This store is sensory overload! Sights and aromas, oh, my! Really great selection of noodles -- Ramen and other kinds -- plus a huge array of sauces for Oriental cooking you won't find anywhere else. Prices are reasonable. Very helpful staff read more

I Love this market. They have everything you need for cooking Asian food. I lean towards Thai, but you can find everything for: Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, etc. They have an excellent fresh produce section. Also, any kind of: soy sauce condiments, curry pastes, packaged spices, noodles,etc. you can imagine. I noticed they recently installed a new contained unit for seafood. There is also an entire area for meat and poultry. The far area of of the store has dinnerware and such, and there is an entire section for household goods. Everything is reasonably priced, and the people working there are very kind as well. read more

Nice market! Seems to cater to mostly Vietnamese, but we were able to find everything we needed to complete our Asian meal we had planned. The woman who was working the register was nice and helpful as well. Small, but well stocked. They had some sweets in a box up front that looked interesting. Noticed they were Philly (my hometown) from a bakery near where I grew up. I had never heard of this place, so I took the name and number to investigate when I get back home. read more

Has the absolute best in anything you would want to find in an authentic Asian market. Hands down five stars from me.

Wow, this place is great. It's clean, organized, bright, and get this.... the young woman working the register speaks English, knows what you are asking about, and will walk you over to get it. She helped me find, galangal, tamarind juice, and helped de-mystify noodles. She showed me some fresh pad Thai noodles I am going to try. We had a bit of a chat about what I like to cook, and I loved that she took an interest in my plans. The produce was so fresh, they had the nicest looking lemon grass I've ever seen. Their prices seemed more than fair, and the selection was staggering. I was in and out in no time, due to the helpful employee. (something I'm not used to from their competition on the other side of town). I can't wait to go back and spend some more time browsing this great store. read more

I didnt see anything remotely Spanish about this market. Its all Asian. In fact the whole complex is. During further visits, I found some sort of fruit in a bear shaped jar written in Spanish, but thats the only thing Ive seen. Theres a laundromat, market and beer distributor all right next to each other. Anyway, back to the market. Its small and PACKED! Theres tons of stuff here, so if youre just there to browse, get ready to be there for a while. Rice seems to be sold by the sack, and thats just cool. Fresh eggs, fish and whatever else you can think of is there. 3 M's or MMM! credit cards are accepted, but there is a 15$ minimum. read more

Clean, organized, and had an assortment of Asian food, fresh, frozen, and prepared, as well as Asian non food related products. Much cleaner then another local Asian Market that I've been to, however I found the staff to be on the rude side. An older lady sitting on the floor plucking leaves and bagging them did not speak English and seemed to yell at me when I asked for help finding an item. With all the foreign language packaging it can be confusing to find what you need. The fresh meat section carried chicken feet, complete with nails if you're looking for the exotic. I did finally manage to find a nice English speaking employee who helped me find what I needed. However at the check out I was standing there and not acknowledged while the two clerks carried on a non English conversation while I stood there awkwardly. Also credit cards have a min purchase of $15 so be prepared. Most likely I will visit again when the urge to cook Asian strikes and I need that hard to find Asian ingredient. . My biggest gripe is to add more English speaking and friendly employees as at the time of my visit the clientele was about 50% non Asian. which surprised me. I would assume the nearby residents use this as a corner store for essentials. read more

I came here once to find ingredients for Miso Soup. Very happy to see they had plenty to choose from! I had my husband go by today to get seaweed sheets and a bamboo mat for sushi. I'm happy this place is around when I want to find these things! I didn't look at the produce and meat. Maybe next time! The lady who rang me up was really nice. Another younger lady stocking the shelf wasn't too helpful when I asked where an item was. She didn't seem to know. Just be prepared to be there awhile because they have so much to look at! read more

Has all the staples that I need at better or similar prices to the other markets in the area (like Viet My). Definitely a very clean establishment with everything that I need in terms of vegetables, wrappers, noodles, bulk bags of rice, sauces, and meats that you won't get in a typical grocery store. read more

Good selection and fair prices..but watch them close at the check out. I come here fairly often and they over charge quite often. Today's visit I was over charged on fish which was corrected when i pointed to the price on the item, but one minute after I was over charged again on items they had marked 3 for 1 price. I was charged for each of the items instead of the 3 for 1 price. The staff is friendly and helpful, but when the cashier looks at the price and blatantly over charges, leaves one feeling ripped off. read more

The best Asian market in Lancaster by far. Clean, well-stocked, and prices are reasonable. I particularly appreciate the legit noodles across the Asian cuisine and the Thai curry paste. The kimchi comes in large containers, rather than little jars. Also has a nice selection of bowls, spoons, and other kitchen hardware and utensils, designed for Asian food. I also bought some fine Vietnamese coffee from Vietnam that has a different taste than more typically sourced beans. The Vietnamese culture in Lancaster is a wonderful blessing, much of it arising from the tragedy of the Vietnam War. So, the Asian Market represents more than just an ethnic grocery store. read more

This Asian market is very nice actually. I have been to a couple different ones such as one in Reading and one in Philly. I enjoy this one the most especially since it has fresh bean sprouts that I struggle to find anywhere! The selection of food variety here is very good, I recommend it! The staff are pretty friendly at the front just make sure that if you plan on using a credit card the minimum is $10! read more

They have variety of food items you can't find at Vietmy (another Asian market downtown) however, some items are more expensive than Vietmy. The way the cashier checks a customer out is sketchy though. I bought to similar snacks but different flavors; One was 1.50 and the other was 1.99, however the cashier put them both as 1.99. It felt like the cashier didn't know the set prices of their items and it felt like they just guess the prices as they ring items up. I don't trust them, so I won't come back often, I'll come to this store when I need a certain item that I can't find at another market. Other than that, I love the items they sell! read more

Great selection of canned goods, kitchen items, snacks, frozen foods, fruits and vegetables -- priced cheaply!! I found bok choy, yu choy and watercress here and have started making them a few times a week -- such a nice alternative to boring old broccoli. read more

Bad customer service. I bought durian at her store it turns out really bad. I went back the next day with my receipt along with the nasty durian and she don't want to give my money back. Ah...Asian Markets...Much like Nigella has said...perusing through any Asian Market, it s captivating. All the colorful labels, some with cartooned figures, and some with just bright cartoonist coloring. Most bottles or packages ,being all in a foreign language, i don't know what they are, what you serve them with, or what they are for...but i know i want them. This store is small, yet packed with so many different Asian accouterments . Korean, Chinese, Japanese,Thai.....endless flavor ideas. While they didn't have the exact item i was looking for ( Gogi jaang....spelling ?.. a sweet chili paste from Korea) ,I did walk out of there spending $30. I must have walked down each aisle (only 5) at least three times with eyes looming large. The girl that worked there, while young was very helpful and answered my questions to the best of her ability. The prices are crazy cheap. Aside from Asian fare, they do play host to a super small assortment of Spanish (Goya) items. It does try to play to the neighborhood. They do have some fresh produce and meats. The fresh meats they have, are on a little more on what some would call the exotic side. The Asian Market on Liberty, as a whole is pretty good. They have melona bars here!! Only place in lancaster. They sell strawberry, melon, mango, and banana bars in 8 count packs and individual servings. If you haven't had a melona bar, you better get to asian market. I recommend the strawberry, it's by far my favorite. read more
