New update: July 2023 I came in here with a genuine interest in purchasing office furniture and keeping my card active. The staff (Matt) offered help. I didn't ask for help. He told lies stating a minimum purchase amount was required (around 500ish) and that my small purchase would not qualify to purchase on my Ashley card. The staff member lied to me and told me my account was already closed due to inactivity. I called when I got home and found out my account is very open and active and can be used. This rating would've been much better had I been left alone to make my small purchase on my own. This salesperson pretty much pushed a potential sale right out the door. From start to finish my experience with Ashley was great. And I must say this was my first time ever to an Ashley store, thanks to my son who brought me there. I wanted to buy a new loveseat for my sunroom because the loveseat I had for many years was peeling; that is the bonding was finally coming off. Furniture was delivered damaged. It took several months to get the replacement parts. Some of the replacements were delivered damaged and we had to wait another three months. The repairman was incompetent and when he installed the replacement parts he did it wrong, so that the drawers wouldn't shut. I contacted Ashley, they said the warranty had expired, but I could purchase an extended warranty. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

How do I start to write about the nightmare that we have experienced with Ashley Store in Cary, NC? Since we had problems from purchasing all the way to delivery I will group them as the Store, The Delivery and The Customer Service. The Ashley Store In Cary: We dealt with Daniel. He promised us if we buy more from them he will give us a 20% discount across the board. It was a lie. When we compared the on-line prices with the actual price that we got (over $14,900) we only got a 6% across the board discount. On some items we ended up paying more than the advertised price on-line. The furniture pieces that we wanted were not displayed in the store and we were forced to go by what was posted on the Ashley on-line site to pick up furniture for a three bedroom apartment, while we were in the store. We had to guess the size, the quality of the finishes and how it will look in real life. We were promised that if we don't like any of them on delivery we can refuse them and get our money back. Easier said than done. Meaning the delivery guy gave us a very hard time to return anything and was trying to bully us to accept pieces that were not to our liking and also had damage. We paid over $840 for delivery. The First Delivery: Daniel canceled our delivery without us knowing. On a Friday we waited in an empty apartment for hours until we called and found out that nobody is coming as he canceled the delivery for that day. This was our move-in day and had no bed to sleep on. The next day, Saturday, Giovanni, a subcontractor came with another guy, that didn't speak any English. We ended up refusing at least six pieces of furniture on delivery as they all had defects. And one of them(the TV commode) was in fact damaged during transport and the Mexican Delivery guy Giovanni, tried to blame it on my husband that he broke the leg off. I took pictures as he brought it in and the leg is clearly broken. Giovanni was very upset that we kept refusing pieces of furniture and called at least two people while in our apartment. He spoke Spanish the entire time, and he called me a bitch (puta) more than once, not knowing that I understand Spanish. One of the couches didn't fit in the elevator. We were told that we need to pay them $100.00 cash if we want them to bring it up the stairs because they can only bring it up 3 flights of stairs without charge, but we lived on the 4th floor and we have to pay. We paid. We got a dirty and damaged couch as they dragged it on the the concrete floors. See picture. We realised later on that we only had 3 flights of stairs because the first floor is actually the ground floor. So we were duped. They damaged our walls during delivery. See pictures. The Customer Service: We called to complain and spoke with a supervisor named Regina. Regina took down our complaint and she promised that Giovanni will never work for them again. But he still does work for Ashley as they tried to send him out again after we complained about him.She also promised to reimburse us the $100.00 that we wrongfully paid along with other type of compensation once we got all our furniture delivered. We never got any reimbursement or any other type of compensation, and Regina would not take our calls back. The Second Delivery: The second delivery was done by Mario. The dinning table was left with steel staples underneath, staples that I discovered acidentaly when I stabbed my finger in one of them. See the pix attached. Then one of the dining chairs had a big scratch on the wooden leg and my husband told Mario not to bring it up as he is refusing it. Mario brought it up after he used a black marker to cover the scratch up, and tried to pass it to my husband that they had an extra chair with them. My husband saw the marker and he refused the chair and sent them away. Needless to say, we will never purchase from Ashley in the future. Overall a disgrace of an experience! read more

