Whoever is running this company has no clue how to run a business! They sure know how to sell you furniture, they just can't follow thru and get it delivered to the customer in a timely manner. My first purchase was from their store in Nashville, but they couldn't get the bedroom set delivered by the time they promised. We needed a bed to sleep on at our apartment and they failed us. I ended up canceling the order and purchased the same bedroom set from American Freight and had it delivered the next day. I swore I would never buy anything from this company again, but my mattress at our main residence in Hattiesburg was getting old and needed to be replaced. I purchased their top of the line Sealy Posturepedic Plus on Sept. 22nd. Delivery was scheduled for October 4th, but was changed to October 16th. It shouldn't take a company 3 1/2 weeks to deliver one mattress to a customer. I'm waiting to hear from the store in Hattiesburg as to why my delivery date was changed. Needless to say, I'm on the verge of canceling the order and purchasing the mattress from another company that can actually deliver it in a timely manner. ***DO NOT USE ASHLEY HOMESTORE*** My wife and I have had nothing but trouble with this company since day 1 of our furniture order. To preface this, both of us have worked with the public all our lives, her in a pharmacy, as a Tech, and now as a nurse. I've worked in fast food, restaurants, convenience stores / gas stations, a service repair company, and now in banking. We both fully understand how difficult people can be and so we always try and be understanding when mistakes are made. I wish this was the case for Ashley Homestore. Our issues started day 1 when we went into an Ashley Homestore location to purchase a specific 3-piece sectional couch and an oversized swivel chair. Our sales rep that we worked with was young and new but we wanted to give him the sale. We told them we would be making a $300 down-payment on the order. Due to a mistake on his part, our $300 was essentially lost in limbo for a few days. B/c of this we had to wait over an hour in the store to get everything situated and we finally left with the caveat of, "if this doesn't turn up you'll have to come back in and make the payment again." Of course this would be annoying for anyone but we assured him that it was ok and that everyone makes mistakes (b/c they do). While in the store we asked if not having a specific move-in date yet for our new apt was going to be a problem, and we were assured that it wouldn't cause any issues as they could hold the order for several months if necessary. Flash forward a week and I'm now receiving an endless stream of text messages daily asking to set up my delivery to which I ignored for a few days, but I eventually called the sales rep directly and asked if we needed to go ahead and set an arbitrary date for the delivery. He asked his manager and they agreed that it would be best to set a date slightly earlier than when we thought we'd move to make sure we would receive everything on time. We originally made this order in the beginning of August, I set the delivery date for August 31st. About 5 days out from the 31st we finally got our actual move-in date, so I called a rep and had them update the delivery date to 09/13 and at no point were we informed that they didn't yet have our order. Fast forward again to this week, the week of our move, I received a call on Tuesday 09/10 informing me that my couch had not been received by their distribution center due to an error on their part. I was flustered but asked if my chair had been received and if I would still be receiving it on the delivery date, to which I was given an affirmative. After this I called the sales rep I originally dealt with and informed him of what was going on. He told me that he saw that there were 2 out of the 3 pieces of my couch in their warehouse as well as my chair and that they could get those delivered on 09/13 but that we didn't have a date yet for the 3rd piece. The next day on 09/11, I received a text message with an invoice for what would be delivered on 09/13, this invoice did not include my Oversized chair. I called the sales rep again and asked what was going on, he got with his manager who informed me that apparently my oversized chair was also delayed along with the 3rd piece of my sectional. I called their customer service rep line and asked to speak to someone in charge (which I hate doing but at this point I haven't received a single consistent answer from anyone in the company). The rep transfers me to their "escalations dept" and I am placed on hold for over an hour. I hang up and call the service reps back and informed them politely that I would like a direct line to Escalations. She works with me and gets me through to one after another 20 min of waiting, and I once again have to explain the situation to yet another person. The agent tells me she will call me back later that night, and I receive the call about 8pm. She informs me that I will be receiving 2 out of the 3 pieces of my sectional on friday and that she negotiated a $270 credit to go towards the acct for the troubles. She also confirmed that the remaining piece of the sectional and the oversized chair would be arriving in the warehouse on 09/17. This morning, 09/12 I receive yet another automatic text asking to confirm my delivery, it connects me to a service agent and I go over the confirmation with her. During this she lets it slip that we should receive a call on 09/25 to schedule our delivery of the remaining items, more inconsistent info. I would like to clarify that the individuals that have worked with me have been very nice and helpful, my issue is not with any individual employee, it is with the company as a whole. If I wouldn't have called and asked, I wouldn't be getting any of this info and no compensation for the inconvenience this is causing me and my wife. read more

