the owner) about one of them she knew the exact story behind it. It's easy to see that she has been very intentional about every little detail and it shows. I'm 0% surprised that this won Best of Philly 2022!
