"David" is horrible to deal with --- on every level. In my and my wife's experience, he has been rude and obnoxious. Just read the the abundance of negative reviews here (interesting how David responds to the negative reviews). I won't waste my time re-visiting and recounting my negative experience. Bottom line: the "customer service" was simply atrocious and the work was shoddy. One of the recent reviews, on 5/26/26, sums up my own experience: "David is the worst and tries to cast blame on the customer for their complete ineptitude and fraud.....When we tried to contact David to get to the bottom of it, he called the call "hostile" when we confronted him about the lies and said that it was my fault for waiting so long to call back. He had asked me to send him a video of the issue after he left (as God forbid he tried to recreate it) and never responded until multiple phone calls. FUN! When they finally came back out with the alleged part replacement cited on the original invoice and wasnt able to fix it. He then said the warranty company would follow up. Turns out the reason they didn't follow up was because Ashton sent two contradictory responses to the warranty company. One was that the repair was complete, and the other that the part needed to be replaced. When we tried to contact David to get to the bottom of it, he called the call "hostile" when we confronted him about the lies and said that it was my fault for waiting so long to call back. My experience with Ashton Electronics was actually through a warranty claim with a Sony TV. The rating given is mostly based on their scheduling rather than the actual repair service provided. I initially came here to see the reviews and asked sony if they had other contractors in the area but Ashton was the only available. There were 2 repairs performed in total but there was alot of back and forth with scheduling the first time. I work weekdays, as most people do, and I could only schedule on a certain day. They told me the apt. Was confirmed and then called me a few hours later telling me they couldn't do it on said day. Great. So we moved it to the weekend. Turns out. The guy didn't work those days. So again after a couple calls we got someone to come out on a Sunday when I would Actually be available. Repair was done. Simple and fast. Fast forward a few weeks, tv messed up again. Sony has Ashton call again but this time we locked down another weekend for the repair without Issues. The tech came, put on booties to not dirty my carpet and performed the repair In a Timely manner. Great service. Both times I received an invoice and an email going over the repairs. I will point out that both repairs were to replace manufacturers defective components with new ones and NOT to diagnose and repair. Again the service was standard but the scheduling could be alot better as you've probably seen in other reviews. read more

We are so disappointed with the service we haven't received, about our stacked washer/dryer. We have been trying to get in contact with someone, and we keep getting a run around. We would like to be reimbursed for a lack of professional services. We have a 2-year warranty, that doesn't expire until 2026. We have been going back and forth to the laundromat, since July of this year. We filed a claim for service, Assurant on August 23, 2025, and it was approved on August 25th, to Ashton Electronics. We had to go back Lowes, and purchase a new stacked washer/dryer on, September 22, 2025. We are not pleased with what has been going on here, with Ashton Electronics, and Assurant. We called Assurant and spoke with Geck, and told him we wanted to be reimbursed, but he couldn't help. We asked to speak with a supervisor, but he said a supervisor wasn't available, but one would call us back within an hour. We are still waiting on that call back, today, September 26, 2025. We were able to find an email address for Assurant, and notified them about the situation, and we got an automated email reply saying someone would contact us within 30 days. I recently took my Epson HOME CINEMA 4010 projector to Ashton Electronics for repair, and, unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The issue was misdiagnosed (it was not the "main board"), and the estimate was much higher than expected. I decided to pick up my projector and pay the diagnostic fee rather than proceeding with the repair. Afterward, I took it to another repair shop, where the problem was correctly identified and fixed at a much more reasonable price (1/3 the quote). While I understand that diagnosing electronics can be complex, it was frustrating to have invested both time and money without a good solution. If you're considering Ashton Electronics for Epson projector repair, it might be worth getting a second opinion or voicing your concern to them directly before proceeding. Maybe they are good with other products, but I would be cautious about getting an Epson Projector repaired here. Maybe it is a one time mistake, or maybe this is a pattern. I am going to give three stars, because before the misdiagnosis the service was fine. They promptly responded to my emails, they gave me a hard quote in PDF format, and answered my phone calls when I called. Admittedly, they did not get a chance to rectify the situation. I don't know what would've happened if I left it there. My concerns remain the misdiagnosis and the very high quote. As one last note, my projector is fix & working correctly as we speak... Sony 77" OLED power supply replacement under warranty. Primarily is a scheduling complaint but also they showed up with the wrong part. Sony shipped the part and kept me in the loop about its arrival at Ashton. After waiting several days I had to reach out to them myself. The first contact was a mixture of not taking responsibility for me having to call them and whining that I was 16 miles from them and they normally don't drive that far. None