I wish I could give this store zero stars! By far the worst experience ever purchasing furniture (or anything else for that matter). People were nice and friendly before the purchase and as soon as they got our money, they were done with us. We had a serious issue with a bedroom set we bought, and they refuse to make it right. They tell you after you have paid that there are no changes or returns. If they had told us that before we paid it would have been a deal breaker because we were buying a mattress and bedroom set. I went to Ashley Furniture Home Store to purchase a new living room set. I spent 6+ hours inside the store working with multiple sales reps. Roughly 4 hours of that process was spent working with a finance rep on my finance agreement. The agreement as portrayed to me was that it was a 3 month 0% interest finance agreement and after the agreement if not paid in full there would be a 30% barreling interest on payments until the value was paid off. With that in mind I was prepared to pay off the total amount in full by the 4th month. Today on the last day of the 3 month agreement at 7:30 at night I get a call informing me that my remaining payment was going to skyrocket an extra $300+ as of tomorrow as well as 30% of my future payments would go towards a leasing fee. I explained to them the information that was disclosed to me by their finance manager and their only response was, "i am sorry you were informed with incorrect information but you signed the paper, you can pay off the remaining amount or give back the furnature. However we do not give refunds." Overall shady business, shady employees. I knew from the beginning I should have purchased online. The prices are cheaper there anyways but I voiced my opinion to them that I prefer to buy local and help the local community rather than directly benefit corporate. On Nov 23, 2019 bought couch and loveseat . The store scheduled delivery if furniture for 11/25/19. I stayed home all day waiting for for my delivery. No delivery came and no phone call. On 11/26/19, i called customer service and spoke with William. Could not tell me why they did not deliver my furniture but rescheduled for Friday 11/29/19. That morning I called Ashley and spoke to Brandon who informed me i was NOT on their delivery schedule and told him William had rescheduled delivery for today. He apologized but said couch was back ordered and he could schedule delivery for monday 12/1/19. I asked to speak to speak to manager and Brandon said "I'll send an email to the store and have the manager call you today." I gave Brandon my cell number to have the manager call me. ---SURPRISE, i have not received any call from anyone at Ashley Furniture. I wish I had read the reviews before I bought. I see some are happy with their purchases, I may be, but only hal my order was delivered. the bigger issue is, it's our bed, we got confirmation that it would be delivered on the 29th, so on the 28th, I roun up some help to load out our old bed and frame. we were ready, our truck shows up, couple of nine guys pack in the new frame and assem it, since it's a electric bed they showed us how to use it. cool, now go a head a get the mattress out of the truck and we'll be good. the looks on their faces, no mattress? I thought they were joking, but no mattress.we've been on Ashley's customer support lone, still no bed. Finally got to talk to a store employee and he actually blamed us for getting rid of our old bed, really. we were told to have the bed removed and the space ready for the new bed. Purchased a sectional 11/17. Due to the holiday, delivery was scheduled 11/30. 1 piece of the sectional was wrong color/fabric. We were told it was "picked" incorrectly. Policy was 48 hour manifest hold before correct piece could be sourced or refunded. Calls to the local store were unsuccessful because of calls being routed through horrible customer call center. Waiting on hold 22 minutes the time I kept track. Going on 72 hours, still no refund or update on locating the correct piece. I had several options for furniture at this price point and I chose Ashley because of their Hope to Dream campaign that donates mattresses to children in need. When I arrived and met Patty, I immediately told her how overwhelmed I get in stores like this. Patty was calm, kind and professional. She found solutions for my design needs and never pressured me or tried to upsell me. I was treated well from when I was simply "browsing" through the entire process. The store manager, Don, introduced himself and was very positive and upbeat about the company's commitment to community involvement. The sales people are fine. The delivery company is the worst ever. It's been two months and I'm still waiting to get my furniture. They dropped me off the delivery date without notification and gave my furniture to somebody else. Then told me it was backordered for another month. The store manager set it up so I would get each piece delivered when it was available but the delivery company decided to consolidate my delivery without notifying me and put me out another two weeks on a date I told them I wasn't available. They say they're getting a new delivery company but this has been the worst experience I've ever had with a large purchase. UPDATE: My two cats developed a skin reaction to this furniture and their fur started falling out! I could smell the varnish as soon as they delivered it. Absolute garbage. read more