Just had the best experience at this Ashley Home Store location! Bought a new house and needed a new mattress, bedroom set, and living room set. Walked and immediately was greeted by Andy - no pressure sales - asked what we needed - said he would help us out if needed but didn't lurk at all! I took my kids there couch shopping because ours had broken and we needed a new one pretty quickly. The staff was super friendly and patient with my kids and I. They even offered them something to play with because they could see they were bored. They were able to price match the online price I had found and make it all work for us! Their system was down for scheduling delivery and stuff, but they got my number and make sure to text me right away when it came back up again to make sure I was kept in the loop. BUYER BEWARE: HORRIBLE QUALITY FURNITURE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! You may get a good price on their furniture but after waiting WEEKS in an empty house to get furniture, we just received our furniture delivery from Ashley Homestore and I've NEVER been more disappointed in a furniture store! We had TWO terrible experiences with Ashley: 1) The first time we ordered a sofa set, they arranged a delivery date, and it never arrived. They never called to cancel or notify us of another date. We called to see what was going on and they told us a delivery had never been scheduled and took no ownership of the problem. We demanded a refund and they told us they processed a refund over the phone. A few days later, we had to physically go into the store when we noticed they had still not actually given us a refund. After much discussion and no ownership on their end, they finally refunded us. The manager gave us a discount to try to make things right and convinced us this was an isolated incident and to give them another chance and place another order with them. 2) We placed an order of furniture with them thinking the above incident must have been a fluke. Today was our delivery date for 4 pieces of furniture and 75% of the furniture we ordered arrived in OPEN boxes and came out DAMAGED and DEFECTIVE! The bedroom set literally had black sharpie colored on it to cover defects, the barstools came out chipped, and the coffee table set had major scratches all over it. This is clearly a common occurrence because when we called customer service they tried to give us $20 to accept damaged furniture and we were told we couldn't cancel our order and get a refund because they were "willing to make it right" and we would have to pay a 10% restocking fee. So now we have to wait another few weeks to get what will probably be more damaged and defective furniture...if their delivery actually arrives. Ikea literally has better quality and service. What happened to the Ashley furniture I used to know? I have been a repeat buyer from Ashley home store at multiple locations including this one. I bought an entire loving room set in college circa 2012 in Charlotte, had no problems at all with the delivery. I purchased my master bedroom suite from the Cary location in 2014, including bed, king mattress, chest of drawers, and dresser with mirror. There were no hiccups with that delivery either and they were transparent and on time. Scheduling was a breeze. Two years ago, I purchased outdoor furniture from the Cary location. Again, easy purchase, easy scheduling, and the delivery was right on time within a few weeks without even a hiccup. THIS purchase however, is like I am in another dimension. Seriously Ashley, whatever you changed, fix it, because you destroyed a perfectly good system. If you are short handed because of the pandemic, that is fine and no one is going to blame you but you have to be honest with your customers. You are running people off by disrespecting their time and canceling a delivery the day of with no good excuse. I regret that I didn't read the reviews here before ordering to prepare myself. I have the same "your item didn't pass inspection" so the delivery couldn't be completed issue that several other have had and this was my second delivery date... This is also after a huge hassle with multiple phone calls to your crappy customer care line to schedule delivery because your kept harassing my husband with text messages asking when we we available for delivery. We promptly responded every time and got the SAME message the next day, and the day after, and a couple days after that, and the day after that, and so on... So I still have no furniture, no estimated date of delivery, and a company that is being very shady and dishonest about the whole ordeal, and is a disorganized mess with no logistical capabilities. You expect your customers to rearrange their lives when you cancel delivery time and time again. It's utterly reprehensible. Get it together Ashley, you are losing customers. Purchased a bed from here. They wanted an additional 200$ to have it delivered to our home so we decided we would pick it up and save 200$. It took three months with COVID to get our bed. We picked it up and my husband put it together. I feel for what we paid they should offer free in home delivery to customers. When I purchased the bed I felt pressured into buying the warranty and I've just never had much luck with warranty's. They only cover some stuff and I always have to pay more money. So wasn't worth it. I just don't like pushy salesmen and we had one here. But the quality of the bed is great and came in perfect condition so can't complain at all about that. read more