of which had anything to do with me, the customer. David insisted on techs coming on a day where I work and stated I would be there first appointment and they would be on their way shortly after 8am. I had work at 11 so this seemed reasonable. At 9:40 I called because no one had showed up yet and was told they just left and will arrive by 10am. I questioned why I was told they would leave at or shortly after 8am and he rudely denied saying it and only said he told me they would be done by 11. So I was being called a liar at this point while he was actually the liar. Then they arrive and tell me they should be done by 11 and I have to explain to them that I work at 11 and they need to be done by 10:40 at the latest. They said they can do it so I showed them to the TV. They disassembled the tv and then open the box that was shipped to them by Sony. Immediately they said it was the wrong part. WHY WAS THE PART NOT VERIFIED UPON RECEIVING IT? So all this for nothing. On top of that they laid my tv down on its face and there is a small scratch and some hairline marks on the screen that were not there before. Luckily they are only visible when it is off and I am close to the screen but I have reported it to Sony. The second repair didn't lay my tv down on its face but since they actually repaired it they had to be questioned first. Rude Customer service (David) and techs showing up with the wrong part makes Ashton Electronics a very poor choice. read more

David Rob contacted me multiple times during each phase of the repair from booking the appt, to part ordering to making the final appt. He was engaged and kept me informed throughout the full journey. Dean Aquino was our repair man. He was knowledgeable, efficient and respected our time. Within minutes he diagnosed the issue. My experience with Ashton Electronics was great, I have no complaints. I also had an issue with my Sony tv, and they sent out a technician from Ashton. Well before that they contacted me regarding scheduling the service, which went pretty smoothly, though I do wish I had a clearer confirmation of my appointment. But the service was great, one of their technicians came out and repaired my tv very quickly, he was in and out in only about 15 minutes. The technician was very kind and courteous, letting me watch him work and explaining what he was doing. Considering it was a free service as part of my tv's warranty, definitely a great value. While the actual repair person that came out to assess/repair the issue with my ice maker last Friday was helpful and professional, the owner (David) is consistently rude and unprofessional. I was advised by the repairman that a part needed to be ordered and that he would return by this Friday to install it. After not receiving a follow up call regarding what THEIR REPAIR PERSON STATED, I called in and got David, yet again. You would think that a courtesy call, text, or email stating there was a delay obtaining the part from the manufacturer would be standard practice however, he proceeds to devolve into a diatribe about HIM not saying that it would be repaired today, it not being HIS responsibility to notify me of a delay with receiving a part, etc. Coincidentally, soon after posting my truthfully articulate initial 1 star review early today, which he reported and had removed, I get an email stating that the part was just ordered, TODAY! Having read through EVERY SINGLE 1 star review posted for this business, I concur with it ALL and strongly encourage you to take your business elsewhere. Their technician was available to come the next day, was on time, very professional and knew his craft. He was able immediately to identify the problem, ordered the replacement pieces and came back to install them in a matter of days. This company exhibited THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ‼, that I have EVER experienced. A service technician came out to inspect my refrigerator on a Monday and did not even provide a turn -around time, as to when my repairs would be completed. Their service technician was DISMISSIVE and did not address my additional issues that I was experiencing. He rushed through the inspection, as if he was in a hurry and did not even look at me. When I contacted the office, The office manager, "David" attempted to apologize. It is now Friday, and no one from Ashton Electronics has followed up, so I contacted them. Again, David informed that they were still waiting for the LOWES PROTECTION PLAN to authorize parts. It is UNCONSCIONABLE to request the customer to f/u. In addition, when I did f/u w/Ashton, I was initially placed on hold for 5 minutes, then, after f/u w/the protection plan, I called David back and when he answered he said, " We're in a very important meeting, please hold", which is also POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Extended Warranty and Whirlpool not so much, first with authorizing the part and then sending the part. Every time I called I was treated with patience, respect and prompt communication. After dealing with Whirlpool, Ashton finally went out and paid for the part themselves and were there that weekend and the washer was fixed. This company is a joke, they came in on 03/20/20 to take a look at my fridge, I kept having a small leak under it. Since it was under warranty I called the insurance and they sent Ashton. The technician took a look and said that the compressor is done, this is a 2 years old Sub Zero fridge! Can't be done so fast. He said that they will order parts and come back, luckily he never came back. Why luckily? Because the issue was that something was stuck at the drainage. A quick youtube search solved the issue. Ashton is the slowest repair company I have ever used. Getting parts takes weeks and weeks, then more time to schedule the repair service. A tech came out to assess my washing machine a month ago. He ordered parts and that took forever. He came back and said he had to replace the computer board of the washing machine (the machine is only 1 1/2 yrs old!). After replacing the entire computer board the washing machine STILL didn't work! He said he had to order more parts. That was weeks ago and I haven't heard from them. I am also dealing with a Lowe's Protection Plan, and they too are seemingly worthless. It's been over a month and I still don't have a functioning washing machine... So I just canceled the entire claim and purchased a brand new washing machine. Please don't use Ashton Electronics because they don't seem to know what they are doing, and it takes so long to even get service. read more

