I love Thai food not only because of the affordable prices and the variety of flavors. Found myself…read morein jersey city and decided to check out this spot. It's a nice cozy spot, interior not to big (can sit five groups of two.) ordering is simple, at the front but the wait time is a bit long (seems like mostly for deliveries) The food was ok, the basil rice didn't have much of the basil flavor but it hit the spot, the drunken noodles was a bit overly salted.

Jersey City is kind of lacking in great Thai spots, or honestly, just Thai spots in general. We made a little thai mezze with pad see ew with shrimp, pad thai with chicken and pineapple fried rice with pineapple. -pad see ew was incredible, 5 stars, wish I could have it every night. The sauce was delicious, the noodles were so yummy and it had a really nice amount of crunchy veggies. And the shrimp were perfectly cooked! -I didn't love the pad thai but it was very much liked by others, so that might be a me preference. -the pineapple fried rice was really tasty, and almost had a curryish taste to it which was different. But the tofu that it came with was almost dehydrated. It was literally crispy on the outside and hallow on the inside. I didn't have more than a bite. Get the pad see ew!

A Decade of Love on a Plate: A Local Favorite That Punches Above Its Weight…read more This place is the definition of a neighborhood gem--the kind you almost want to keep secret, yet can't stop yourself from praising. Cheap and cheerful on the surface, it punches way above its weight class, delivering inventive, clean, Asian-inspired food that's masterfully cooked by clearly skilled hands--and made with real love. I've been coming back year after year for most of this restaurant's 10-year lifespan, and that consistency is no accident. Every dish tastes intentional, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying, with a clear goal: to feed people love on a plate. It's a super veggie/vegan friendly that easily wins over even my "meat and potatoes" husband--who happily cleans his plate every time. In an era where genuine hospitality feels increasingly rare, Perry single-handedly restored my faith that quality service is not extinct. Warm, attentive, and authentically kind, Perry makes every guest feel seen, welcome, and cared for--without pretense or attitude. This is food that nourishes, service that uplifts, and a place that keeps you coming back not just for the flavors, but for how it makes you feel. A true neighborhood treasure.

Mediocre food and very slow service!…read more This place was a disappointment for what I hoped from a highly rated ramen place in the area. The service was quite slow, almost waited 1 hour for entrees to be brought to the table. It's a small place with limited staff working everything. The food was fairly basic. The fried rice seemed to be bland and below par despite ordering the spicy version. My friend who ordered the ramen liked the soup but the meat was not fully cooked and felt chewy.

Stuffed calamari ($25) - there were literally 3 in the dish. 3. I ate one and you're seeing everything else we got. Beef rendang ($24) - 4 pieces of beef. Not wagyu... Pork w spring rolls on vermicelli ($24) - reasonable enough portion but very overcooked. Should be a staple of any Viet spot so idk what they're doing here Would call them right now but they close at 9.... on a Saturday.... I will update this review if I'm able to reach them during biz hours for a resolution but this is easily the most disappointing meal I've had all year. Save your hard earned money and go to Ela's greek or literally anywhere else on this block, even Dominos. EDIT: Went in next day and spoke to a manager, only mentioned portion size and showed the picture, didn't get a chance to say anything about everything being overcooked. He had clearly heard these complaints about portion size before, because he immediately launched into saying the cut of beef + tendon they use for the rendang yields that as their standard portion size. He refunded the calamari. I still won't be going back and would never recommend this place, but wanted to acknowledge the resolution. Also my husband unfortunately wasn't there to speak to them, but he's been in restaurants for 25 years and knows they served chuck, not a fancy cut...

Prince & I feels less like a restaurant and more like being invited into someone's home for dinner…read more-- in the best way possible. From the moment we walked in, the owner personally seated us and ended up cooking our food himself. He has a quirky, memorable personality that adds to the charm of the whole experience. It's the kind of place where you can tell the food is made with intention rather than being rushed out of a big commercial kitchen. The dishes were packed with flavor and tasted very authentic. You can really tell the ingredients and spices are balanced the way Thai food should be -- bold, savory, a little spicy, and deeply satisfying. Everything we ordered had great texture and presentation as well. Overall, it was a unique dining experience with authentic flavors and a memorable host. If you're looking for a polished corporate restaurant this isn't it -- but if you want something personal, quirky, and genuinely delicious, Prince & I is absolutely worth visiting. Would definitely come back!!

You have to wait until it is your turn for him to cook your food. The menu is confusing and difficult to understand, but basically it is pad thai, noodle soup or a crepe all with your choice of protein. We had the beef crepe and chicken pad thai. Both were excellent.