This review is for an online purchase and not an in-store purchase. If there was a way to purely review online purchases and not tag a store I would because my dissatisfaction is not tied to the store or it's employees. I oredered a couch back at the end of May. My first delivery date was at the end of June. Which was rescheduled for the next week. No big deal. Since then they have called me and rescheduled 5 different times. Each time they call me a week before an expected delivery and set up a delivery date only to call me the day before to reschedule because it didn't arrive in thier warehouse. Every time they would do this I would make arrangements to be home and request time off of work only to find I did it all in vain. At this point I am not even mad I find the situation hysterical. I no longer have any faith in this company and I honestly don't know if my couch is ever gonna arrive at all. I work retail so I understand the shortage of stock right now and honestly it's not the end of world to have to wait for a piece of furniture. My biggest compliant is the constant phone calls promising me an item they don't have on hand. Their freight system is severly flawed. I don't understand why they don't contact thier customers after and item arrive at thier warehouse and not before. They are only making themselves look incredibly incompetent by doing it the other way. The only reason I am writing this review is to discourage all those people who are thinking of ordering an item from them online. Take my advice and shop in the store. read more

ashley furniture is a disgrace!!! we bought a dinette set that was on sale but little did we know we're getting a used table that had already been returned by someone. we showed the delivery office (an hour after table was delivered) pictures of table where paint was worn off and table top had a lousy attempt of being repaired before being sold as a new product, and she said "sometimes delivery guys load a piece already assembled (returned) to save time"....its over a month now and we still dont have what we paid for and this is after being lied to and hung up on multiple times to try to get them to send us a new table, not a used one. unbelievable shadey company!! read more

UPDATE: After 5 months, involving the BBB and the Attorney Generals office, I finally have some answers (but no refund yet!). No one from the store ever called me (after being promised update calls more than 4 times). On the 12th visit (10 weeks later) to the store they finally conceding that the item I purchased was discontinued, it was not and never will be shipped to me. But it is still on their sales floor, available for purchase! One of their associates (while the manager was away, looking for something) 'Ash', sidled his way up to me and asked if he knew me from somewhere. I told him no. And he went away and came back with his personal phone number on a card, asked me if I believed in God and said that God would bring us together again. DISGUSTING behavior, Ashley is okay with their staff hitting on customers? They offered me (after 10 weeks) a refund. Or the floor model, IF I signed a contract for no returns, refunds or exchanges and accept any damage to the item (with a whooping 5% off for my hassle!). I requested a refund, which they informed me would come in the mail in 2-3 weeks (ha!). Two-three weeks came and went with no refund. The BBB (who has been dealing the corporate Ashley Furniture) contacted me, asking if I would like to close my complaint, to which I responded 'No, not until I have my refund'. Yesterday I received a call from one of their employees at corporate Ashley's, she left a message that they had received my rejection through the BBB and they had NO record of my refund. So no refund was pending. I called her back immediately (literally 2 minutes after she left a voicemail). She left me the phone number for the entire Ashley chain (with options like 'for payroll press 3' and 'for H&R press 7') but no extension number so I was bounced around and put on hold as they try and figure out who called me. They finally found the person who called and conveniently she already left work and was the only person able to handle my issue. So I left a message and was told she will call me back. No phone call back (surprise!). She did contact me through the BBB this morning (again, no phone call!) and let me know they had found my refund (finally!) and would forward it to accounting. Almost 5 months, lies, broken promises and terrible customer service and they are STILL holding my money hostage! read more