I hired these guys because they charged less for a specific job so I tried them for another few jobs. They wanted to overcharge to add other jobs while they were at the building I manage and that was worked out so I continued to call on them. Then once I gave them our credit card they charged us for a job they did not do and insisted I told them something different. I had to ask for the receipt, that's how I found out. THIS IS A LONG, BUT TRUTHFUL, AND MAYBE SLIGHTLY ENTERTAINING REVIEW. One of the worst experiences I've had with a service provider. Ashton was assigned for a warranty repair on my 2-year old LG fridge. They came the next day. The tech diagnosed the problem as the compressor, and told me it would take a week to get the part. 8 days later I got a call letting us know that our claim had been approved, and they were going to now order the part, which would take another week to get, but also asking if a 2nd tech could come out to make sure the first diagnosis was correct. I questioned why they told me they'd ordered it a week ago if they hadn't, and now I'm waiting two weeks? The person who answers the phone couldn't give me a straight answer. I also questioned, why, after a week had passed, they wanted to send someone out again to re-diagnose the issue? He said they were just trying to help me solve the problem. But when I asked why they didn't send the 2nd tech before a week had passed, again, no real answer. I told them to call me back when they had the compressor. Another 10 days passes, and we finally schedule the second tech to install the compressor. The fridge didn't sound like anything was happening w/ the fan or motor, but she insisted it was fine and just to let it cool. 20 minutes after she left, the same error code. The next day she came back. Apparently, you need to reset the electronics when you install a new compressor. Who knew? After a couple hours, she was finished, but again, it didn't seem like it was right. Mildly cold air was coming out of the freezer vent...when I questioned her, she said multiple times, it's fixed for now. I asked, "what does, for now, mean?" She kept insisting it was fixed for now. She left, and wouldn't you know it, the next morning the fridge hadn't cooled at all. I called their office again, admittedly, very pissed, and was told, "the job isn't done and we've ordered parts, but we need to talk to her, and we'll call you back." I asked why I was told the fridge was fixed if it wasn't, and why am I just hearing that she knew it wasn't fixed, and needed additional parts? Again, no real answer other than they are trying to help me. They called back late in the day, this time, telling me they'd ordered new parts, but I needed to call Lowes immediately to let them know the fridge still isn't working. I was irate, and wasn't pleasant in what I said, and was hung up on. I called Lowes, to find out Ashton had closed out the ticket once they submitted for the compressor, and they had to escalate the issue, since the ticket had been marked closed/completed. It was now Friday, and I'd have to wait until Mon. - Wed. to get a call back from them. After 5 days of stewing, I finally and received an email from Lowes saying they'd scheduled a final diagnosis appt. with Ashton that Friday from 8am-12. Friday came and went, and no Ashton. I called Ashton - at this point, me and their front office person simply don't like each other. He says no one scheduled any appt. with them, and now mockingly says, now that I've called Lowes (to reopen the ticket they closed), they can order the necessary parts - the ones he told me he'd already ordered. I ask what parts he's ordering this time, and he can't tell me. I get heated on the phone again, and we argue back and forth on who hung up with whom on the previous 2 calls (1 for him, 1 for me, if you're keeping score). So, I ask for a supervisor, to which he laughs and says there's no supervisor available...he ends up hanging up on me this time - that's 2 for him. I call Lowes warranty back and again I'm told they will escalate. This time I say I don't want to deal with Ashton again, and to get me another provider. We're 4 weeks in at this point, and finally, the next Monday, I'm contacted by another provider, who comes 4 days later and replaces half the fridge, including the new compressor Ashton had just installed. "Yeah, they did a Mickey Mouse job of fixing it," he tells me. Fast forward - the fridge works just fine now with that single 2-hour repair job. In truth, I've never gone through a warranty process for a major appliance, and I hope to never have to again, but I can promise I would never use Ashton for either a warranty repair, nor personal service on my own. To go more than a month, 3 diagnosis/repair visits, the despicable front office guy, and having to escalate the issue with the warranty company because Ashton closed the ticket prematurely, and then gaslighting me that it was my fault they couldn't move forward because they couldn't get approvals - how they are still in business is beyond me. TLDR: But, if you want this whole review summed up in 1 sentence - Ashton does a Mickey Mouse job of fixing things. Believe the 1 and 2-star reviews. Save yourself a huge headache, and find someone else. read more
