My husband, and I went to Ashley Furniture to look for a bed. We tried a Tempurpedic. It seemed comfortable but, a ten minute tryout in a store display isn't the same as sleeping on one every night. Because of back, neck, migraines and body pain, we specifically asked several times if there was a trial period and return policy. We were told by Dani, the salesgirl, that we would have to sleep on the bed for 30 nights and that we had 90 days to decide whether we wanted to keep it or not. $10,000 plus dollars is a huge amount to pay for a bed without a return policy When we purchased the bed we were told the payment would be $144.00 per month and we wouldn't get a bill for 90 days. The bed was delivered Nov 5, 2021. We received a bill 1 day after delivery from the secondary finance company for $188.20.There was also the primary that would be an additional $144.00. For a total of over $320.00 per month. At that time we told them that was way too much and that we wanted to cancel the sale of the bed. We were told by Dani, the Accounts manager and and office lady that they couldn't do anything for 30 days, and 90 days to return it. Dani said she needed to talk to her manager about our concerns about the secondary financing. We told her that the $320 was not in our budget and if they couldn't get the amount of our monthly payment back down to a combined total of around the initial $144, that this sale needed to be canceled. We told them between the bed not being comfortable and them not being clear about the secondary loan payment that we were extremely unhappy with the sale and that we wanted to cancel the transaction. We repeatedly said that we wanted to cancel the sale. We were still under the understanding that we were still within the time frame to return everything. We went in a second time and spoke to a man in the office. We had gotten another notice from the secondary finance company. Dani and the office guy both said she would have to talk to the store manager about cancelation or refinance into one bill. We told her unless it was back to $144.00 per month we cannot do the over $300 a month and that we would cancel. Again we were told that we had to wait 30 days. We went back into the store on Sunday Dec 5th with a letter of cancelation. We talked to Dani and told her we were done with it, it had been 30 days, and we wanted to cancel the sale. She said that she couldn't do that herself and that her store manager, Zak, would have to be the one to talk too. Never at any point did anyone say that we could not cancel the sale until Zak spoke to us and said that the store did not take returns and we needed to read the fine print on the back of our receipt. He said that he would have to escalate the situation to corporate and get back to us. Zak called on Mon Dec 6th and said that he escalated it to corporate that they went over the paperwork and that because of their policy they would not cancel the sale. I told Zak I knew of someone that they had done a return for under similar circumstances.He said he didn't know of one and he did all of the returns. That raised a question because he said they don't have a return policy. One of the selling points was that a split king isn't supposed to have a gap. But, we are constantly moving it to fix the gap. We are very unhappy. We will never shop at Ashley again and will never recommend them. We are in worse pain than before. It's just not the bed for us. We would never have purchased this without a return policy. We have issued complaints with the States Attorney, Ashley Corporate and we feel they are misrepresenting TempurPedic. So we issued a complaint with TempurPedic also. read more