We were drawn to the Ashley Store by their ad campaign, which featured good prices and several years no-interest financing. We ended up buying more than $12,000 worth of furniture. You should think that we should be treated well. Um, no! The minute we signed the final purchase papers, we were no longer important to them. SO NOT WORTH ANY SAVINGS!!! These guys are shysters, liars and thieves. Don't take them at their word: get everything in writing. Oh, and the satisfaction guarantee on their mattreseses means that you have to sleep on the mattress you've purchased for at least thirty days (no matter how uncomfortable it may be! ), then go and choose a new mattress... But do so CAREFULLY, because you only get one shot at this. Plus there's a restocking fee, a delivery fee, and the difference in price you'll have to pay. I was almost scared away from purchasing a sectional from Ashley Furniture because of the terrible reviews on Yelp, but I am so glad that I wasn't. I purchased a sectional and received a price lower than listed on the website. Of course there is a charge for delivery (standard for any furniture) but the delivery process was seamless and we received our couch in less than a week. Pushy and extremely aggressive. A couple of months ago when my husband and I were in the process of buying a house we went into the store to look at furniture for our house. We explained right away that until we closed we couldn't buy anything or apply for financing. The salesman didn't want to take no for an answer and said "well sometimes banks will make exceptions if you're close to closing. When was the last time you spoke to your lender?" I had just spoken to them the day before. He also started telling me how much money he made selling furniture which we didn't ask and not sure what made him decide to do that. It was bizarre. We purchased a recliner for good price from a nice sales lady at Ashley Furniture. They set a delivery date for our place in the Lake Cushman area, our cabin away from home. I drove there and it takes 40 mins one way. I waited till night time, thinking I was probably last on the delivery route since its a way to get there. They were a no show,no call. I called Ashley and they apologized and I rescheduled. The day of the 2nd scheduled delivery date i called to confirm, they said it was taken off the schedule. This would have been a 2nd no show no call mind you and 1.5 hours of driving. I tried to cancel the order but they won't do it by phone, you have to go to the store. More time wasted. I got there and spoke to the girl at the counter and explained the situation. The manager overheard the no call no show and also the 2nd debacle. He decided to walk away,instead of intervening and help salvage their already bad service. Dont go here ever. Also they seem to have a bunch of people communicating by walkie talkies and ear pieces, as if their a very streamlined operation. Wrong! Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! We had a hard time dealing with the sales rep as she wasn't very bright but she was nice. She told us the wrong amount 3 times then had to have us swipe our card 3 times for the remaining balances. Then we had a delivery date of the 7th for our sectional couch but only 4 of the 7 pieces arrived... so we called customer service and they basically told us too bad and deal with it! We complained to their manager and they finally told us they would deliver the remaining pieces at a later date but they didn't have all the pieces which is weird because when we bought the couch they had all pieces in stock. Took a second day off work to get the second delivery for the rest of my couch and they don't show up.... no phone call and no delivery. I called customer service again and the gal on the line laughs at me, tells me lies saying they did call and that there is no solution OH and also informed me that I need to take a third day off work to recive my couch and that it is my problem to be available for the couch! read more

Just be ready if you want to browse this store. We were approached by no less than FOUR sales people while we were shopping. We told every one of them we were just beginning to look for a sofa and had no plans to purchase today. PLEASE JUST LET US BROWSE - there are way more sales people in the store than there are customers so don't worry, if we need help we will certainly need only to look up and one of you will be standing RIGHT THERE with "....I heard what you were saying about the back of that sofa and I just wanted to let you know one more thing....". The manager even approached us to ask what we were looking for (after the sales person had already brought him over for an introduction!). When we said we were good, we were just browsing, his reply was, "So you're not looking for anything specific?" I was a little exasperated by their behavior by then and said we were good!! He acted sort of offended and said, "okaaaaayyyy.....?" and walked away. Seriously? Their furniture is really nice and affordable, but the high pressure sales and literally being followed around the store is completely ridiculous and uncomfortable! Not going back. Day 4 of trying to reach a sales person in the Olympia store. Even though I call the store phone number I keep getting routed to the call center who can do absolutely nothing to help. I ordered a rug while visiting in Olympia and was told that it would be delivered on 8/19/2019. I have yet to receive or here from them as to the delivery. Buyer beware this is the most unorganized company I have ever dealt with. Zero communication, I want to stop delivery but I have to go into the store. I live in another state and no other store can help me since they are independently owned. Which basically means that they can do what ever they want to their customers. I am not surprised that the ratings are so low. Please please please read this before making a purchase, especially a Tempur Pedic mattress. My wife and I were looking for a new bed, we went to Ashley and they talked up the tempur ergo King sized adjustable base. We liked it, paid 8500.00 for it and waited. Once we reviewed it, we were told that there was a pice missing, but not to worry, it happened all the time. Pnce it came in, they would come back and set the bed up. The piece never came. I had to call for it. Long story short, they sold us a broken bed. When I called, they claimed that they couldn't replace it and that tempur pedic would have to take care of it. I called customer service, they were rude, they admitted fault, but refused to fix the bed. I called tempur pedic and their rep told me that Ashley is known for doing this. He said that they just want to make the sale and in most cases, leaves the customer with a bed that can't be replaced. He said that I should buy direct next time and I agree. The people at this store were horrible. Were military and my wife has back problems and that's why we bought it. We can't use the bed for what we bought it for. I have a meeting with the news channel about this and they are interested in doing my story. I'm going to make sure that everyone in the region knows how they stole almost 10,000 from us and brushed it off. Please go somewhere else!!!! read more

