Zero stars. I will never, ever, ever shop at Ashley HomeStore in Lubbock again. Don't even waste your time going to look at buying anything in there bc it will take 6 months to a year to get it- if you ever do. The management is even worse than the 6 months (so far) that it has taken to get a bed that we paid for in full already. The managers like when you bring your kids in and they can get them all excited about their bed that will be coming in September, October, then November, or December and now maybe, just maybe ....February. If I hear the phrase, "unfortunately ma'am, we can't do anything about it"- I'm going to lose my mind. Calling corporate doesn't help either. They gave me another random date (January 5th) and now say they have no record of ever saying that. Yelp and Google reviews will receive a good chunk of my time today and I am happy to give it, after this experience. The female manager is the one who told us December 29th and now acts like she has no idea what I'm talking about. WE SHOULD RECEIVE A DISCOUNT OF SOME SORT BC OF THIS. My husband and I went to Ashley's Home Store to purchase a tri-fold sleeping pad that I had seen online at Ashley's. When we arrived at the store the fragrance was so strong that I had to turn around and leave the store. My husband was met by a sales representative and my husband told the representative about the tri-fold that I had found online and if the store had any available. The representative told my husband to double check the online ad instead of answering my husband's question. My husband said that he (the representative) didn't answer his question, "do you have it in the store?" The representatives reply was to open the store door and to tell my husband to, "have a good evening." How is this good customer service? We will never shop at Ashley's Home Store ever again and will tell our friends and family to avoid shopping at Ashley's as well. read more

Do not buy from Ashley's Furniture!! We paid for our couch in full In the beginning of may, was told it would arrive at the end of may "due to COVID". However if you read their reviews, this has been happening long before COVID. We were then told it would arrive 2 weeks into June. 2 weeks into June arrives and our table finally comes in and they tell us "what couch?" ‍‍‍‍ After many calls they say "Expect it July 24th," then they said "it should arrive "July 6th" I called again and now we aren't supposed to get it until THE END OF AUGUST WTF!!! Oh and that's not a guarantee date. It's an ESTIMATE. It's extremely infuriating. Because at the warehouse they are ready to just make a sale, and lied to you about your estimated arrival date and then you don't get nothing for months at a time and you won't get any calls you have to call and try and bug somebody to give you some real information. Expect to wait MONTHS before you get your furniture. Also when we got our table in, the guys who delivered it took one look at the bag of tools *WITHOUT OPENING IT* and said oh this is the wrong hardware they actually sent you the wrong hardware so we're gonna have to ask for some new hardware for them to ship it to you. He said, You can either refuse it and we will just give it to the next person waiting for a table like this or you can just wait for hardware. So we said we will just wait for hardware. It took WEEKS to get this supposal "correct hardware". So come 2 weeks into June when they drop off the rest of our chairs that come with the table we purchased; they were also supposed to deliver the other half to our sectional and they said "what couch?" They looked at the hardware that got delivered and said "I have no idea what this is for but it doesn't go to your table, let me call the warehouse to see if they can get the original hardware to you today. I don't know why the other guy said the original hardware was wrong" He came back later on and They set up the table with the hardware that was actually supposed to be done the first time and when I saw the bag (THE SAME BAG THE TOOLS WERE IN THE FIRST TIME) I told him that was what it came with the first time they brought our table. He said "yeah i don't know why he said it wasn't the correct hardware because it is". Fast forward to us still dealing with missing the other half to our sectional I mentioned earlier. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY'S FURITURE in Lubbock, TX I purchase an End table and 2 night stands on 7/12/2020 and paid in full. Delivery was to be in August. The salesman called 1st of August and said it would be in at the end of August. End of August no call and no furniture. On September 20th I visited the store in Lubbock to find out when my furniture would be in. They had not clue when it was to delivered and the salesman didn't work there anymore. I told them I wanted a refund and was told I had to call Customer Service that the store could not do that. Finally on 11/2 and after 1 hr 12 minutes on hold I finally spoke with Customer Service - Oh your furniture is here and we can delivery it Thursday. I informed the CSR after 113 days I no longer wanted the furniture and that I wanted a refund. She said I will have to submit the refund request to be review and I should hear something in 3 to 5 days from Customer Service. read more

Do not buy from Ashley HomeStore!!! We paid for a couch back in July, and it still has not arrived. Apparently, this is an issue for many, many other people and I really wish I would have known to avoid this place. I can't reach anyone in customer service who isn't a bot (literally, no humans), and when I finally got in contact with the salesperson, he said that he would call back later. No surprise, he never did. Multiple, multiple attempts to get answers, all while payments are still due. This company is absolutely terrible and they are just after your money. read more