I have discovered this week that the sales person lied to me about purchasing a floor model. I went in looking for a specific type of sofa and she suggested the floor model had what i was looking for and was on a good sale. Today i have discovered that the floor model is considered used furniture and does NOT come with the standard one year warranty. She also told me it was top grain leather. I've only had it 6 months and it is fading. The $600 diamond insurance she talked me into buying also does not cover fading. Just tell the truth people. Poor quality furniture should just be stated that way. read more

This review is strictly about the delivery service. One of the delivery drivers broke into my husband's truck during the delivery while the other delivery person set up our furniture. The driver entered my husband's truck 3 times while my husband was inside our home with the other guy. This was all caught on surveillance video. I filed a police report, contacted the dispatch company for Ashley and notified them as well and offered to supply them with the footage. I'm all fairness the bulk of the blame must fall on the driver, he was the one who broke into our truck, however I also lay fault on Ashley Home Store as well. They obviously are not doing ANY sort of background check on the contract company or drivers they hire to deliver there furniture. I notified Ashley's delivery department and I was told no one would be able to speak with the day I called because on Mondays they don't do deliveries. Two things, what does that have to do with someone speaking to me about a driver they sent to our home who broke into my husband's truck. Second, it's 3 days later and no one has contacted me from Ashley. To add insult to injury, this same delivery guy who broke into my husband's truck threw the pillows to our sofa on the dirty ground so he could continue going through our truck. We found that out too when we checked the camera. The whole experience has been very traumatic. UPDATE: The guy who broke into my husband's truck had a previous breaking & entering, felony and other pending charges and convictions. I found this out by doing a simple internet search. The delivery company Ashley Home store used, either didn't do a criminal background check or did and still hired him. To say they were recklessly irresponsible would be an understatement. And as of today no one has reached out to me from Ashley Home furniture or the delivery company they used. read more

We ordered $4000 worth of bedroom furniture in March 2021. It is July 16th, 2021 and we are still waiting. We are past their window they've provided of 8-12 weeks which was already excessive. They do however continue to check in every few weeks to basically tell me they have no word on the items. I am at my wits end at this point. Worst furniture buying experience ever. I spent $4500 for a new bedroom set, mattress, and adjustable base on 10/18. I was told when I bought the furniture that the bedroom set could be delayed due to COVID, but I was told that the mattress and adjustable base would be delivered on 11/7 on the day that I moved into my new place. On 11/7 we moved into our place expecting to receive a base and mattress that day. They never came. When I called the customer care line to check on them, I was told that those items had been delayed until 11/18. No prior notice or reason had been given for the delay and the customer service rep didn't seem to care at all that my pregnant wife and I would have to sleep on the floor because they couldn't meet a promise date. The people in the store were able to get us the mattress and bed frame within a couple days, but when they showed up, the slats for the frame were the wrong size. We're still waiting on replacement slats as of 1/16. The adjustable base showed up about a week later, but the delivery team did not even bother to attempt setting it up. They just left it in the box in my hallway, so me and my pregnant wife had to attempt to assemble and set up the over 200 pound base on our own. The only problem was that we couldn't set it up the base with the bed because we don't have slats. I called the salesman and customer care about this. They sent a team of service techs out to try to install the base, but without slats there was nothing they could do. So, as of now, 3 months after I bought the bedroom set, the bed is still not assembled and we are still just sleeping on the base and mattress. I still have not received my night stands, dresser, or slats, but I did receive a call from customer service about a week ago that basically said that "we don't know when we will deliver the rest of your items." I have tried to cancel the entire order and return the few items that I have received but was told that they wouldn't accept the items because I already had them. I can promise that I will never buy another item from Ashley Furniture and I would urge anyone else to avoid them at all costs. On 03/05/2021, my wife and I went to the Ashley Home Store in Cary, NC. Our purchases totaled $4,800.00. I had part of the purchase (bed frame/ head board) delivered on 03/16/2021, and the delivery (J&J Logistics/Riverstone Logistics) went terribly, to say the least. My walls and floor were damaged, in addition to some parts allegedly went missing. The delivery