We could have bought the product online and had it in less than 4 weeks. They talked us into using the store for the purchase and the same amount of time for delivery. It's been 8 weeks and no furniture. No one answers the phone or returns calls. This is why I prefer MisKellys but it was an Ashley's exclusive. Never again!! read more

Worst experience ever! We had living room furniture delivered in September, which was damaged. It is almost 5 months later and we are still fighting with them. What ever you do don't purchase a warranty on the furniture you buy from Ashley, toilet paper has more value. They will not repair your furniture and they will not honor their warranty. I wouldn't buy a foot stool from Ashley at this point. I'm very dissatisfied and I'm also disappointed that I had to give them any stars at all. One was one to many!!! read more

They got me once but never again... (1) king bed and mattress, (1) queen bed and mattress and three night stands. Was told we would have the furniture in less than a week when actual delivery was 22 days from day ordered. Had every excuse about longer delivery time but the truth that they were short handed in drivers (seen add on FB that they were in desperate need of drivers ASAP). The only good thing about the experience were the two gentlemen who delivered and assembled beds. Very professional guys who were in and out quickly. Well the first night my wife and I go to lay our head after sleeping on a couch for 22 days, we each laid on our sides of the bed and quickly rolled to the middle and like to kill the dog as the bed made some horrible loud cracking noises. After further investigation the bed has three legs and a middle section to support slats missing. So now waiting on them to arrive to install ourselves! Sales person was amazing, delivery on the other hand was HORRIBLE!!!!! Told and confirmed delivery for May 27th. Morning of May 27th was told our furniture was on back order until JUNE 20th. June 20th comes along and they can only deliver HALF of our couch. And when they delivered our bed room suite they broke the drawer building the dresser. The next thing I'm told is the rest of our couch will be delivered June 27th... HAHAHA. Not. THEN I was told one piece of my couch will arrive and be delivered the 29th and the other half will be delivered the 3rd of July. They are a complete JOKE. Paid well over $4,000 cash. Will NEVER buy from Ashley's again. I could have/should have gone to another local store and paid a little more. I wouldn't have to be dealing with this nonsense. There no excuse. Was scheduled today, 7-6-2021, to pick up furniture, my payment has been deducted but I was told to go to another location to pick the furniture up and they told me at the warehouse it was there and later said the furniture was at the home store. Of course I hired someone to deliver my furniture and was riding around. I tried calling back to the store but...they answer, transfer you and no one picks up. 9/27/2019 - We purchased a sofa from this location on August 12 and were told that it would be delivered to us by the beginning of September. They called us the first week of September to tell us it actually will not arrive until the middle of September. After that, we heard nothing from them. We started calling them and were told "it will be on its way to the store next week, expect a phone call". No phone call. We called again. "It will be here later in the week". No phone call. Finally today we were told that this sofa will not even be arriving to their warehouse until October 4, and who knows how long it will be until they deliver to us. So it will be at least 1 month later than promised. Had we known all this, there is no way we would have purchased from this store and never will again. Update: We got a phone call from the warehouse in Georgia on Sept 29 saying that the sofa could be delivered on Oct 2. It was delivered without further delay. We ordered our couch February 24th from the store in Hattiesburg and just got it in TODAY, April 2nd..(we have been sitting on the floor for a month now) just for it to be the wrong couch. I immediately called the store and was told no manager was in and he would not be back until two or three days so there was nothing anyone could do at the store.. I asked if he could call me so we could discuss options on what to do and here it is, 7PM & still no phone call. No email. No nothing. "In August of 2012, we purchased a leather (durablend) sofa, oversized chair, and ottoman from Ashley. We picked it up ourselves since the distribution center is near our home, and when we took the plastic off I immediately noticed a hole in the leather on the back of the sofa. Also, there was a piece of wood inside the sofa that had broken loose and was pushing out, about to pierce the leather. On closer inspection, I noticed that the stitching on one cushion was crooked and the leather was bunched up on a corner. The sofa and chair have wooden feet that had to be screwed on, and the stain on them was flaking off. I called the store and was referred to the distribution center. When I reported the problems, they refused to provide a replacement sofa and asked me to email pictures of the damage. They mailed me new wooden feet and a new cushion, and they ordered parts for the sofa, which they said could be repaired. I wasn't happy, but they told me I had signed something in the store saying I agreed it was up to them whether to repair or replace any defective pieces. After waiting nearly three weeks for the parts to arrive, we had to load the sofa and take it back to the delivery center. The date it was supposed to be ready came and went, so I called to get an update. I was told that the damage to the sofa was more extensive than expected, and they had to order more parts and would get back to me the next week. The technician said the interior frame of the sofa was busted. At this point it had been 7 weeks since I paid cash for the furniture, and I had no sofa. I didn't want to wait another 2-3 weeks only to get back a sofa that had a busted frame, as I can't imagine it could be repaired in such a way that we can expect it to hold up! They were very nonchalant about the level of inconvenience this ordeal caused me, and once I learned that they expected me to wait another few weeks to get back a busted sofa I blew my lid and called the store manager for the second time. I explained the entire situation and told him I thought this warranted a replacement. After talking to several people, all of whom claimed they didn't have the authority to give me a replacement, I was finally put in touch with someone with some sense. He was very polite and helpful. He said they had one of the same sofas in their warehouse and it would be delivered to me free of charge the following week. I received the new sofa today, and all I can say is Wow!!! Ashley's products really are garbage! THIS sofa has imperfections around the back of the arms where the leather isn't tucked in or stitched correctly, the cushions are lumpy and uncomfortable, and it just doesn't feel like the same sofa I tried out in the store-- or even as comfortable as the one we had the first time. It makes me wonder why this one was in the warehouse. I'm not calling anyone this time as I don't have the time or energy to deal with this. I will just sit on my piece of garbage sofa while I write negative reviews on the internet, and I will never, ever purchase another product from Ashley again." read more

