Happy with our purchase, delivery was quick but 4 of our small accessories items didn't show up so we called and they said we had to come into the store to pick it up the following Tuesday. Ok whatever we figured it was small so they didn't want to send it with the big stuff. But it would've been nice to know beforehand. So that following Tuesday we call to see if the items are ready to pick up "no they're scheduled to come in next Tuesday" 2 weeks for bloody candle holders! Finally my dad and sister went to pick it up but what do we find, only 2 of the 4 are at the store and we have to come back yet again, on the following week to pick it up. I bought a leather sofa, loveseat and chair from Ashley. I had been very happy with the purchace. However, after five years the "leather" is peeling. Not cracking or looking worn, but peeling... We bought the the extended coverage. Big mistake, they claim the "peeling" is normal wear and tear. Went to the store to see what they could do for us and the answer I got was... "if you buy a new set I will give you a really good deal"...!?!?!? To be fair, I lost it at that point and was not polite to the store manager. The furniture is cheaper than I thought. I knew it wasn't the best but goodness.... For $2000, I at least want you to last more than one year, especially when there are only 2 people using the furniture. Its been about 15 months and we had the cushions replaced 6 months in; now that the Ashley warranty has expired, we were directed to the extended warranty we purchased. How does this place manage to stay in business? How many sales do their sales people lose due to a stupid policy? Their showroom is unparalleled, not doubt about that. Sales people can be hit or miss. Prices can even be good depending on the sale. So what's so bad about it? The fact that you can't pick your items up from the store. Yes, you read that correctly. If you buy something from them, you have 3 options in getting it home: 1. pick it up in Brandon, FL. That's nearly to Tampa. 90 miles or 1.5 hours with good traffic and for those of us in Central Florida, we know that there's hardly good traffic on I-4. 2. pay to have it shipped to your house but that's no available on all items and it can get costly. It was not an option for our item. 3. pay to have it delivered, this was an extra $60. We wanted very badly to buy a headboard for our bed. The ways listed above were the only ways we could buy it. We are a 10 minute drive to the store and the item breaks down to fit in our crossover. When given those options, we decided to purchase elsewhere. I could tell the look of frustration on the salesman's face when I said we'll have to think about it after he gave us the options on how to get our items. Why would there not be an option to pick it up in store? Is this a way to milk money out of customers? Why would I pay an extra $60 to have an item delivered from a store that's 10 minutes away from my house? read more

I am very disappointed with this company Asheley Furniture. This is becoming a joke. I had purchased 5 items on dec 11 and took them 18 days to delivery the furnitures to my house but 1 item they sent wrong. At the day of the delivery Dec 28, the costumer care lady called Paula Thompson promised me and also sent me a email confirming the missing piece of my couch to be delivered on December 31 of 2018, however I received a text message from the company on dec 30th (a day before the schedule) in the morning plus a call too from delivery driver stating that the item was on the way to be delivered to my house and I had to change my plans with my family to be waiting for this delivery but for my surprise the driver called back 15 minutes after his first call saying that the delivery won't be happening at the 30th as well...The driver Roberto Mendez said that he doesn't have the furniture piece on his truck. They so disorganized!!!! Not only I was waiting over 5 hours for this delivery but I received a call from customer service department, a lady called Sharon saying that the piece missing from my couch is in back order and they will call me someday to schedule another day to be delivered. She also said that she would try to resolve this internally with her boss so I could get the piece delivered on the 31st as agreed originally and promised me to call me back in max 2 hours and never happened. 2 days has gone and I am still waiting for her call. I called the customer service again on Dec 31st to find out about the new delivery day and they still don't know where is the piece missing of my couch and when it will be delivered. I will contact an attorney on January 2nd and also the news to see if they can finally can solve this and delivery what I paid for! I also will tell everyone that I know to never buy anything from this brand or store. They are terrible and big layers. Horrible customer service. Great experience with Shelby. We had come into the store earlier and the Sales people were not all over us, which was refreshing after the opposite experience at other stores. When we came back 45 minutes before close, Shelby greeted us as we walked in. She too was not aggressive but provided the information we needed to consider our financing options and get exactly what we wanted. She was honest and helpful and made our experience quick and easy. Their promotions are very misleading...the manager wouldn't honor a promotion that stated online that they would take an extra 10% off because apparently in very fine print it said it was for select items.I spoke with a sales person before driving all the way to the store to make sure that they would honor the promotion and I show up and she changed her story saying that they couldn't honor it. I honestly don't know where to begin with the level of frustration I have with