guys didn't have the right screw bit to put the bed together and I had to provide them my tools. They said the screws were missing and I had them take the bed back since I wasn't going to get stuck with an unassembled bed with missing parts. They removed part of the bed, leaving the garbage, screws, wood slots, light, cell phone adaptor, and bolts behind...and yes the screws that were allegedly missing, well they were found....Due to their sloppiness, the screws were on a nightstand and not on the floor with the others. I happen to take photos before they came, during, and after they left. There were no scratches on the floor prior, but because they scattered screws on the wood floor, it was scratched most likely because they stepped on it. I still can't believe the mess they left behind. So I sent photos to GM at the store and was prepared to cancel everything on the spot. She tried to make things right by placing a claim in with RIVERSTONE LOGISTICS for the damage. Well I sent in the photos as requested and received a letter back from J & J Logistics stating that they "remember seeing the scratch on the floor coming in and that they didn't put any merchandise around the area where the scratch was (Plenty of photos of that!!) The letter went on to implicate that I made false accusations against them and that they are denying the claim.. (again plenty of pictures -before, during, and after). They claim to be professional, yet, my ring camera caught them lunging the bed frame into the truck due to their frustration. Anyway, I guess small claims court, here we come... !!!!!I am disappointed in Ashley Furniture because they haven't really followed through on this with me....They left me to do that on my own....The delivery service is really shotty......It really seems like a scam scenario... Because Ashley Furniture subs out the delivery to Riverstone Logistics who then subs out the delivery to whoever...and it happens to be in my case, J & J Logistics. So the claim process isn't with Ashley...they wash their hands......it isn't with Riverstone Logistics....they wash their hands.. Nope, it is possible with J & J Logistics (pursuing). The letter they sent me was so unprofessional... And the cherry on the top, I lost a screw bit, had to clean up a mess, paint the walls, and now I have to try to seek compensation from a company that I didn't hire for the scratched floor. UPDATE: 04/10/2021: I spoke to Cheryl at Ashley Furniture today, and she assisted me with my claim against the delivery team. Cheryl listened to what transpired and managed to make it right on the spot. I have new confidence with doing business with Ashley Furniture. The lesson learned here, is if the delivery team is being subcontracted by the company, they need to be trained better in how to represent the company better. Between the letter, the mess they left, being unorganized, etc..., training is a must. It would certainly make sense for the delivery teams to have the right tools, and extra screws onboard their vehicle in a case a situations arises where there is missing parts, even though this was not the case in this situation. I can only hope that in some way, Theo helps Ashley FURNITURE Executives... a birds eye of what's going on at the bottom... it's an important piece to the customers experience with the company. read more

Buyer Beware...We purchased a sofa and loveseat from Ashley Home Store in Cary back in Oct. 2023 and paid $199 to have them (Ashley "Dash") deliver the furniture. We were not aware that they contract outside delivery companies to deliver their furniture. The delivery men damaged our floors and also the top of the entry archway. The delivery company denied dragging the sofa and when I reported the damage they said it's not their policy to drag furniture. Apparently their delivery men do not follow company policy when the boss isn't around. Ashley Home Store said they are not responsible and claimed we did it after it was delivered. That is absurd and simply untrue. The delivery men left a trail of damage and evidence doesn't lie! Ashley and the delivery company are both evading liability. Ashley Home Store has put us through quite the round around for the last 6 months. Ashley emailed us in March 2024 stating that they won't take responsibility for the damage and case closed. This experience has been very stressful and I hope by sharing my story it will save others from such a nightmare. Not pushy at all, but very knowledgeable of their product and there to help you out when needed. One of the worst stores to buy online from. What you see in Ashley store is not what you get online. First they mess up my delivery - the rails for the bed I ordered were missing. Second, for that same bed, I was expecting a wooden frame (as I had seen in store) but what was delivered was a configuration of a metal frame. Order 2 - I ordered an accent chair and they sent me a defective part. When I called the customer service, all they did was said sorry and gave replacement part. I would never buy anything from Ashley.com. I placed 2 orders and both had either missing or defective parts. On top of it, their escalation team is super unhelpful. My husband and I came here not once, not twice, but three times to see if this is where we wanted to purchase a bed and mattress from. We walked away 2/3 times, and while I've never had issues with ordering