great experience with purchasing couch, did pick up when we went to pick up the couch they said if we get home and anything is wrong with the couch to call within 36 hours, as soon as we got home we found a huge grease stain on the arm rest of the WHITE sectional. I immediately called them and they said I have to send a email to customer service and I did and sent pictures right after i got off the phone with them. no one has even tried to call or email me back i have sent probably 15 emails and tried calling about 30 times and no one will help me. will never but from them again. read more

I came in on Black Friday morning pretty set on getting the sofa set that I had looked at a few days earlier. Upon opening the door, I was greeted by a woman who sits behind the front desk with a smile; everything seems normal. About 10 seconds later, there was an older couple getting in and I couldn't help but noticed how fast the front-desk lady jumped up out of her chair to greet them and handed them a paper bracelet for some type of discount offerred that morning. "You don't have to wear it; just show it to us when you buy something" she said. Why didn't I get one? I wondered as I tried to come up with a logical explanation. May be it was some kind of senior citizen discount? May be she was just trying to be nice to older folks. As I tried to make sense out of the situation, several other customers came in, one by one, all different age groups. Each and every time, the lady got up to greet them and handed "ALL" of them the paper bracelet thing that I still didn't know was for. After talking to one of the associates at the store, I found out that all customers that walk into the store on Black Friday morning should be handed a paper bracelet for a discount on their purchases. Jordan (the sales associate that helped me) was incredibly nice and kind. He asked me for the bracelet when I wanted a quote for the sofa set. When I said that I was the ONLY one who wasn't handed one; he seemed pretty shocked and apologetic. I wasn't angry. I just felt incredibly sad and my heart dropped when I witnessed how all the other customers were treated so differently (the shopping scene from "Pretty Woman" immediately came to my mind). I tried to come up with any reasonable explanation I could think of but none of them made sense. Then I came to realize that I was the only "Asian" customer out of those that were there that morning. She probably thought that I couldn't afford to buy anything so she didn't care to waste any of her precious time getting out of her chair to hand me the bracelet. I ended up leaving the store sad and disappointed in not getting the sofa set I wanted but I refused to support a store that made me feel singled out and discriminated against. Ashley manager, please tell your employees to never judge a book by its cover. You shouldn't be so judgmental when it comes to sales business. Also, your front desk person is monumentally crucial to your business. They are the first people customers see and speak to, which in turn can significantly influence your sales. Although the store's furnitures are high quality without any doubt (I own several pieces that have lasted for years); I would never return to the store after this sad, disappointing and dehumanizing experience. Adam Kelly met me at the door and worked diligently with me to get the sofa I had seen online. Gave me the online price. Had gone to the store expecting to see a display model but there wasn't one (not the store's fault). He was extremely helpful. Very satisfied with the service and attention to detail. Only drawback was the slow server. Took a while but it was a holiday and the store was packed. Not their fault in re: the server(s). Have now received the sofa and it came to me fully assembled--didn't expect that. The delivery men were very courteous and were very careful in bringing it into the house. Am recommending to all.