this company, Ashley Furniture. The sofa I ordered was in the last week of September; The seller was very courteous but told me that it would be some delay for the delivery and the date he gave me was October 26, but he said that it may arrive one to two weeks before. There was a week left and I hadn't heard from them, so I decided to do the tracking, it was not possible, so I decided to call, then, they told me that it would be for January 2021, what a disrespect, a paid the sofa in full and apart they did not even inform that it would be delayed. I decided to go to the store, they apologized, then they told me that if I wanted to see another piece of furniture and give me a small credit to use it, I accepted and chose another sofa, they told me that it would arrive on October 29. Then, just a day and a half for the delivery, they sent me a text saying that it would be rescheduled for another day, November 1st, Sunday. Then, on Saturday, October 31 at 9:40 AM, they sent a text confirming the shipment on Sunday. I already seeing that I was closer, I got rid of my old sofa, but the most horrible thing was yet to come, they called after six PM, less than 12 hours for the delivery to say that again, the shipping date had been moved to Thursday, the reason, because they didn't have a truck available. What a lack of respect, now I have nowhere to sit with my family, because I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thanks to the treatment I got from their employees at the store and the great marketing campaign they have, I thought it was a reputable company I could trust but not. I have searched the internet for you today and found nothing good about it. What a lack of moral ethics, respect and abuse of the money of its buyers. I honestly ask myself, how they are still on business. The damage is done, sadly is not just to say that they will refund the money because it takes time, plus the time already gone, when I would it use it to get another offers from possible a more reputable and trust it store. read more

If your buying future and you want it to last, it has nothing to do with the salesperson. I will say the the sales lady was very nice and helpful, and the store was well lit and clean, but this in the end has nothing to do with furniture. My son and I picked out four kitchen counter stools, and a leather sofa. This was back in June. Seven months later and here is what I find. Let me say that I take very good care of my belongings, because I want it to last. If your not like me, then you won't care about what I'm going to say. I find the furniture to be on the cheap side. The kitchen stools swivel, and in the beginning did so quite well. When I put them on the counter, upside down, to clean the floor I noticed that they don't swivel easily anymore. In fact one of the four I would call a non swivel stool. Ok! I'll replace the hardware and get it working again, but I should not have to. On to the leather sofa. Looks great today as you expect, and overall I'm very happy with it. In fact I'm laying on it now. My only bark about it, is that it developed a little bit of a grown when you place your are on the rest. Most people would not notice, but my house is usually very quiet. I hope it doesn't get louder. So my overall opinion is this; save your money a little longer and buy better furniture. read more

We just purchased a dining set and added two extra chairs to the order. Paid for shipping and furniture protection, but apparently the way the sales person set up the order the shipping on the extra chairs didn't include putting the chairs together. I'm curious, then, how they put protection on the chairs that are still in the box. One of the chairs has an extra random grommet on it - right in the middle of the chair. We also purchased two end tables for the living room. One was completely broken- cracked wood, broken screws. The other is missing a good deal of stain - looks like a five year old painted it. When I called to get these things addressed, said five year old answered the phone. I finally asked for a manager and she told me SHE is busy right now. I I asked if she'd have her call me back and she said "if HE becomes available". Whether the manager is male or female I still haven't received that return call. His store manager Cedric was great as well. I went in the store really to do research with no intent on making a purchase that day and left with a bedroom set to include mattress and box spring and a living room set. I really wish I could give this store 0 stars but yelp won't let me. My sales rep was fine. But I warn everyone to research before you buy anything from Ashley Furniture. 1. Overpriced for inferior made products 2. Their sales rep tell you false information: you can NEVER get a refund, no matter what. I purchased a sectional set. The delivery guy came to deliver the set, my husband who works from home, said it didn't look right after they set up the set. It was too long on one side and too short on the other. The delivery man said, well, don't worry you have 72 hours to return the set if you don't like it/doesn't work for you. I remember the sales rep saying the same thing to us in the store when we went to purchase the set. I call customer service to set up an exchange. They tell me that I have to call the store directly. I call. First person who answers- a female, I explained what happened. She rudely said to me: there are no refunds as per store policy. I didn't even get to explain situation to her. I instantly became livid because this is the poorest customer service I have ever experienced. She kept repeating the same thing over and over. It's says on the policy, under damaged delivered items, the store has the right to refuse refunds and exchanges if the product is not damaged or if it shows