THIS IS A LONG, SLIGHTLY ANGRY REVIEW/POST..I AM SO MAD I EVEN HAVE TO RATE THEM A SINGLE STAR! I never, EVER do this..but I am HUGE ON CUSTOMER SERVICE, and this has hands down been the worst customer service I've ever, EVER received. So, if you think its tacky of me, or in poor taste, keep it moving‍ At this point I feel I absolutely MUST. I want to warn every single person I know about my experience with Ashley Furniture. I had purchased an item online, and it was delivered on the 17th of December, decided I did not want this item, called the very next day which was within their 72 hour window of returns. Was on hold for an hour, told someone would contact me within 48 hours, no one did. I called back the next day, was on hold for 45 minutes, told a pickup was never arranged, and that she would have someone contact me within 48 hours to arrange pickup, and that she would personally follow up with me to make sure that this actually happened. NEITHER of those things happened. I have had constant emailing back and forth up until today, with each person I talked to telling me they would arrange pickup, and NONE of them ever arranged this. I call this morning, was on hold for an hour, pawned off to 4 different people, 2 of which told me they were so sorry, and that sometimes management doesn't like to take returns back and will delay the process, THAT CAME FROM THEIR OWN EMPLOYEES MOUTHS!! That the online store, the physical local stores, the company that arranges pickup, as well as the company that actually picks up returns, are all independent, and not affiliated with one another so all of their hands are tied..Also, I might add that the local store here off of Fairview and Eagle Road DOESNT EVEN HAVE A PHONE NUMBER!! YOU CANT EVEN CALL THEM... Its just the basic 1-800 number for all stores. SHADY. I finally get connected to a 5th person, a supervisor, only to then be told that I am past the 72 hours window and they will not be accepting my item back for a return. At this point, im so incredibly frustrated, I actually have NO WORDS. After hanging up the phone, and looking into this, I found tons of online reviews with the same issues, and well as several law suits, and scathing YouTube reviews of the very same issue. SO, if this can save even just one person this incredible amount of frustration, then COOL, THATS SUUUUUUUUUPER DUPER. This is my first and only time dealing with Ashley Furniture and I will NEVER again. I've purchase from Ashley before, so I know I'm not buying top of the line, but it is decent furniture. We found a couch that fit our needs and likes. The looking around and choosing was easy. No pressure from the salesman, Ryan. The purchasing part took about an hour and a half! A lot of sitting around waiting on financing paperwork, and them trying to get us to spend more money, etc. (Later, when going through the folder of paperwork I realized there were NO copies of the financing papers.) Wanted to set up a delivery and was shocked to be told it would be a $130 charge. They don't have their own delivery people, and contract local companies. Decided to get it ourselves from the warehouse (just 4 miles from our house). However, we couldn't find anyone available to help us during the warehouse's hours. Gave up and had it delivered. I was told "Friday". When I hadn't heard anything by Friday morning, about a delivery time, I called. The gal who answered at the warehouse needs some training on how to be professional. Later, we called back to give some directions for the delivery guys. Our place is hard to find. The warehouse gal was again less than intelligent sounding, but said she'd pass on the directions. The delivery guys were on time and AWESOME. (Zach and ??) DESPITE having to wander around our condo community trying to find us. They were never given the directions. A few days later, what I thought were the financing papers arrived in the mail. NOPE! It was our new CREDIT CARD related to the company that does Ashley's financing. I cut it up. It's been two weeks since we bought the couch, one week since it was delivered, and I still haven't been given a copy of the purchase paperwork. Love the couch though. read more

Avoid Ashley Furniture - A Nightmare Experience I regret ever shopping at Ashley Furniture. If you want quality service, go to RC Willey instead. I purchased a $5,000 bedroom set from the Meridian store on 12/30/24, including a pricey warranty and delivery. The first delivery (1/10) was a disaster--rude subcontractors refused to bring my bed frame upstairs properly, argued with me, and ultimately failed. I was ready to cancel, but the store manager, Mike, apologized and promised a $400 refund plus a new delivery team. The second delivery (1/17) by actual Ashley employees was flawless--they got everything upstairs in 45 minutes with no issues. However, my $400 refund never came, and when my backordered chest of drawers was set to arrive (2/8), I realized Mike had ghosted me. After multiple ignored messages, I decided to cancel the remaining order and request my refund ($800 total). Despite confirming my cancellation, Ashley still sent the same rude subcontractors to deliver the chest. I refused it, and the warehouse acted like they had no record of my cancellation. Now, I'm stuck waiting for my refund, unsure if I'll ever get it. Bottom line: Terrible customer service, incompetent delivery teams, and empty refund promises. Skip Ashley Furniture. read more