I called back and was on hold for at least 45 minutes then they told me it would not be here until the end of November. I was also told I would not receive a bill until after delivery. I received a bill 2 months before the supposedly delivery date, also I was informed by an ex employee that they will tell you at the store that their customer service is not on site but it is upstairs. I will be cancelling this order. I have not received it and I have not paid anything on it. I will refuse it if they try to deliver. I will not sign for any delivery. I rate this store a negative. Lubbock, TX: This has been the WORST experience we have ever had with purchasing ANYTHING. We bought a sectional and ottoman mid Dec 2020. Here is is March 2021 and we still do not have our full couch. The delivery truck showed up randomly early February with 1/2 our couch. The driver said he didn't have anything else on the truck for us. We have gone into the Ashley Lubbock store once a week since then and can never get an answer. No one seems to have any information on our order. They always tells us, "It was not on this week's truck. Maybe it will show up next week." This is no way to conduct service. I wonder if they would turn things around if they did not collect $ prior to delivering the full product. We will NEVER purchase from them again. read more

I would say that customers satisfaction does not come first. I purchased an end table. One that they said I could take home with me that day. What they didn't tell me is I had to go somewhere else and pick it up. So, comes to find out AFTER I pay for the table they don't even have it in sock. I asked for my money back and they said they would have to mail it to me. I argued with them for an hour. Finally, they called the owner who did not live in Lubbock. If I could give 0 stars I would.. My wife and I were excited to buy some new couches and a coffee table from Ashley's furniture on January 11th. We were told they were in stock and should be delivered in 2-6 weeks.(were told would be closer to 2-3) Also we were told to call around the 2-3 week mark if we hadn't heard anything. The three week mark came by so we decided to call. We were informed that those couches had now been discontinued and wouldn't even be first available till mid March after new couches were made. So considering we had already sold our old couches we decided to go in for a "re-select". We found new couches we wanted and made sure they were readily available. Our saleswomen told us they had them and would be able to get them to us the next week. We kept the same Coffee table as we felt we could wait on that piece. Two weeks later we still haven't received a phone call to schedule a drop off day. I call them to ask where we were at. I was then told they had them in the warehouse for over a week but didn't call because the coffee table hadn't come in yet. I explain again that we are without couches and had been told the couches would come in ASAP. She then proceeds to make arrangements for them to be delivered the following Monday. I take off work Monday(Today) and wait, and wait. Five O'clock rolls around so I decided to call. I'm told that they can see I had called them the previous week about making a drop off today but "something must have glitched out" and it wasn't put on the schedule. I tell the lady on the phone that I know it's not her fault and asked where do we go from here. (She didn't seem to care one bit, just gave a very unconcerned "sorry") She informs me that the next time they will be available to deliver is Friday. This is where I started to become irritated. I explained that it was ridiculous that it couldn't be delivered earlier than that considering they had already wasted an entire work day for me and had already scheduled me for today. Again I get "sorry" then she says "alright, so I'll put you down for Friday." As if she was about to hang up the phone before I can say if that even works for our schedule. At this point I ask if I can talk with a supervisor. I am transferred to a supervisor for the corporate office. She answers the phone with a terrible tone, stated her name and title then said nothing or asked anything. Not a "how may I help you" or anything. I finally just begin going over the story with her. As soon as I was done I got the short response "sorry". When I asked if there was any way to get the couches earlier due to all the hishaps she explains that she can not. At this point I'm getting irate with how little care was being given. So she decided to tell me she can deliver them on Saturday if that better than Friday. I questioned her if this is really how Corporate treats situations and of course she says "yes". I asked if there was a way to refund it all (close to $5000) as I don't wish to do business with a company with this little customer care. Nope, can't do that. She ends with setting the appointment on Friday. I will actively tell people the rest of my life to not use Ashley furniture due to their lack of customer care. Hopefully I don't have to amend this review Friday... or next month when the coffee table comes in. read more

