The no return policy on mattress protectors, even if unused, is ridiculous. The one I purchased in store did not match the feel of the "Sample" protector, and my wife absolutely hates it and refuses to use it. It is now going to sit in a closet forever and I am out nearly $300. I would definitely agree with the other negative reviews. I had a much better experience at the West Olympia store when we bought a bed years ago, but after this recent incident we will never shop with them again. read more

Mattress Depot USA - Ugh - Mattresses Near Me - Lacey, Washington

Spent an hour here working with their salesman on buying a temper pedic bed. The sales guy seemed great, explained that he sells a ton of these mattresses, and gave us a price that was close to $2k less than the previous store we visited. He wrote the quote down on paper and we were a go. Credit card out ready to pay and he explains that he made a mistake and quoted us the wrong mattress. The price difference was more than a thousand dollars. Given that he sells a ton of these, this felt much more like a sleepy sales tactic than a "mistake". We walked away. Ended up purchasing the same mattress directly from the manufacturer for a better price than what they "officially" offered. read more

After conducting a great amount of research online on sites like Sleep Like the Dead dot com, I found I had to buy a different support base for a memory foam mattress I recently received. (I have a traditional king-sized bed frame and style.) I called four different stores, including Mattress Depot USA, to price products. Dave answered the phone for this business, and I asked about memory foam support ... and the conversation turned into such a bizarre experience that I am not sure I can properly relay it. In fact, I still have a hard time believing what transpired. After I explained what I was looking for, Dave started to, well, interrogate me; at least I felt interrogated. "Who told you you needed a box spring for memory foam?" he asked initially, but before I could answer him, he interrupted me, asking more questions. I do not mind answering questions; I do, however, mind being aggressively--and repetitively--questioned at by a complete stranger whose tone and decibel levels are escalating as the minutes pass. It began to occur to me that Dave was irritated that I had been "told wrong," (his words), but since he could not get his hands on the charlatans who had led me astray, he was left with no one to rebuke but me. As he told me how much experience he had in the mattress business (ten years), and how wrong I was (very), I decided not to give Mattress USA my business and that it would be best for me to thank Dave for his opinion and stop wasting his time; the problem was, however, that he would not stop lecturing me. I realized I was going to have to let him wind down, lest I seem impolite and hang up on him. He talked for four more minutes. Finally, I was able to thank him and end the call. My mother spent over 30 years in a food company and retired as the assistant director of sales, and the company is the world's largest producer of a certain product. so I have spent a great deal of time around salesmen. Also, one of the smaller degrees I have is business-related. In lieu of these facts, I feel confident in saying that the manner in which I was treated over the phone was nothing short of unprofessional, even veering toward rude. Furthermore, to add insult to injury, when I took the advice from Sleep Like the Dead dot com over Dave's and purchased a foundation for my memory foam mattress, I noticed a huge difference for the better in my sleep. read more

Never have I been so angry at a business. I ordered "the same" matress I ordered years ago, by phone. Was told it's best to try them out for comfort, but I told them I have a spinal cord injury after my 13th back surgery and walking is extremely difficult, I needed something comfortable. I paid 140 bucks for delivery and when I laid down that night felt like I was laying on concrete. So I called, he told me I had to come in, so I did that to pick a more comfortable mattress, driving is hard as I can't sit very long, but after driving to Olympia he tells me I need to go back home, take pictures, email pics of my old mattress and new one to prove they weren't the same, one had a good 6" or more of "pillow top" this new one, about an inch. I sent photos to his email, and after seeing it, he's gaslighting me saying they are the exact same mattress.. Then he tells me there is a "comfort guarantee", but if I choose a different, more comfortable mattress it'll cost me 180 bucks this time for delivery, after paying 140 originally (based on my location, So what changed?) I'm on Social security, the 1000 mattress & boxsping cost what I live on a month (the mattress has been in the hallway against the wall where I drug it after laying on it for an hour in pain) meaning I went without things I needed and saved 4 months for this. Oh, and the best part? After seeing many much more plush topped mattresses when I did drag my partially paralyzed a$$ in, he actually said I NEED TO "JUMP ON THE MATTRESS I HAVE TO MAYBE MAKE IT MORE COMFORTABLE " by this point, I'm thinking, ok, I've told him I've got a back injury and my legs are numb, so he's obviously messing with me at this point. After me saying over & over this mattress wasn't going to work for me, it's in my hallway still, where I hurt my back dragging it to. I spent 30 years caring for others and doing excellent "customer service" as a nurse, and I assure you, this wasn't customer service. read more

