When my daughter moved and needed furniture I want to Hank's and expected the same good result. Instead the service has been a nightmare. I was talked into a particular table and chairs because the set would be available on April 20. The day before April 20 I got a call saying 2 of the 4 chairs would be delivered and the other 2 a week later. On April 20, no chairs were delivered. Since then I have repeatedly been promised, "The chairs will be here on Thursday, and we will immediately ship them." I even called the corporate office and was told they would contact the store. Two weeks ago I was told two chairs had been shipped on Thursday and would be there on Monday (May 30). Still no chairs. No one ever calls me to say chairs have been delayed. No communication is initiated by Hank's. Today I called Hank's and was told, "The chairs will be in on Thursday and will be shipped." I have never had to put up with service like this from any reputable vendor.

Incredibly helpful staffers, positively gorgeous furniture (not gaudy, but they did have some more…read more"upscale" items if that was your style) and because they were moving, they had an 80% off sale going which made some overpriced (in my opinion) items, very incredibly affordable. Plus they have payment plans available for most items, so even the expensive items are drops in the bucket for a month to month or even weekly payment.

We were having a hard time deciding between 2 beds and she gave us information that steered us toward purchasing the less expensive of the 2 when most sales people would have steered us toward the more expensive of the 2. We were able to purchase a mattress that would have normally sold for around $1000.00 but we only paid $300.00. When I went to pick up the mattress and box spring I discovered that I had miscalculated and the box spring would not fit in the vehicle. Two of the young men that worked there spent about 20 minutes securing it to the luggage rack of my vehicle so that I could get it safely to my home. I am also very happy with the bed I purchased.

My mother got some furniture here right after she bought her home. It is still going strong 15…read moreyears later. So, when my tired and busted 5 year old furniture from the Store for Rooms got thrown to the curb, Mom suggested we go to Moore's. I resisted for a couple of reasons. First, I live over 300 miles away. Second, living in the Houston metro area, I would think that I could find something in my neck of the woods. So, I looked in my neck of the woods and you know, I didn't find anything I really liked. Ok, there was the stuff at Pottery Barn, but the price on the ticket is not what you end up paying, really. So, that let that out. I hate deception. Anyway, I finally relented and went to Moore's with Mom. I walked in the door and immediately started seeing things I liked. Tables, chairs, etc. No couches really. Then I noticed that a couch design I liked was by the manufacturer whose design center was in the back corner. Yay! We went back and drove the poor sales lady, Lyn, insane with questions and ideas and such. Finally, we decided on a set of fabrics to use. Then, I asked about accent pillows and such, said something about an ottoman I liked and lo and behold, said accent fabric was on said ottoman. SOLD. So, we ordered the couch and bought the ottoman. The manufacturer is Massoud. The furniture is made here in Texas and appears to be solid and well crafted. My Mom's couch certainly seems to be. I love my ottoman and can't wait to get it home. Lyn certainly was gracious and very helpful when I was worried about fabric choices and helped steer me to my final selections for fabrics. She was definitely one of the reasons we made our purchase and felt good about it. I will update this review once the sofa comes and we have sat on it a while. :-)