We purchased a room of furniture through Ashley a few days after labor day. The salesman told us that he would call us that Monday with shipping information. We haven't heard from him since the night of purchase. That following Wednesday we called and were told it would be in the warehouse on Oct 8th and to call in to set an appointment. Upon calling today, we found out that the eta for the furniture has changed to 30 days out (Nov 11). Why couldn't they call and tell us?! When I asked about a refund, I was informed that there was a 25% restocking fee....for furniture that we don't even have....and then the remaining 75% would be store credit! What the actual what?! I finally got a hold of someone in customer service and now they tell me it will be 23-25 more weeks. I tried to cancel, but of course they can't do it over the phone, so I'm headed to the store today after work. DO NOT waste your time with this company! We went to another store in Lubbock and ordered furniture and what do you know, it's already been delivered! I had always ordered from Ashley's, and had never had problems until this time and I'm not willing to be strung along week after week month after month and their HORRIBLE customer service. If I could give 0 stars I would. We ordered a full king bedroom set at the end of May 2021. We were offered a significant discount if we would be willing to wait 4-6 weeks for our furniture. We found the EXACT same set at Eddins furniture, but decided to go with Ashley due to the discount. Worst mistake ever. After 2 months we decided to cancel our order due to our order still not being in..Of course the "system changed" the day after we tried to cancel, so our money couldn't be put back on the card we used..we had to wait 3 weeks for a mailed check. When the check came in we were shorted $571. I had to personally drive to the storefront over 8+ times to deal with our cancellation order and try to find the rest of our money. They kept telling me our dresser was "delivered", but had no proof of an address, who delivered it, who signed off, etc. because it. DID NOT happen. Mind you, it's now October 2021. After talking to every manager in the store often enough to know them each by name, we finally got word (of course only because I drove to the store to check, not because the customer service called me..) that another check was on the way. Ready for the punch line? We STILL were shorted $11?! This store is a joke, and the employees need some education in customer service. During many of my trips there, I saw salesmen putting each other in headlocks, salesmen shooting staples at each other, and rude commentary. I understand shipping delays are part of our life these days, but the lack of communication and continued false promises are not okay. I will not be a returning customer, and I would NOT recommend Ashley Furniture. *Side note: we bought the exact same set at Eddins furniture on a Tuesday and had it delivered and assembled, by that Saturday! Believe the negative reviews here... I wish I had seen them before we ordered our living room set a few weeks ago. We are new to Lubbock but thought we went in as informed, careful buyers who were prepared for the usual sales tactics. They will tell you ANYTHING to make the sale, and then you'll find out about all the lies and misleading tactics/paperwork. If you see their price-matching offer on a sign, they'll do you a "special favor" and match it IF you do the financing option instead of cash up front. Guess what? "Financing" means you're gonna get a credit card in the mail 10 days later. Go in to complain about predatory tactics, and point out that the finance application doesn't say "CREDIT CARD" anywhere, and they'll immediately show you a scan of your signature on the one document that quietly mentions the Ashley Home Card in small font buried mid-page. Another customer at the store today overheard my complaint and leaned in to tell me sadly, "The exact same thing happened to me" as she was walking out of the store. Tell them you want to know where your furniture is, since it's too late to undo this mess, and they'll tell you they don't have any information. That it's "estimated" to get in next week, but they won't get any updates until 48 hours before it arrives in their warehouse. Forget about estimating an actual delivery date. It's been two weeks for us and after reading all these reviews, now I'm just hoping we'll get our items intact and undamaged sometime this SUMMER. No apologies, no assistance, no offers to make anything better in ANY way. I'm absolutely NEVER shopping there again, and I'm planning to report them to the BBB right after this Yelp review. I created this account specifically for this review. ZERO STARS for the horrible service and horrible company... Bought a bed set {headboard, footboard, support panels, tall dresser, chest & 2 nightstands} back in September of 2019 and was told that they would hold it for up to a year since my spouse and I weren't sure when or where we'd be settling down {we had been travelling for his job}. Was told THAT DAY that whenever we were ready, to give them a 3 week notice so they could get all of the parts together and have it ready. We call them 4 weeks ahead of time... you think one month would give a million dollar company time to get their shit together, but sadly, no. Originally they said they COULDN'T have all the pieces together by then but after myself and my spouse throwing a fit, they soon changed their answer to "oh yes, yes we will have it all by then!" I should also mention that they never once asked for an address or delivery date, just agreed to everything once a voice was raised. I've had a bad experience with them in the past, but my spouse was able to convince me to give them a second chance, so with that experience in the back of my mind, I would call them twice a week to make sure that they were still delivering it on the date we needed and forced them to take our address and date of move in. EVERY TIME ON THE PHONE WE WERE PROMISED THEY HAD IT READY FOR US TO MOVE AND WOULD BE THERE THAT DAY... Shockingly, we get a call today saying they wouldn't have the pieces ready until the end of the month {2 weeks after the original delivery date} which makes it a SIX WEEK time table. They are complete and total liars, every single one of them. Any time we contacted them,they lied directly to us and knew it. The horrible woman on the other end of the phone was so rude and unprofessional about the whole situation on top of everything. I never thought that after spending $1,500+ on someone's product that they'd be calling to tell us we have to sleep on the floor for 2 weeks because they are such a shitty company. Millions of dollars might by good enough advertising to trick the public, along with myself into buying their product, but I hope that everyone realizes what a horrible and completely incompetent company this is. I have never been more annoyed, pissed off, shocked, etc. than I am with this experience with Ashley Furniture and I hope people take the time to look at their reviews, because that would've saved me a lot of time and money that I've wasted on this shit bag establishment. We were told the couch and loveseat that were ordered Black Friday 2020 would be shipped to their warehouse within 6 weeks. After waiting patiently for 6 weeks I called to check the status of the order. The woman I spoke with sounded annoyed and was very rude. At first she claimed there had been no order placed. After I persisted she "found the order" and said my items would not be in until the second week of February with no apology. She proceeded to place me on a 55 minute hold that never got answered. I worked for this company almost a year at the Lubbock tx location. I worked at the HomeStore and warehouse facility. management is very uncommunicative at both locations. working at the home store wasn't terrible but they definitely push sales to get the most money out of each customer or their let go. on their clearance items they mark up the original price then add the clearance discount which only bring it back to the original price of the furniture. which is a real scam if you ask me. Working out of the warehouse you work with nothing but halfway house members. there is drugs being used on site during breaks and lunches. the on site manager is never on time to work & is impossible to find during the day. there dispatch customer service center is always ordering the incorrect parts for broken furniture & arguing with customers about replacement. proper tools for the job are not provided by the company and all the vehicles were breaking down, not up to date on inspection & trashed out by other co workers. Pay raises are promised but not delivered. & every customer out of the 100's of service calls I completed. 99% of the customers said they would never buy from Ashley's again. this company scams people with high pricing for cheap furniture made out of mostly particle board. The promise a warranty but fail to actually get your furniture fixed in most cases. Terribly managed & a company that should be shut down. I do not recommend buying furniture or working for this company. especially anywhere in the west Texas region. read more