One of the absolute worst experiences I've ever had. Customer service is a negative 10. I was given a shipment date of 12/31/2020. Well, that date come and went. I called and was given a new shipment date of 1/13/2021 that is TWO weeks after the original date. I ordered, a King size mattress, king box spring, bed frame, and headboard. Today, I received 2 TWIN box springs....NO MATTRESS, NO Metal bedframe, NO headboard. I called to inquire about the mishap. I was told that the delivery company must of lost my mattress, I personally called the delivery company and was told that they NEVER received the actual mattress and my headboard was on back order for weeks, was never told this upfront or I would not have ordered it. I asked what an ETA for a new mattress was, they are blaming the shipping company. I kindly said, obviously something on your end went wrong, can you ship me a new mattress and expedite it to which I was told we aren't sure. I wanted a refund but was told I can't get a refund until every item is sent back to them....JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL!!!!! ZERO customer service, no apology, I guess when they mess up on their end it's the customers fault.......I've not been waiting OVER A MONTH for a mattress. Now I have thousand of dollars of money tied up and no mattress, Take my advice....go to mattress firm and get same day delivery from a trusted brand! read more

I have to tell you, what a total disappointment. We bought from them years ago. Wasn't the best experience, but we weren't that unhappy. This time we went in and picked out an expensive mattress. The ad and all the little card folders sitting on the beds through out the room, advertised a free base with remote with the purchase of one of their more higher price models. All the little cards had the picture of the base that would raise your feet and your head. After picking out our choice of bed, and it was up to 3000 + dollars after the lady added it all up. We were told that the base that was offered, was only the one that raised the head. That the one pictured on their add was not free, but would cost more. A addition of more than 500 more dollars, not including tax, set up charges. And this was a special offer to us. This to me is just plain false advertising. This was at the Lacey store. Thinking of filing a formal complaint. Left without a purchase, and a very upset image of the Mattress Depot. Jim M. read more

Bottom line up front, I would never recommend Mattress Depot to anyone. If you do go there, be prepared. Can you say product switch? Not what we were lead to believe we were purchasing and received a substandard product from the one we were shown. Here is our experience with Mattress Depot. My wife and I were shopping for an adjustable base for our mattress. We spent a great deal of time comparing different bases and found some good deals. The last place we checked was Mattress Depot in Lacey. The salesman that assisted us was named Jeff. We explained what we were looking for and that we had been shopping around for comparisons. He showed us a base that had most of what we wanted and let us know that it was $1500. We had seen a similar base at another store across the street that came out to be $1080 (pretax) with Mil discount, which I let Jeff know. Jeff looked for a minute like he was contemplating and said he could let us have this one for $1200 before tax with free delivery and set up and 20yr warranty. Although it was $120 more than the one across the street, it did come with a 20yr vs a 10yr warranty. We agreed to the deal and set everything up for delivery. As they were setting the base up and I noticed that there were no USB plugs like I saw on the base in the store. I asked the guys that were setting it up if there were more parts for the USB. They told me this one didn't come with USB plugs. I asked them if they would mind holding on for a second while my wife called the store to see what was going on. They said it would be no problem, however normally when this happens they set up the bed anyway, and if the customer turns out to be correct they come back on a later day to swap them out. When my wife spoke to Jeff on the phone, Jeff told her that, per her paperwork (which he filled out), she had actually bought the 2000 model which does not come with USB, not the 3000 model which does. My wife explained that we bought the one we were shown in the store whichever model that was. Jeff told her that the one in the store was a 3000 model not the 2000 which she had bought. After a few minutes of back and forth, my wife asked Jeff how we would know a 2000 vs a 3000 since nothing was ever said about models during the purchase and we had specifically asked about the USB. He simply kept say that she had bought the 2000. Long story short, the "2000" model is sitting here at my house because we had no choice. Fast forward, we contacted Mattress Depot via the website. The District Manager, Herb, contact my wife very quickly! I wish that was the happy ending but... no. It appeared that he was more interested in Jeff being right then actually coming to a resolution and pretty much dismissing everything my wife said, in support of his salesperson. He informed her of the things that Jeff had told him about the transactions in the store. When my wife tried to tell him that what he was told was not true, he continued to tell her that the base she had bought was the 2000 not the 3000 as Jeff had explained to her previously. Herb told my wife that if we would have paid an additional $100 we could have had the one with the USB. She attempted to let him know we were lead to believe we had bought that one and that was the one we were shown. If we would have been told otherwise, we would have paid the extra for the one we wanted. It didn't make sense. He continued to be argumentative and at that point my wife realized that the discussion was actually going nowhere and let him know that the discussion had come to an end and there was no point in continuing. In actuality, the base we "bought" (and still have) was the 2000 however the base we were lead to believe we bought was the 3000. read more