I went to Ashley furniture to get a couch and Love seat. I have seen this stores advertisements that they want buying furniture to be fun, exciting and simple so we thought we would give it a try. It took a month to get the furniture but we know that they had to wait for it to get to them. We ordered it on June 15th 2021. On delivery the Love seat was clearly with problem as there was a huge gap in between where the cushion ends and the middle divider at least 2 inches where you could see through to the floor. I rejected the delivery on the Love seat and called Ashley. They said they would reorder another but that we would wait an addition three weeks which I was willing to do as both couch and Love seat were matching. So today 8/11/2021 I get my new Love seat and it has the same problem with it. I'm more than disappointed and again I rejected it. I'm not sure why there must not be a quality control in there warehouse but I will NEVER EVER buy furniture from them again. On top of the fact that the people that answer the phone have absolutely no concern about your concern., and when you try and call them all you get in some out of state person. This experience has not been a happy one or exciting or simple. Now they tell me it takes 10 days to get my money back. The saleswoman and I got to talking and before I knew it she had talked me into trying out a bed. I won't lie. I liked the zero gravity thing. But then I find out they want over $4,000 for the bed! They delivered the wrong pieces and some of the set they delivered were missing!!! The driver refused to take it back... Told me to call customer service! Literally 6 customer service reps later I still had no answers! I returned the wrong pieces personally to the store and they said they could order the correct pieces and they would be available in a few weeks, and by the way I owed them $6 more due to an ordering error on theirpart! Wow... Talk about unprofessional and petty! I have been charged thousands of dollars and will have to wait 6-8 weeks now to get my furniture! Our experience at Ashley in Olympia was pleasant and the customer service was excellent. We were furnishing our new home and had a lot to do. They had exactly what we wanted and we purchased $5,000.00 in furniture. Our dining room table was delivered, it had two right front legs on one of the six dining room chairs, our end tables, were not high end but were delivered with many scratches on all 3 items. We opened up a work order to replace the $1,200.00 broken down sofa cushions in July 2017. Only 8months old and excuse me, I'm a whole 143 lbs. They mailed the wrong stuffing, they did not show up to an appt. and today they showed up at a different time than they had told me and our couch is so uncomfortable we are sitting on our bar stools. I would not recommend this furniture to anyone. They charge high end prices and deliver less than average stuff. I say " shop elsewhere ". Customer service is excellent inside the store, once you have problems, corporate is ruthless and very unprofessional. I bought the couch Thursday in store and was told delivery was scheduled for the following Saturday. Saturday comes and still no phone call to set up a time. I called and they said there was a credit hold put on the account for no apparent reason and that's why delivery wasn't scheduled. If I didn't call I would have never known. Next available delivery time was for Tuesday which still isn't bad but now I'm wasting two of my days waiting around the house for a couch to be delivered. And nobody could explain why there was a credit hold on the account or who put it there. Bottom line...don't expect a smooth transaction from this company. read more

I made the mistake of buying a bed from the Tacoma store! Long story short we had a fantastic salesman named Alan Silva at the Olympia store that helped us get the correct mattress after putting us on the sleep diagnosis bed machine. He asked important questions & said we were put in the wrong mattress as well as the height of the box springs for our frame that was high. Another great guy in Olympia, a store manager named Michael Bower helped us get the low profile box springs after being lied to from the Tacoma store. These to men are the only assets to the company! We recently bought nearly $10,000 worth of furniture from Ashley in Olympia. When we purchased the bedroom set the salesman said the headboard was back ordered. We said ok, but is the rest of the order in stock? Absolutely he said. Delivery was supposed to happen last Wednesday, on Tuesday I was called and told the bed frame wouldn't be here until Friday. We have already sold our old bed so I'm not happy but agree to get the entire order on Friday. Friday comes and only half the bed shows up. We call and are told we were aware the order wasn't complete. Total lie. Now they say our bed frame won't be here for another month. Where are we supposed to sleep for a month? We asked the store to supply us with a frame and box spring to get us by. We were told "we don't do loaner furniture ". It's not loaner, it's fulfilling your obligation.