I could not be more disappointed about purchasing at this store. December 15 of last year I bought just a couch with Chase and ottoman. I paid in full that day. I was first told that it would be delivered on January 14, then I received a voicemail stating that my sales woman had put in the order wrong, and that the delivery date was now January 24. I did confirm the appointment via a voicemail and by following the prompts in the email it was to be delivered between 3 and 6 PM. They never showed up!!!!! Someone from Ashley did try to contact me on the 23rd, however the call was immediately dropped, and they never made an attempt to contact me again. Today I was told by the person who sold me the item that it looks like I hung up on them. Suggesting that me the customer was directly causing the delays. Right, like I would be purposely delaying The product I spent $1800 on in cash. Absolutely redicu Please save yourself these unnecessary delays, only to have them blame you as the problem. Choose to buy your furniture somewhere else. I was contacted by management today and am pleasantly surprised with the generous offer. I appreciate there efforts. Maybe best just to choose in stock items. But I will recommend them. read more

My wife and I tend to split most of our furniture purchases between Ashley Furniture and another major retailer in the Treasure Valley. We failed miserably on our quest for a new sectional at the other retailer and went home. Sitting in our living room, quite frustrated, we started to look at Ashley's inventory online; then we saw the prices - AMAZING! We called the store an hour before closing and asked about prices only to learn that they are likely better in the store. How is that possible, but they were!!! We arrived about 45 minutes prior to closing and met Otto who was incredible. While he was new to the industry, his knowledge of the Ashley product line was amazing. He didn't make us feel rushed or forced to make a decision or to hurry up because the store was closing. Needless to say, we bought from Ashley largely because of Otto and his no pressure, yet highly knowledgeable approach to sales. He didn't bat an eye when we started moving cushions and pillows around the store to make sure we were getting the look we wanted. Way to go Ashley! Way to go Otto! read more

Don't buy Montage Furniture Service!! This stores sales associate totally lied:( so sad. Lisa told me, "you buy this plan, this company will come to your house and clean your couch anytime of the year and there is no limit." It kind-of sounded too good to be true I feel stupid that I got suckered into this:( but I really trusted the company Ashley Homestore. I paid $100 for this service 2 years ago. (It's a 5 year protection plan) but when I finally need to make a claim it's only been two years I called there are SO many restrictions!! There is a time limit which you have to notice the spot and call them. I cannot be the whole couch, has to be on a certain area...anyway I was too late?? They offered for me to go on a different website and order a $20 cleaning kit. Really. Why did I pay $100? Can't you just send me a $20 kit for free? read more

I had purchased a powered sectional set from an Ashley's in another state in 2013. It suffered a horrific death by Chihuahua, the little demon ate the power cord clear to the frame. I went into the Meridian Idaho store on the off chance that they might be able to order me replacement parts. I was met by the store manager Joe Perez who took the remnants of the power cord and returned in minutes with a completely new set up! That my friends is customer service! Since we were there the wife started wandering the store, Joe simply said if there's anything you like or have questions just come get me when you need me, other than that just enjoy yourself while you are here. Needless to say with the comfort and no pressure mode of operation there I will be going back to see Joe to outfit a couple of rooms for the grandkids. read more

Because of Sales Associates Christian and Carlos, my experience at Ashley's in Meridian, Idaho, was "over the top." About October 1,2017, my wife and I visited the store two times for help ordering power recliners. We saw the recliners we wanted and needed to have them shipped to our house in Mexico Knowing they would not get a commission of the sale, Christian and Carlos continued to help us find a store in Mexico and called for us to Ashley in Mexico to "pave the way" so we could order the recliners. Thanks to these two friendly and very helpful men, we have ordered and should have delivery when we arrive next month. We also found the other employees and the manager to be very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this Boise/Meridian store to anyone. read more

What an awful place. My wife and I went to look for a bed for our son. The way they set things up they have an "expert" in a freaking lab coat, as if that's needed to sell a mattress, follow us around and hound us into a 500$ deluxe memory foam mattress for a four year old that weighs 35 pounds. When I laughed and said no, he then proceeds to ask if my parents had gotten me a good mattress as a kid and if they perhaps regretted not doing so. Called them to complain four times and then they said to ship it out. Never did. Our payment got to collect fee because they said we didn't have to pay untill we get all our parts. We had a great experience at Ashley Furniture. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and the delivery team were very nice neat and clean. The showroom had lots of options to choose from. There was a little problem with the delivery, as the furniture was dropped and broke. But they remedied it .