Looked at the prices on the tags which were to high for me and my family so we were leaving and Dave stopped us and to the time to explain everything we were interested in. Tim helped us out picking out a mattress(manager I think). He provided very useful info and took a good chunk of his time to help us narrow down the options based on comfort and price range, because we enjoyed the top of the line mattress and it was clearly out of our budget. So we found a comparable one that was market down as a factory 2nd (scratch/blemish or last years model) which they carry a lot of in addition to the current models. Positive experience all around, and much more enjoyable than their Northgate Seattle location, where the sales person ignored my girlfriend and treated me like the "man" with a girl that can't make decisions and was kind of short with us but trying to be a friendly sales person. So this was a nice breath of fresh air. read more

After spending a full day of hunting for a mattress we decided to stop in this location because of the "sale" sign outside. We loved the large selection and the gentleman that helped us was VERY knowledgeable about pillows and mattresses. He found EXACTLY what we were looking for and supplied us with all of the items we needed! Even though the mattress we wanted wasn't at this location, he called around and found it for us and it was available for same day pick up! We have been shopping at several mattress stores, but didn't buy for a couple of reasons. The first was prices and the second was high-pressure sales people. It was worse than buying a used Car! Then, today, we came across this Mattress Depot. Our salesperson was Eric. We told him what we wanted and our price range. He showed us 3 that met our criteria. One was perfect. We bought it, a mattress cover and two pillows. Everything but the mattress was initiated by us, not Eric pressuring us to by more. Unfortunately, we purchased a memory foam mattress that turned out to be way too hard. Good news is that Eric made it easy to replace it with something much better (and softer). Great place to buy a mattress, pillows and bedding. Roy and Jacques were great. No pressure sales here; my wife and I spent plenty of time trying out mattresses and the prices are very fair. Delivery was as promised by some nice young men who were on-time and courteous. What a joke. My husband and I left the house today ready to spend whatever it took for us to get off our old miserable mattress and onto something that would get us a good nights sleep tonight and through the rest of my pregnancy. We stopped at a few other mattress stores before stopping by Mattress Depot to see what they had to offer. Apparently our business wasn't very important to the sales associate behind the counter. We wandered the store with questions about different mattresses, price options, delivery service etc. and after about ten minutes we decided to leave because not only were we not getting any help, we hadn't even been greeted by the man working the entire time we were in the store. Incredibly rude, I couldn't believe it. I can't even say it was bad service, we received NO service at all. Not even greeted upon entering! So not only will I leave a bad review and not recommend the store, but I'm going to go out of my way to say let Mattress Depot be the LAST place you go for a mattress. read more