furniture online From Wayfair or Pottery Barn, I was excited to be able to try out and test king size beds before purchasing. Friends- trust your instincts and if something feels off before purchasing you are probably right! After spending 2 weeks with my son in the hospital, we were just ready to pull the trigger already with Ashley and we have had nothing but issues since (and are out $1500+): 1. They couldn't tell us when the bed would be delivered until we ordered 2. The mattress and bed had to be delivered separately (A lie- the manager confirmed) 3. "You can get a bed frame delivered while you wait on the bed- we do it all the time!" 4. *mattress delivered with no frame to sit it on, so it gets left in a spare room in its packaging* 5. Hey Eric, Can we get a mattress frame so it doesn't collect dust for the 8 weeks we are waiting for the bed? "Oh- yeah, I'm going to need to speak to my manager about that one.." 6. 3 days pass.. crickets.. my husband calls back. No answer. ERIC calls back, leaves a vague message. Turns out he ordered it for us without actually communicating when it would be delivered.. 7. My husband finally gets back in touch- they agree on a 1PM-4PM window for delivery 8. Day before- delivery window now 12:30-3:30 9. Day of frame delivery: 12PM message to wrong person: "your delivery will be here at 12:15" 10: 12:03PM- still on the way to intercept a 12:30 delivery- now has to speed there to not miss delivery people - actual Act of God to get them on the phone to wait for arrival 11: visibly angry delivery men in a rush to set up bed frame and move mattress from spare room. Finally unpacks mattress. 12. Hey- this isn't the mattress we showed Eric to order 13: delivery guys: "sign here and here.. just confirming we delivered it" (nothing to read or review, just a signature field) 14. Calls customer care- they say to go in store 15. Speak to manager, she works to process a return and says we will be able to get it exchanged- no problem- sorry for your frustration! After all, Eric made a mistake in putting in your sales order as he ordered you the firm mattress when you clearly communicated and tested out the plush one. 16: call from customer care "we can't process your Return because it was delivered already" 17. Still no idea when the bed will actually be delivered- I guess we will see if that's right as well? Avoid this place. Avoid Eric. I had to leave the store when it came time to deal with Eric because I couldn't stomach being around him- I asked a lot of questions during the 3 trips and he never answered them honestly. And here we are: stuck with a king size mattress that is bad for our backs, that we never ordered, and we can't sleep on. I had been looking for two living room pieces I wanted for a while which kept saying out of stock online so I decided to go to the store. Brandon McLean was amaziiiiing! On July 11th we went to to the Cary location purchase a couch we saw online that said this specific store had it in stock. When we went, the salesman told us they had just taken it off the floor so we couldn't even see it in person. That should have been a red flag but we really wanted this specific couch. The salesman gave us a really awesome deal with the 5 year protection thrown in, so we purchased the couch. We were told we would get a text or call when the couch was going to be delivered. Again a plus because we wanted to make sure when we moved into our new house a few weeks later, we could give them the updated delivery address. Well, weeks went by and it got closer to move into our house and all the text updates I got pretty much just said "hey, we're still working on it". I read the cancellation policy and online chatted with someone who said that if I cancelled before 10 weeks, I would receive a refund minus a 10% cancellation fee. She said "after 10 weeks, you can cancel and receive a full refund". I was like perfect and had her tell me the 10 week date, which was September 19th. I ended up buying a couch somewhere else on September 17th because, still NO update! So I gave it a day and called on September 20th to cancel. The lady I spoke to said that she would fill out the cancellation form from me and transfer me to the store to process the refund minus a 10% restocking fee! I was like yea no, I was never told there was a restocking fee and only told the 10% cancellation fee if cancelled before 10 weeks. When I was transferred to the store and spoke to Sam who also reiterated the 10% stocking fee. How do you charge a 10% restocking fee to something that hasn't even been built?!?! I was fuming and at the point my boyfriend got on the phone and let her know that when we went to make the purchase on July 11th the website stated they had the couch in stock at this specific location. She kept saying I don't have control over what's on the website or something similar. She finally says "I am not going back and forth with you, I'll issue a full refund" and hangs up on him. Like let's be honest here, how are you going to charge a restocking fee to something that isn't even shipped let alone BUILT!?! If this happens to you, fight it!! I can guarantee half the furniture they have isn't in stock or even put together! I understand we're in a pandemic and everything is backup up but let's not be greedy and try to nickel and dime people. Definitely will not be buying anything from Ashley. read more