If you want to deal with months of the run-around ending with a delivery man who handles roadkill with his bare hands just before carrying your furniture into your house, by all means buy from Ashley HomeStore... Today is January 13th. We finally received the last piece of furniture we ordered from them on JUNE 18TH! That is 7 months. We were told the bedroom furniture we ordered would be delivered in 4-6 weeks. After six weeks we called and were told it would be another month. After numerous calls to their customer service line and our local Lubbock store, we were told it would be another THREE MONTHS, and they couldn't guarantee it would even be delivered by then. I understand delays are happening right now, but I wish we had been given this delivery information up front. My daughter has been sleeping on the floor, surrounded by stacked boxes, for months. When our furniture finally came in, at THE END OF DECEMBER, we had to go back and forth with the delivery department several times about how, when, and where they would deliver our furniture. They kept "messing up" the address...REALLY?! (How hard is it to drive to an address THAT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY ASHLEY MULTIPLE TIMES and drop off furniture?!) And to top it off, when the delivery driver finally pulled up to our house, he got out, PICKED UP A DEAD SQUIRREL FROM THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, held it up for his partner to get a pic with his phone, and then proceeded to walk up to my front door. He then TOUCHED MY FRONT DOOR and then ASKED TO USE MY RESTROOM. When I told him no he went to the truck, used his DEAD SQUIRREL HANDS TO TOUCH OUR FURNITURE AND BROUGHT IT INSIDE MY HOUSE. I just had him put it in the living room and had him leave ASAP. Then I got out the Lysol. I have NEVER in my life dealt with a company that was as unprofessional as this one, from the sales people to the managers to their national customer service to their delivery drivers. If I could post a review w/o leaving a star, I would. There's no way they deserve a star! If their mouth is moving, they are lying. You can talk to several "managers" while you shop and they are so nice and will tell you anything. If you go back the day your furniture finally arrives weeks later, those same "managers" are not who you need to talk to. We were told we could return anything we weren't happy with, no charge. Our fault not reading the back of the paper we signed. Although our sofa arrived with a hole in the back. Waited an extra few weeks for that to be repaired! Still told we could not return anything, even though it says we have to pay 1/4 of the cost to restock it. So they won't take it back and that's the part I don't understand! The furniture just didn't look good in our living room. We wanted to buy a more expensive set, but they still wouldn't take it back. It was just one big lie after another. We paid cash 12/29, expected delivery in a week or 2. Received it in Feb. with a hole, fixed this week. Go to Lazy Boy!! If anyone needs a new living room set, holler! :) read more

First visit into the store I found furniture I liked. Am not one to purchase on same day so came back a few days later. Had seen online the price was CONSIDERABLY lower. When I asked in store if they could price match the online prices, it was like pulling teeth to get an agreement to that. Delivery was fast, week and a half!
