Delivery guys have always been great too. Mattress section had decent pricing and quick delivery. Access right off highway and parking simple. Melissa's working hours especially on weekends made things very simple. Easy to get in touch with and let her know when we were on our way so she could show us everything we were looking for quick and easy. Always nice to keep the anxieties down, and not feel rushed or pressured when making big purchases, that's why you have to call ahead or ask for Her when you go in. And always ask for the sale or any discounts!!

In september, I received delivery of the Riley Ash chair. It has been 3 months since I received…read moredelivery of it and because of the high density foam used in the cushion it is nothing like the one in the showroom. I found out recently that the one on the showroom floor had been there for over 10 years! Even the manager said it's a very hard share and nowhere near representative of what you will receive upon delivery. I have a bad back and Bone degeneration in my spine. This chair was so uncomfortable I couldn't even sit on it without using multiple pillows and blankets under my butt! I finally went to the store, saw a manager in person, and they refunded the Riley Ash chair and I used those funds to purchase the Trevor recliner, which arrived today. It hasn't even been broken in yet and it's more comfortable than the Riley Ash chair was after 3 months. So my advice to you is when you go to the store, ask the salesperson how long the display has been on the floor and what the break-in period is, and what it should feel like when it's being delivered. What is on the sales floor is not representative of what you will have delivered unless you buy from the cash and carry room.

There is a tear on the back of the couch that the cushion rest against(on the seam). I reached out to the warranty people and like before they said they couldn't do anything about it. I went to the store. They have started working with a new warranty company. They told me to try and see what happens if they could help. I reached out, they had my info in there system... according to them they denied my claim !! And it says they fix tears. What is the sense of having and/or buying a warranty if it's going to get denied. My warranty is up this September. I'm so done with this.This is the first time I had to put in a claim. This is ridiculous. People don't waste your money on the warranty/goof proof because it seems anyway they can get out of fixing they will!!!

I pointed them out to the delivery crew and explained that I was told by the sales people not to accept anything that wasn't perfect as they wouldn't take it back later. I expressed that the peace had some indentations and would like it to be returned. The delivery crew then proceeded to say...why don't we just have somebody come out and fix it. I said because I was told not to take anything that wasn't perfect because only at time of delivery would they accept it back. Therefore, I like to have it removed. The person in charge continued to try to pressure me just to accept it. When I said no they became very angry and stormed off with the product. They had to return later with a different item that somehow didn't make it on the original truck. The r&f tracking device shows you when the crew is close. My time changed throughout the entire day. It was supposed to arrive at 11:30, 12:00, then "soon", 2:45, 3:30, again "soon", 5:00, 5:45, 6:15 or 6:30 p.m.. it was the exact same crew that left in a huff in the morning. While they were at my place, a person from r&f called to see how my delivery went. I was very specific about my experience and how disappointed I was. I also expressed that I thought was outrageous that I was paying for delivery. That first had a a defected item and then for a second item that took all day despite their tracker showing all different times. It was beyond inconvenient. It felt personal. It took several days for them to be able to bring a replacement piece. However, I would swear hand to God that it was the exact same one they had delivered before due to where the divots were. I am so frustrated with this company that they treat customers so poorly that all they care about is the money. There are so many other furniture companies out there. Please don't waste your time with r&f!

For months now we've been looking for a new livingroom chair to fit in a small space…read more Shortly after we walked in a sales associate approached. He asked what we were looking for to point us in the right direction and let us know where to find prices. He also explained some pieces are available in other colors and where we could find that information. Then he left us to wander the floor. Some items on display are the item you get. The tag will specify 'floor model' if this is the case. It's quite a large space. Most pieces are set up as you would find them in your home with side tables, lamps, wall decor and so on. Everything is for sale of course, not just for show. They also have bedroom, dining room and other miscellaneous furniture pieces as well as mattresses. If you are thinking of purchasing a floor model, be sure to look it over carefully as what you see is what you get. This goes for decorative pieces too. Sadly our hunt for a small profile, comfy seat, with arms, and possibly the occassional nap, continues. We'll drop in another time to see what's on offer.

