With the purchase agreement and deposit completed, the delivery date was somewhat vague, supposedly due to the problems of finding drivers during the Covid pandemic. After nearly a month of waiting patiently, a message was sent to the company office where the salesperson and sales manager changed their story. The 'new' timeline was written in a return email as reading; "we're at the mercy of the delivery company and don't have a delivery date, but as soon as we get the product we'll give you a call." In essence, there's a serious breakdown in communications as the sales person clearly indicated 'by the end of the week with the sales manager waving the 'we're at the mercy' flag which is a contradiction of points in their own ranks. Sorry folks, I now don't trust anything coming from their mouth's and wouldn't trust the lot if their tongues were bank stamped. The old saying goes; "If a company uses an I'm sorry excuse, they're a sorry excuse for a company." This seems to be the case for Kaiser; as I've read other such reviews on the internet. No more business through their organization. Period.

I called twice and left messages both times. The lady who answered the phone told me she gave the salesperson my contact details. No response either time. I cannot help but think I was deliberately ignored. After one full week with no call back, I bought furniture elsewhere. I am not impressed.

Upon inquiring about the warranty for the sofa we were told that if anything was wrong that he would ensure that the issue was taken care of and if it could not be corrected he would trade out for a new sofa. After having the sofa for only a couple of months it started breaking down. When we contacted the store manager about this issue we were once again "ASSURED" that he would rectify the issue and if the issue could not be fixed, he would offer a new replacement sofa. This did not happen. While the store manager did try to fix what he thought was the issue it did not work. And now the store manager is not standing behind his words/promise to us. We were told it's up to his regional manager. So bottom line is that his "Promise"/"ASSURANCE" was nothing but puffing (blowing smoke to make a sale). This store is NO LONGER our go to store for furniture. If you tell a customer (or anyone) that you will stand behind the item sold, then honor your words. This is definitely bad customer service and leaves no room for recommendations to others to shop at this store!!

But spoke to all the others with flair. The building is old, cold and full of leaks because they refuse to put money into a 50 year old building. There are far better furniture stores with a modern selection, price and building!

Grand literally told us if we had just came in 2 days sooner, they would have replaced the couch. We then contacted the warranty company, since we had the Platinum Plan. Our first contact was in December 2022. A technician FINALLY came out in February 2022 and stated they expect the recliners to fail after 2 years. Regardless, after the technician contact, we did not hear back from anyone. We called and called until THIS December, 2023, we were told they cancelled our claim. Long story short, after not being able to stand broken furniture in my living room, they offered to pro-rate our insurance... from a WHOLE YEAR AFTER OUR CLAIM!! We have a broken couch, 2 more months till parts could arrive, and no satisfaction. (redaction of the comment about the insurance and quality of product) UPDATE: An associate reached out to me this morning and stated they would correct our situation by giving us a store credit for the amount of the couch if I would update the review. After talking to a supervisor from the insurance company and an associate from Grand Home Furnishings corporate yesterday morning who stated I voided my warranty and they were doing no more to help my situation, the person from Grand who called today stated she wanted to make it right. We do appreciate the associate who called today who helped us after falling though numerous cracks. Even though I redacted my comment on the insurance they sale, I will state we did not get anything but frustration from the insurance. I cannot and will not state anything positive about our experience with the Platinum Plan.

The used one had a tear in the back that had been glued! We didn't notice until we rearranged the living room and called them immediately. We were told they would send someone our to fix it!!! No!!!!!! We paid for a new one and we want a new one. They weren't very happy about it. We went back to the store (exit 7 bristol va) to talk with the salesman. To make a longer story shorter. We ended up with a loveseat. Do not get furniture from here. The delivery was a bigger joke.

Hello. Bristol Native here. I believe in supporting small businesses especially in my hometown. I…read moregrew up here and with all the changes being made to the city I believe it's important to support our hard-working small business owners in time where it's hard to survive. I purchased a king mattress and box spring, along with a queen mattress and box spring, for a total of $2,248.37 including tax. I was coming into town after unexpectedly losing my sister. I needed somewhere last minute to stay and decided to furnish my developing Airbnb as a last resort. The king mattress was unable to be brought through the hallway stairs but after measuring the king was not going to fit in the room I designed it for. I contacted the owner and explained the situation. Although the receipt stated "all sales final," the owner agreed to make an exception and specifically told me he would process a refund for the king mattress set with only a $100 pickup fee. I would like to emphasize that pick up team was delightful and fully understanding of my situation. (I can add that they agreed with you) When the delivery team arrived to pick up the king mattress, they appeared unaware it was being returned and initially attempted to bring it inside. I clarified it was a return, they called the owner. At that point, after already agreeing to the refund, the owner changed the terms. He accused my me of lying about the reason for the return and suddenly added a 25% restocking fee on top of the previously agreed $100 pickup fee. He was under the impression his team could make it fit as if we had not already discussed and agreed upon the reason and decision for a refund. I was grateful to be getting any refund at all, but to accuse me of lying about not being able to fit the mattress upstairs and not notifying the pick up people of the return to check my validity was absolutely unprofessional. In the end, my father received only $765 back for the returned king mattress and box spring. Based on the purchase, the company retained approximately $523 from the return (including the pickup fee), despite the owner's original agreement to refund it for only a $100 pickup charge. Businesses certainly have the right to enforce return policies. What disappointed us was that the owner first made one agreement, then changed the terms after the pickup crew had already arrived. If the final policy was going to be a 25% restocking fee plus a pickup fee, that should have been disclosed from the beginning--not after a refund had already been promised. We understand businesses need policies, but we also believe a person's word matters. We cannot recommend a company that changes the financial terms of an agreement after the fact.

Sub par service, poor management, and my recommendation is to support other local businesses that…read moretruly deserve your money and Actually care.