customer misuse or abuse, I didn't have the for 12hrs, I didn't even sit on it, this is just a way in which under any circumstances, they are going to refuse all refunds. I explain that I've only had this piece for approximately 8 hrs in my house. It's not used. She was rude, said once I signed for it, it's mine! I spoke to their manager miguel and let him have a piece of my mind as well. This store is set up to rob people of their money, their customer service is horrible once they have taken your money and their products are inferior and made poorly. I now have to pay for a $3000 sofa set which does not properly fit in my living room. Poor customer service, they do not care about you or your families. They only care about their commission. Worst service ever. The store itself is nice and the sales associate was very helpful in trying to get us discounts but everything after was a disaster. We were told our sofa would be delivered on 7/15 but they would try to get it to us earlier with our mattress delivery. When they contacted us about the mattress delivery, I asked if the sofa would be delivered then. They said no and actually they would not be able to deliver on the 15th it would be much later. I informed them that is not acceptable as we moved across country and need furniture. The customer service rep was very rude and after much argument said she found the sofa and would be able to get it out to us on the original date 7/15. On 7/13, we received a text saying the sofa would not be available for delivery until 7/21. After much argument with the company we canceled our order. Abraham and Julie the store managers have caused me nothing but trouble, they refuse to help, constantly lie, and do not care about my time or money spent in the store. after spending nearly 4 grand in the store i had my furniture shipped to me a day late and missing parts, then when they came back with a different table it was also broken. Abraham had another technician come to my house and leave the table still unsatisfactory condition and leaving dirt marks from his shoes all through my house. then i get shipped boxes that i have zero room to store to fix the table..myself i guess? i called the store and Abraham said he would personally come get the boxes the following day...and the following day i waited at home for him to be a no show. Both the driver and assistant didn't speak any English, and then while carrying in our dresser knocked a light fixture out of the wall. The in person sales people are very nice and I had no problem with them, the problem is with customer service, their technicians and the manufactures, I called shortly after delivery on a chair we purchased because it came in two different fabric colors, I simply wanted an exchange, they tell me to let the technician come and file a claim, he comes and says he can't do anything about it, so I call again and then send the same technician, he literally laughed at us in our home as we expressed our concerns and then lied and told the company that the chair was in no need to be exchanged, I called again today (ITS BEEN MORE THAN A MONTH) and they say they are going to send yet another technician! they just keep sending their terrible technicians as if that's going to solve anything! did the technician buy the chair with his hard earned money? why does he get to decide if I can exchange something or not when I am saying I am not satisfied with the product?!?! I am retracting my previous negative 1 star review and have changed it to a 4. I just received my third delivery and am very happy that all of the problems with my original delivery were corrected and I am very satisfied with my purchase. My salesman Andre and the store manager Miguel did everything possible to accommodate me in switching out my matress due comfort issues and making sure everything went smoothely with the replacemebnt items. The only reason why I'm giving 1 star is because I really liked Adam our sales person, and the manager at the store during our purchase was very nice. That being said, our delivery and customer service during this process was an absolute nightmare. Mind you, we couldn't even get through to our store to speak to the manager throughout this nightmare, it was all some customer service call center. MY STORY: We were given a delivery date (Saturday) and a window of 3-7. We were advised to remove all old furniture to make room for the new furniture so my husband and I lugged a huge sectional down to the curb. During this window, there was absolutely no communication from our driver. Since I couldn't get through to the store, I did online chat around 6:50 to see where our truck was, "he's running late and the new time is now 8:30". Irritated we waited. 8:30 rolled around and nothing. 9pm we get an automated call that our truck should be here within 10 minutes....and indeed 10 minutes later, a scrawny young man about 5'2" and all of a buck thirty soak and wet gets out of the truck by himself. With no help, he says, "There's no way I can take this down the side of the house by myself, I'll be bringing your furniture back to the warehouse and someone will call you Monday to reschedule", AND he marked our account as, "Customer refused delivery due to it being too late", which was a lie (who waits 6 hours for a delivery and then turns them away? At this point, I just waited 6 hours for my delivery, and I now have people coming on Sunday and no furniture to sit on. Absolutely livid and seeing red, I went to sleep and started with customer service first thing Sunday morning. I spoke with a fantastic woman by the name of Selena who did everything in her power to get dispatch to find what they called a "save team' so they could get my furniture to me that day (now Sunday). Selena kept telling me "Dispatch" would be