Touch of Serenity Massage Therapy is my go to for relaxation at its finest. They have a wide…read morevariety of massage offerings which makes them unique and competitive. They are one of the only places I found that offers Prenatal massages in Greensboro, so when I was 8 months pregnant I went to see Ruth, as she is certified in prenatal massage. The experience was great and just what the doctor ordered! She also offers induction massages as well, which I had my eye on just in case! Most recently based on availability, I have come to see Dana, who has magical hands! Truly I have walked away from my massages at TOS feeling more relaxed and refreshed than at any other local masseuse. I highly recommend either Ruth or Dana at Touch of Serenity!

Just got my butt whooped by Dana. Man when I told her she could go deeper I think she took it…read morepersonally (insert Jordan meme) haha. Normally a lot of people I know could not rub my neck for more than a minute at this pressure. But she did for an hour, I was impressed at her techniques and stamina. At first I was skeptical, $90 is a bit much for my budget (which is sad for self care I know). But I can assure you Dana will put in more than that of work. You can tell. Definitely worth the price and I will be back! I also appreciate the health precautions they take. This new flu strain getting everyone is no joke and I like the matters they take to insure people are safe and transmitting will be at a minimal. Pro tip: They put a lengthy disclaimer on their site for directions. Do not be alarmed, they want to make sure you get there but I assure you, just click on the address they give you and the GPS will take you 95% there. When you get to the cul-de-sac, you'll see where to turn and they put a convenient sign showing which side of the building to go to. It's simple! (In the pictures I took I highlighted the signs, they make it easy for you!)

A 100% yes on the quality of massage and healing experience. This should be on all health…read moreprofessional's list of recommended professional massage therapy practices.

I booked a "Therapeutic Table Massage" with Shannon Trudeau and had a very traumatic experience…read more When I arrived I explained to her I like firm pressure and was having issues with my shoulders and neck and upper back being very tight and I would like to primarily focus on those areas. The first 30 minutes of my massage were her guiding some sort of yoga nidra exercise with no actual massaging. I had to ask her when the massage would actually start. She seemed to have a huge ego about the request and continued her guided exercise. Once she did start "massaging" me, it was just her placing her hands on my body very lightly and doing static holds on trigger points. I explained to her I would Like more muscle stimulation in the form of a faster deeper massage but she didn't listen to my requests and kept doing the things she was doing that I did not ask for. She didn't pay attention tho the specific areas that I came in to address and spent most of the time on my arms and legs. She talked the majority of the massage and kept instructing me to take deep breaths. I do not come in to this for a therapy session which is what it felt like. The table was cold and so was the room. I had to ask her to turn the heat on the table mid session because I was freezing and her hands were freezing. She did not seem to have any knowledge of anatomy, massage, or draping. After the session was over she sat me down and wanted to go over her "findings" and it felt really uncomfortable having someone tell me all the areas in my body she noticed I was tight but not actually using the time I paid for to resolve any of those issues. I did not book a trigger point massage, a reiki session, or a therapy session. I mentioned to her multiple times I was not wanting the type of "massage" she gave me and she said that "energetically we may not be a good fit" - in my option this is such a rude thing to say to someone who was very clear about the massage I wanted to receive and requested it multiple times only to be completely ignored - probably because this person is not educated enough or capable of doing actual massage. This practitioner is borderline harmful and should not be practicing any healing modality. I felt disgusting after leaving her session. I felt completely ignored and judged. I debated weather or not I should leave this review but after experiencing this I wanted other people to know the potential harms of booking with this practitioner. Please remove her from "therapeutic table massage" because she didn't actually massage me and this is really misleading for customers.