We popped into the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries and sat in what felt like every recliner that was on the showroom floor. Feet up, lay back, feet down, switch! Staff were mingling and available for questions but were not overbearing or pushy. We landed on a somewhat modern design; one we were both very pleased with. At the time of our decision, the staff person checking in with us was unfortunately occupied with another couple. Despite this, we were helped right away by someone in the interior design department. This was to our benefit in that, we weren't quite sure what color fabric to choose for the uniquely painted room they'd occupy. This employee was very helpful and reviewed the pros and cons associated with each color choice (including shipping time and availability!). Though these chairs were not a cheap spend; I feel we left getting a good deal. The chairs were delivered within a couple of weeks and set up for us in our home. One of the chair backs had a noticeable darkened area on the headrest when we completed a once over. The delivery staff took pictures and when we called the store at opening time, we had no issue getting another chair back sent out as replacement. The new back arrived in no time and it was simple to swap them out. Two (and 1 half) chairs later, I feel we had an overall decent experience.

We tend to move frequently, and I wanted to be sure the furniture was designed to last. The sales woman was thrilled that I asked and turned the sofa over to show the quality construction. This particular sofa had a metal frame and at one point a bolt came loose during transit, which was easily replaced at the hardware store. That sofa lasted us a loooonnnnggg time. We picked a light colored, textured fabric for this sofa and by the time we donated it, the fabric had a bit of wear to the pattern from kids living on it, but the mechanisms where still working and the seat firmness still similar to when purchased. With the addition of food and pet stains. The living room in our next place was about half the size of the previous one (or smaller), and so we needed a more streamlined sofa. La-Z-Boy had a line at the time that offered sleek lines and a 'lighter' feel as opposed to the heavily tufted and pillowed recliner sofa. We took advantage of their interior design assistance for this new sofa. They sent a designer to our home, she measured the space, made notes of furniture presently in the space (TV stand, end tables and so on) and we made an appointment to meet her at the showroom when convenient for us. As she knew exactly what size our room was and what furniture we had, she was able to enter all the details into a computer program and show us different configurations of the room and how they would work. She showed us a few couches that would fit in the space, assisted with choosing fabric and recommended a new lamp. This really made the shopping experience so much easier as there was no guessing about 'will it fit' in the space and we only had to look at the few pieces in the showroom that fit our space instead of having to look at all of them. The showroom itself is not overly large, and set up like living areas w/coffee tables, lamps and accessories that are also for sale. We purchased a vase from them that matches our new décor and I use it all the time. It gives the room a more 'intentional' look vs using a vase you got when someone sent your flowers, or a gift that isn't quite your style. A section on the left as you walk in is just for recliners. There are quite a few varieties. Toward the back left of the showroom is a designated area to meet with a designer and choose fabric swatches for your new furniture. We did purchase a lamp from them and when it arrived, shipped directly to us, the silk shade had a hole in it. We contacted the designer, and she ordered another shade for us at no charge. Other than that, we have had zero problems with the lamp and it's still as lovely today as it was when purchased. There are a dozen or so parking spots in front of the building and another couple dozen along the right side (as you look at the front of the building). Access to a wheelchair ramp is on this side of the building as well. Entrance doors are hands free. During this time of pandemic, hand sanitizer is available to customers directly upon entering the building. All staff are wearing masks, and customers are required to wear masks as well. Customers and staff all took care to keep a minimum of 6 feet apart where possible. We have had our 'new' couch for about six years (or more?) now and it is holding up beautifully. The fabric is still good as new and although the seat may be a bit 'softer' than when we first purchased it, it's also holding up quite well. Over all, we have been satisfied with the quality of furniture purchased through La-Z-Boy.

Lots of cool wooden…read morethings. Walpole Woodworkers is a home and garden type of place that has an incredible selection of mundane but also unusual and unique items. Of course a lot of the stuff is wood, like fences, cool light posts and mail box poles, huge and elaborate play sets for kids, nice sheds, gazebos and pavilions, tables, chairs and stools and my favorite, little wooden bridges. I've always wanted a bridge in my back yard, just wish I had a stream or river to put it over. Walpole also has some very cool and creative gates, arbors, cupolas and lattice thingies. If you actually make it inside the store you will see gigantic and very impressive looking bird houses. These aren't just little boxes nailed to a pole but a seemingly endless variety of shapes and sizes for everything from humming birds to pterodactyls. Lots of bird baths so the avians in the houses can stay clean and cool spheres, thermometers, wind chimes, garden critters and great looking weather vanes. Even high quality basketball hoops and backboards. All kinds of things that you probably never thought of but once you see will desperately desire. Some of the stuff you can take home in your pocket, other things you need a huge truck to move. I love going here just to look around, I seem to find new things every time. Sure, a lot of the stuff is basically useless and unnecessary and this isn't Wal-Mart, the prices aren't cheap. But if you are looking for a bird house that probably has more room than most people's homes, an baroque and ornate moon gate, a fat little Hotai Buddha, a lighthouse weathervane or a cool but totally useless and frivolous little bridge, this is the place.