reaching out to me (but they never did), and she called me every 2 hours to see if dispatch called and to give me an update. She must have followed up with me 5-6 times that day (which I was grateful for) and finally around 6pm, she apologized to me that she didn't think they would be getting my furniture to me that day and that she was off the next day (Monday) so we should escalate the call to the "Escalation department". As far as the delivery went, the escalation department did NOTHING. Sunday night at 6:30 I get a phone call from Vincent saying he's my delivery driver and he's sorry for everything I've gone through the past 2 days and he promised me our sectional will be delivered tomorrow (Monday) around noon, but that he was going to give me a window of 10-2 (fair enough), I was okay with that, and hopeful, but not optimistic. Monday morning rolled around, nothing, Monday afternoon rolled around.....2pm rolled around, no phone call, no e-mail, no nothing saying they were delayed, no communication at all. Finally I picked up the phone. My delivery and Vincent finally arrived at my house at 3:10pm, only over an hour past the "window" I was given. My family and I waited around for 3 days, a total of 20 hours waiting for our delivery. No communication regarding late deliveries, couldn't get a manager on the phone, and when I called escalation last night, they said, we can maybe get you a portion of your delivery fee back. Really? So I wait for your people for 3 days, cancelled plans on Saturday night because your delivery man was late, cancelled plans on Sunday because we had NO FURNITURE, kids sitting on beach chairs in our living room, and the most you can do is give me a partial refund on my delivery fee? I can honestly say, I'm so sick over this ordeal, unless I get a call from corporate or management with an apology, and they make good on all my aggravation, I will NEVER purchase from Ashley Furniture again. DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM ASHLEY'S! I ordered a sofa and love seat Jan. 24th. Was told two week which I thought was a long time but because I liked the furniture decided to go ahead and get it. The original quote given to me by the sales person for the extra warranty was incorrect by $30.00. I let that go. The day the furniture was to be delivered they showed up with just the love seat. Did not know why the sofa was not there. After they left we realized the lumbar support did not work. They have agreed to exchange the love seat but am being told it will not be delivered till March 22nd! I then asked for the sofa to be delivered on March 5 when they told me it could be. They told me yes. Today since I had not gotten an e-mail from them about a time for delivery I called and was told they did not have the delivery set up till March 24th!!! The manager of the store was to have called me back in regards to a question we had on the warranty. That was a couple weeks ago and still have not heard anything on this issue. Accepted the TV stand because I needed one with the understanding someone from their damage control department would reach out by phone and appointment to inspect the damaged piece by the following Wednesday. Did not receive a followup call for that Wednesday, nor did anyone show up. Attempted to return TV stand to the store to get a refund. Was told they are not the warehouse, and, because the damaged stand was accepted, they would not give us our money back and our only option was to repair or replace it. An attempt to replace it was no good. Newer TV stand was damaged in the identical spot as the originally purchased TV stand, only worse. They refuse to issue a refund. I did not purchase damaged goods. I purchased goods in new condition. I am at a loss as to why I can't get my money back!!! read more

My fiancé and I come in here all the time as we recently moved from and 1 bedroom apartment to a 4 bedroom house and are in the process of buying lots of furniture. I love the furniture at Ashley, however from the second you walk in you are stalked the entire time. I understand this is somewhat common at furniture stores, but they take it to the next level here. Every time I look up I see the same sales person peeking around the corner staring it me. We would spend so much more time in this store, and would be more likely to purchase, if we could comfortably walk around and have private conversations without a sales associate lurking around a corner. So up until 6/30/2021 Ashley HomeStore in Waterford Lakes has been my go to for furniture for over 10 years. Their salesman David is fantastic to work with, their product is good for the price and lots of selection. But then I tried to cancel an order... I had ordered a mattress in store to be delivered. We called shortly after ordering to cancel as we found a better deal we could not refuse. 35 days later we have no refund back to our card. I have talked to this store at least 5 times and always a different person with a different promise. Again 5 weeks later I do not have my money back and am receiving interest charges against it. I guarantee if I kept $1000 from Ashley Furniture this long they would press charges against me. Crazy how they take the money from your card immediately, but when you have a legitimate cancelation, long before any delivery is even setup, they continue to hold it this long. Ashley, you are making interest on my money all the while i am being charged penalties. This is bad faith plain and simple. I cannot afford an attorney to help me fight this, so i will continue to call weekly for the next excuse to not return my money to me. I can promise that i will never again set foot in your store, nor will I ever tell anyone who asks, that we got our furniture from you. I would not wish this sort of treatment on anyone.
